Location was nice, but this is not a “Full-Service” Resort. During the week there was no lunch or dinner. Literally no food except the HoloHolo market which is outsourced and the staff in the HoloHolo are terrible. Partially a woman named Lala and an older woman who kept telling me that she couldn’t charge the room except ever other employee was able to charge to room. She just didn’t want to make the extra effort. The food at the bar and the restaurant (which was only
Open 2 out of 6 nights I was there) was terrible and expensive. Service was great. Marie and Leana were amazing. Their kindness made it better that my “Farfalle pasta with garlic cream sauce and grilled chicken” was literally 2 Lean Cuisines warmed up on their plastic trays and put on a nice plate. The chicken was that rib meat chicken that isn’t even the right texture.
I will say, the property is amazing. I loved the Mantas at night, the beautiful sunsets, and it’s location relative to all other locations on the big island. That was good. I just wish the service and amenities were better. As another example is, the toilet was one of those toilets that has the industrial flusher you see in a middle school lol. I actually didn’t mind that but this is advertised as a “4-Star, Full Service Resort and Spa” which is kind of a joke. I would stay there again, but only
If they charged the price of a Motel 6. Ok, fine, a embassy suites or something that you get on a quick business trip.
