During the time of this visit (Dec 2022) the south coast of Vancouver Island received a large amount of snow fall and colder than usual temps which is unprecedented for the area. This causes 30-50 trees to fall over power lines. This cottage is also equipped with a gas fireplace for when the power goes out.

Hi Jane, thanks for the review. In regards to the cover photos they are a combination of the various cottages in the area. Each cottage has their own description and photos.

Thanks Douglas for your feedback. We are sorry you felt mislead by the advertising. Approximately half of our cottages are above the marina looking out over the water while the other half are garden view and setback from the water. Unfortunately the way the site is designed is similar to a hotel layout where you have group pictures applying to the property as a whole, but to see your individual cottage (room) you need to select the individual room photo reel. I will review the listing to make sure it is reflective of the intent.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review Gary, the 4 star is much appreciated. Some people like soft mattress, other like it hard, it is difficult to please everybody. Having said that, we will be sure to test the bed, and make the necessary changes if needed. Thanks for brining this to our attention. The door is a much more difficult thing to fix. Port Renfrew is a very damp area, and wood door will swell, or contract depending of the season. When guest follow the instruction to push slightly on the door after doing the code, all work properly :) We are please to learn that you enjoyed your stay with us. Best Regards
