Perfect Hotel Alternative
This is our number one "go to" place when we visit KC. We check to see if this property is available before we check on any other place. The host is great and the apartment is clean, comfortable and conveniently located. We will definitely be back!

Lovely stay
We were in town for the NCAA wrestling championships and this was the perfect little VRBO for what we needed! Susan was so nice and checked on us daily! The yard is absolutely breathtaking and a great place to just sit and relax!

Wonderful experience
Susan did a wonderful job of making us feel comfortable and at home. She had so many things available to make our stay easier, from coffee pods to charging plugs. She had thought of many things that helped our time there be stress free.

Great getaway!
This apartment is very quiet and has a beautiful view from the patio. The host was amazing and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. Many thanks to such a hospitable host!

Private and quiet
Close to Kansas city, yet very private and quiet. The check in/out process was a breeze and the host was very gracious. Property is comfortable and welcoming. Pool table was a big hit with family. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Cozy Retreat
We really enjoyed this property because the host was so wonderful. The space is compact, but had everything we needed. The TV had a good variety of channels and there was a full sized pool table with all the trimmings. The bed was comfy and there was a walk in shower. The kitchen was minimal, but we ate out while we were sight seeing and only used the microwave to heat up left overs. The host made sure we had everything we needed. She greeted us with delicious pastries on arrival and baked us cookies the second day. The only down side is that entry involves walking down stairs and across the back yard to gain entry to the walk out badement. If you have mobility issues, this can be challenging. However, once inside you have a cozy retreat perfect for a couple with the best host we've encountered.

The hostess was very nice! Property listing in VRBO was very misleading. I had no idea that the "apartment" was in the basement of a house with owners upstairs.

it is unfortunate when people don’t read the entire description of a listing. In the description under guest access, it describes the fact that this is the lower level of our house.

Quiet & Relaxing
We loved the location. It was a nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting on the patio in the mornings and being close to shopping and restaurants. We will stay here again if we ever need a place.

Perfect!
This unit was better than the listing portrays! We were in town to visit our son who lives in Olathe. The neighborhood was so pretty, quiet and easy to get to. Susan is so attentive and really cares that you have a nice stay. We will definitely return for future visits.

Home away from home
Was greeted by Susan and Tom upon arrival. Friendliest couple, Susan showed us the apartment, answered all questions we had. She left us pastries and orange juice and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Highly recommend staying here. Will definitely stay here again! Thank you Tom and Susan for your kindness!!!

Just as described, but even better
From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by a good friend, from Susan’s smile to her chalkboard note to the surprise of seeing an anniversary card, fresh flowers, and bottle of wine awaiting our arrival. The little fireplace, candles, string of little white lights outside and decor were charming. So clean, fresh, comfortable, fun, relaxing, restful. It was rainy and chilly, so we soaked up the beautiful backyard for only a short bit before going back inside. Enjoyed a couple games of pool, loved the pizzas at Martin City (taproom and pizzeria). Great breakfast at Caleb’s; location was ideal. We highly recommend this little slice of Heaven.

Cozy retreat
Very cozy spot with beautiful view from the living room area. I slept fantastic. Comfortable bed and zero light interrupting my sleep. The kitchenette took some getting used to exchanging the toaster for the hot plate on the “table top,” which used to be a bar; all very workable and a very peaceful stay. Thank you so much.

The Best Stay Ever

Excellent experience
I quarantined for two weeks in this comfy, basement apartment which looks out on a lovely green area. It does not have a full kitchen, but the owners were most accommodating and I had no trouble fixing meals with a microwave, toaster oven, and electric frying pan. They created a washing space, and provided a second small fridge in the adjacent workroom, and everything worked out great. The neighborhood is peaceful and there are nice parks and walking trails nearby, and a grocery and restaurant center if you don’t mind about a mile walk. You will hear footsteps and trains, but neither are bothersome. The owners are friendly and quick to respond.

Great place, location and neighborhood. Quiet dead end street. Perfect place of you want privacy.
Driving up gave us a very comforting feeling as it is on a dead end street. Susan (property manager) was readily available as I called arriving. She greeted us with social distancing and masks and gloves. Showed us the place and went on her way. Very cozy and roomy and a home feel for us not being home. It's a small little wordly place that don't feel small at all. Porperty manager texted if we needed anything the first evening, which I found very attentive, for the night. Never heard from her again until I contacted her that we was leaving. We have business in the area again in the next few and we are going to go to stay here again.
