We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but we heard from other guests and online reviews so I decided to echo their opinions.
The location is very near CIQ - walkable but because of the construction works and road works and general the roads in JB are not friendly to pedestrians so we usually e-hail or Grab to the hotel.
The rooms are quite spacious - it’s our 2nd stay. We had connecting rooms so that’s really proactive on the hotel reception / booking team- my thanks!
The staff team at the reception were excellent and friendly. No proper Q for the check-in and we had another group that tried to skip ahead of us but the staff was adamant that they wait their turn - again my thanks.
There was a bit of wait but additionally staff came out to assist! Kudos!!
The cookies were well appreciated but the welcome drink was overly sweet! An option for a lemon-infused cold water would be good since it was a hot day coming into JB across the causeway.
The team reached out over the WhatsApp too - connecting to the guest over this channel can be intrusive for some but I welcome such interaction being used to the in-app chat of Bonvoy. Great effort to provide this additional channel. I am not booking through the Hilton Honor app so I did not manage my stay with it.
In summary, great staff, great location and still an excellent hotel in JB! Hopefully the road works and construction will end quickly and better pedestrian walkways built and it’s a hassle for the Grab driver to drive.
