Good location, in need of TLC

Hotel is well located but amenities were sub standard- Hot water needed to be asked. Batheroom had no toiletries, breakfast was basic but tasty. The staff was quick to respond but faced with some inadequate facilities. Kids did enjoy the swimming pool which was well maintained.

Hotel from Hell - Avoid at All Costs!

Traveling as dad with 2 young children. In good faith, anticipating no problems, I settled hotel bill in cash prior to actual late checkout, so that manager could leave for day... But then back at room, discovered laundry I'd paid exorbitant cleaning charge for (relative to other hotels throughout India/Nepal trip) were not washed AT ALL. Although neatly pressed & folded, no clothes had ever touched water. All clothing articles still bore the exact filth (dried bodily fluids, rat feces) intended to be washed out. We'd done camel safari in Jaisalmer, visited Rat Temple in Bikaner, etc. Never in life have properly cleaned clothes been more needed, than during this overnight stay at Marwar Hotel & Gardens. Their dishonesty of returning filthy clothes to us unwashed, then charging outrageous fee... Manager knew our train was leaving for Jaipur in less than an hour. Surely he'd have decency to refund our laundry payment, so we could have clothes properly cleaned at next stop? No. Manager sat zonbie-like for an hour (riding out the clock) while we showed him the totally uncleaned clothes, proving no work had been done, kids in tears screaming, begging him to do the commercial & ethical right thing: return money paid for unfulfilled laundry service. He called hotel's owner, who without even observing the still horribly dirty clothes, instructed hotel to keep money: provide no refund. Understandably angry, I vowed online response. Here it is. You have been warned, dear traveler.

Pleasant stay

I was here last week. friendly staff. comfortable stay in suite but the tub was a disappointment with no perfect hot water. quality of food is good but less choice of dishes in package breakfast and dinner. Overrated but still worth it.

comfortable bed

I was not happy with the bedroom , they up great in a nice bedroom, our stay was very comfortable, the staff was not very professional but very nice.

Super süßes Hotel!

Als wir in Jodhpur angekommen sind hatten wir echt Angst wo wir landen würden aber dieses Hotel ist eine Oase! Es ist ruhig ( für Indien) der Pool ist super schön und das Personal gibt sich mühe. Die Zimmer sind echt schön und sauber! Für ein 3 Sterne Hotel in Indien echt gut!

Not good

There are plenty of nice hotels in Jodhpur. This is not one of them. Staff are monosyllabic and unhelpful. Room was in good condition but fixtures cheap and badly installed - eg plugs that didn't work. Main business there appears to be functions, so beware, there may well be a noisy late night wedding party outside your window.

Disappointing place with bad rooms

First, the bed didn't have any sheets, only an older blanket that looked like it hadn't been washed in quite a while. It was so bad that my friends in another room refused to sleep with it and slept in their clothes. Also, when my girlfriend went to take a shower the first morning she picked up her towel and saw a large stain on it that couldn't come out with washing. She spent the rest of the time there drying herself off with dirty clothes because she didn't even want to touch the other towel. I definitely would not recommend this hotel. It's a shame too. The property is pretty nice and could be much better with a few small improvements. The location is not very close to many of the tourist sites you would want to see but it's easy to get a rickshaw ride to town and back at any time of the day and the ride is only about 10 minutes. The staff was nice but not very helpful - we were waiting for them to process our passports before we went to town and when I checked in on them after an hour I found they hadn't even touched them. There must better options.

Second room offered.

The first room we were given had a shower with mold on the ceiling. We were moved to another room which was large and had a large shower area with hot water. No heat in room. Restaurant served breakfast that was acceptable. Close to train station and not too far from airport. Not much else in the immediate area around the hotel.

Very good place to stay and good food too........

As per my conversation with the hotel staff, the hotel was a sprawling provate bunglow before being converted to a hotel. I liked the layout of the hotel which is unlike a typical hotel that tries to maximize the rooms. It is a small hotel with big lawns on 2 sides of the hotel and a central courtyard that gives a very bright and sunny feel to the hotel. The hotel though not centrally located, is reachable by public transport. The quality of the food served is very good. I would recommend visitors to atleast have 1 full meal at the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and very clean although the fit and finish of the room can do with the bit of improvement. The drain pipe of the split AC emptied in the shower area of the bathroom. The hotel staff is very helpful and always serve you with a smile.

Location is little bit away from main bazaar

I had very comfortable stay, staff was friendly and manager was hospitable.Food in the restaurant was delicious and always fresh and warm and pricing was very reasonable.
