Long KC weekend

It was a nice location for us to drive to multiple KC locations. We felt safe and walked the dog on a 6 block grid walk several times a day. The fenced yard was nice but there was a large down tree and mosquitoes inhabiting the yard. Our dog is larger and could have jumped the fence so she was always escorted in the backyard. There were storms in the area, weeks prior. We only used plates, bowls, cups in the kitchen so we can't speak to how well stocked it was for cooking. Beds were comfortable and we use sound machines everywhere we go anyway. We appreciate that the property is dog friendly. When we arrived, the toddler dropped trail mix on the carpet so we vacuumed it up and the vacuum pulled up a lot of dust/other danger and hair and we had just arrived so it wasn't ours. The house is decorated top notch, very cute and trendy. The water and ice dispenser on the fridge do not work and we were unable to ever get the internet working. We messaged owners and they were quick to respond and offer troubleshooting tips. They didn't work and honestly we just looked at our tablet for any tv watching because we were in no stress mode. We hope the internet is resolved for the next guests. Try the coffee shop and pizza nearby (walkable).

Good little house, enjoyed the updated finish, the porch was cozy at entry.

We would stay again, enjoyed the kitchen set up and screened in porch. The backyard is nice for pets. A cute home and Convenient location. Manager was easy to communicate with questions and quick response.

Great location, extremely well stocked place!

I stayed at the Waldo Walkabout for 9 days while my dad was hospitalized at Research Medical Center. The home was an absolute life saver for me and my family. It is one of the most well stocked rentals I’ve ever stayed in, particularly in the kitchen. It was clean and well maintained and comfortably and beautifully decorated. The location is unbeatable, I could walk to Aldi, Walgreens, multiple restaurants and a gym, and there is a walking/running trail a block away as well. It was a perfect location for a long stay.

Cute property/home but lacked a bit

Pros: Good location (can walk to eat, drinks, grocery store, etc.), cute & clean home, comfy beds, responsive host, thoughtful check in packet. Overall this is a good place to stay with another couple or another friend! The house is small, a shotgun style house, which isn’t a bad thing but can be difficult to tell from photos. We did have some things that made our stay less than ideal. The fridge filter water was broken and we needed that for our baby’s bottles, so we headed out to grab bottled water for the weekend. The front room was missing its curtains for the window facing the street which cause the room to be very bright all night from a nearby street lamp. Also there were no Keurig cups provided for the keurig which was a bummer. Lots of added costs for anythjng extra you’d want (early check in, high chairs, etc.) No place is perfect, but the part that left a bad taste for us was when we alerted the host of the issues with the fridge and curtains there was no acknowledgment of the way this would impact our trip or apology, just a response thanking us for letting them know & they’d fix it when we checked out. This property is one of many this hosts owns, which just causes you to miss out on that personal connection/understanding.

Good stay

The house is really cute, and has some great furniture pieces. It had a strange smell when we arrived, we all agreed it smelled like dry dog food. Weird. Would suggest some throw blankets available for when watching TV. The beds and pillows were hard, in both rooms. There was a lite blanket and sheets on each bed. Only one extra blanket in the whole house. It was cold and rainy our time in KC. We didn't cook or anything but seemed to be nicely stocked. I was disappointed that KCups weren't provided for the Kruig (I would have brought some), the filter on the water tank needs to be addressed ASAP. Location was great, totally walkable to many restaurants and shops. All n all a great stay! Just get more blankets. Ned and pillows were hard. There was

Nice Bungalow and convenient location

The property was just as advertised. It was well stocked, great fenced backyard for our pup, and close to everything we needed. The kitchen was adorable with enough pots/pans, etc and the couch was large and comfy. It fIt our needs for our weekend stay and super convenient to the Waldo area of KC.

Surreal..

The property & Kristen were great and exceeded all expectations. The location was perfect as it was close to restaurants, bars and stores. The neighborhood was quiet and the house had a distinguished quaintness to it! I will definitely stay here again. The whole time I was visiting or shopping, I found myself looking forward to going back to this house at the end of the day. Patio was the perfect spot for morning coffee.

CLEAN, cozy, convenient, and so cute!

I travel so much for work and rarely find a place that checks all of my boxes, but this one did! Safe neighborhood for early runs ✔️, clean ✔️, pet friendly ✔️, outside spot for coffee sipping ✔️, comfortable sleep situation ✔️, laundry ✔️, and conveniently located ✔️. The cuteness and all of the added touches were bonus!

Enjoyed our stay!

Clean, Safe. First thing I checked was info on crime activity in KC. This was in safer areas. The house is older small home, and from outside appearance I hesitated, but it is perfect. Is in older neighborhood with beautiful big trees, that make a wonderful walk, with the shade they provide. We have 2 dogs - need to "work-out" to keep happy. Tile floors, a secure fenced yard, and a safe lovely neighborhood to walk in was important to me to reduce the stress of "dogs on trip". The house is so well equipped and stocked, it was nice not to have to bring half my house with me. If you forget to bring something with, be sure to check a cabinet because it is probably there. We enjoyed sitting out front in the screened in porch as well as back deck. I think one of the things we really liked was the Waldo Walkabout area, and the quick easy access to anything/everything. We had a meal in the brookside area, Red Door Woodfired Grill, short drive, delicious food. Later we walked around the business area and ended up in a wonderful outdoor seating area where we relaxed with a late-night sip and snack before strolling back to the house. We came for a concert at Arrowhead Stadium, nice with easy access to highway nearby. We also enjoyed a few hours spent at the Country Club Plaza, surprised by the close easy drive. The only thing to disappoint us, was wishing we had been able to spend a few more days. Highly recommend this house and Cozy in KC!

Perfect for our needs

We needed a house for one night to break up a long drive between Minneapolis and Wichita. The decor and appointments were great - in this case it was the funky, chic, opposite of traditional "home-y" vibe that I wanted. I loved it all. There's a beautiful screened in porch, and a deck with table and chairs. There's lots of restaurants nearby. There are two things I want to mention for anyone "like me" - meaning in my 50s and with physical stability challenges. First, the house is older and has settled quite a bit, and there are uneven spots in the floor that caused me to stumble a little bit. Once I knew about them, and where they were I was just fine. Second, the stairway to the basement (where the laundry machines are)... Granted, I'm not from basement country, so I don't have a lot to compare it with, however: The door opens into the open stairwell. There is no railing on the upper portion of stairs and, with my wobbly joints, it was difficult to manage. Once I was safely back into the kitchen, I turned to close the door - and I had to reach out over the drop by holding onto the door frame with my right hand to try and reach the door handle with my left. I'm a daily laundry do-er, but I decided to skip it after trying out the stairs to check out the basement space. Once was enough for me! Otherwise, the property was great and I'd stay there again!
