This is a very nice property to stay. It’s convenient to 2 large shopping malls - very close by that have every store available. What I think I liked best about staying at this City Lodge was the staff. They were more than happy to help with any request but then were surprised and so grateful at even the smallest tip offering. They had no expectation of receiving a tip and all seemed to just want to help. This is the kind of place that is memorable because it feels safe and someone is looking out for you. Thank you from a grateful American.

Excellent hotel with apartment / condo suites
Absolutely wonderful premises and the staff is exceptional! I travel across many African countries and have stayed in premium hotels. This hotel has treated me like family and remember me between visits. The manager personally checks in on me several times during stay. Very secure, restaurant is very good and well priced. I highly suggest for business , group or family travels . Safe, clean, friendly, and very quiet.

Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Johannesburg, the Courtyard has never let us down. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Have to mention Bronwen who helped sort out a small issue I had with my car rental...thank you!

The rooms are pleasantly furnished and quite roomy. The beds are comfy; the bathrooms spacious and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful with many nice places to sit. The food is tastefully prepared in a lovely dining room. The staff is pleasant and always accommodating . There is very little nearby so a car is necessary

Good location between Johannesburg CBD & the airport, if you need to get to Johannesburg CBD for business. I got a room with 2 singles which wasn’t great, but the facilities are good enough get through job done in a safe & clean manner.

Happy and content customer
The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The room has everything one could need during a business trip (without having to call reception). The fresh free takeaway breakfast muffins always fill the gap when rushing out the door in the morning.

Secure Comfort
I was on my own and I felt safe at all times. I asked for extra milk once and I received it every day after that. I received xtra special service from the receptionist who booked me in on the Sunday right down to your security at the gate, every day of my stay, thank you very much. I wish I took these people's names, I think it's so much better to mention them by name, I will remember next time.

One night in johannesburg
A nice place, a bit of an inconvenient location for most I would suspect but not for me. Limited bar restaurant services but sufficient for me. Advertised a hotel shuttle to the airport and nearby areas but it was not really true. They will order you a car, or a taxi, or an Uber but I could do that myself. There is no hotel shuttle. I tend to think of hotel shuttles as gratis except for maybe a tip to the driver.

Business Stay in Courtyard Eastgate
My stay was a pleasant one, very helpful, polite and cheerful staff from General Manager to cleaners and all in between! Despite food choice being limited there was plenty of it and was all tasty. Local area apparently not particularly safe but I had no issues during my stay. Would stay there again and would recommend to others

Handy for a stop over as reasonably close to the airport - uber much cheaper than shuttle Fairly basic hotel but very friendly helpful staff . Great breakfast, spacious 2 bed apartment but shower is cold! Takes 30 mins to heat up then only just warm enough.

Nice clean spacious hotel rooms
Nice quiet location, tucked away in a business park backing onto a park. Rooms are suites with a separate bedroom, large bathroom. Staff were very pleasant and the complementary happy hour drinks were a nice touch. Breakfast was great and they had baked beans, a personal favorite. On caveat, don't ask the hotel to arrange a local taxi. The car was very small and over 10 years old and in bad condition. Make your own taxi arrangements. Blah,blah, blah,blah...what do you mean, you want me to add more? The hotel staff was very understanding my flight to Lusaka was in the evening and they allowed me to stay in the hotel till 13.00 hours yet the check out time is 11.00 hours at No extra charge
