Lakeland Cottage
Great location and property. We have stayed here many times before as it's ideal for a quiet family break away. The cottage is always spotless and thanks again to the owners Tina & Keith who always make the place so welcoming.

Rural Perfection!
We had had quite a difficult year, and decided at very short notice to book a few days away.We couldn't have chosen a more idyllic place. This cottage delighted us in every way. It is cosy, warm, quiet, comfortable, with a wonderful little garden, and the best equipped kitchen of any holiday let we've ever stayed in. And we have stayed in quite a few! The utility room was a godsend. We could change and leave muddy boots in there. We could also use it to rub down our soggy hound, and store all her food and equipment, leaving the living space clean and dry. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious, with a fabulously deep bath, and powerful walk-in shower. The area is great for walking, and Tina and Keith have supplied a lot of information about different routes. They have obviously put a lot of thought, and care, into this little haven, and the welcome gift of Prosecco and carrot cake was very welcome, along with the milk in the fridge. We can't praise this place enough, and we were reluctant to leave, but hopefully, we will be back.

Great Property and great location
This was our second stay this year at the cottage...it's an extremely well-kept property in a great location, perfect for exploring the local area and the Lakes. We've been coming back here every year since 2018 and have never had any issues. Hats off to the owners Tina & Keith, who keep the place in such good order.

Lakeland cottage
Lovely cottage just outside of Kendal. The garden was great for the dogs and enjoyed walks from cottage. The cottage itself was very nice, clean, spacious and had everything you needed. Welcome pack was a nice touch!

Fabulous holiday stay
This has been one of our all time favorite places to stay. The host has thought of everything needed. After a long day of travel, we were welcomed with a nice basket of treats and more. Set in a quiet area and surrounded by natural beauty, you can immediately relax in one of the comfy chairs and watch the variety of birds in the garden or curl up with one of the books from their collection. Conveniently located to the lakes, dales, and other sites, there are several maps and directions for nearbywalks. Everyday necessities and excellent eateries are also close by. Without a doubt, we would stay here again. This is a very special place and I have to admit I shed a few tears when it came time to leave. Thank you, Tina and Keith, for giving us a place to make fond family memories for a lifetime.

Lovely clean quiet cottage. Really enjoyed the big bath and watching all the birds in the garden. Loads of information on walks. Small point but sharper knives and peelers would’ve been appreciated in the kitchen.

Beautiful location
We have just spent 5 nights here.The cottage is absolutely lovely, Tina and Keith have lovingly restored it to a high standard. It was lovely to come home each day after enjoying the amazing walks that are all close by, and totally relax in comfort. The cottage has everything and really is home from home.

A comfortable 3 bedroom cottage with a lovely garden, well located just off the M6 near Kendal, ideal for visiting the Lake District. Decorated to a high standard and with all home comforts, this dog-friendly cottage is the perfect base for your holiday. Highly recommended.

Superb!
Absolutely lovely cottage to stay in! Old cottage feel with modern and high end amenities! It is cozy, comfortable and in a great location with access to walks and great pubs not too far away. I think what stood out the most was the effort Tina and Keith put forward as hosts. Whether it was the cottage, the welcome package or communication - it was all first rate and we hope to come back again with our kids and dog. Great stay!!

Great location for walking and relaxing
This was the perfect place to base ourselves for a walking and exploring holiday. The house was wonderfully well set up with everything that we needed. The hosts provided great instructions and recommendations for restaurants and local walks and activities. We loved the warm homely feel created by the log fire and the fantastically well set up kitchen which meant we could enjoy home cooked meals after long walks. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed evenings spent looking through all the maps, books and other resources so thoughtfully provided. We would love to stay here again but next time for longer.

Wonderful home & great owners
We had a fantastic time at The Coach House. Tina & Keith have done such a wonderful job making it feel like home. There was a lovely welcome hamper for us on arrival, made even lovelier with the welcome note & best wishes for my mum's birthday. It gave us the chance to spend time with our extended family, which is always so special. Tina & Keith are a great couple, we were lucky enough to meet them both when we were leaving. They clearly take great pride in their extended home & making sure all who stay really do have the best. A beautiful, comfortable and ideal location to explore the lakes.
We loved this holiday home - it was perfect for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The house is so cosy and comfortable and has everything you could wish for including a gorgeous bath, very comfortable beds and a very well equipped kitchen. It also has a lovely garden overlooked by a sun room from where you can watch many different species of birds. We only had a couple of days here but managed to explore around Windermere and climb the Old Man of Coniston. We would love to come back and can recommend The Coach House to anyone who wants to explore the area and return to home comforts in the evening!

Wonderful magical cottage
Beautiful property and a wonderful place to spend Christmas. The owners have been helpful from the second we booked and left a lovely welcome basket on our arrival. The house is equipped to a high standard and is immaculate. Great space outdoors for the children to play and lovely walks close by. The house was as lovely as it looks in the photos. Absolutely immaculate. A very convenient location handy for the lakes and other sights in the north west but absolutely quiet. The garden was a highlight. Tina was very helpful.

Lovely, relaxing, and well cared for cottage and garden in a fantastic Lake District location. A wonderful break away, within easy distance of so many amazing places to visit, from picturesque historic towns to scenic hilltops and lakesides. Definitely recommend The Coach House.

We stayed for 3 nights and we were extremely pleased with the Coach House, everything and more than you could ever need is supplied in this tastefully decorated house. The beds and bedding are top quality, the kitchen is very well equipped and the garden is a tranquil retreat with beautiful shrubs flowers and an abundance of birds and butterflies. You are 30 mins from windamere and 20 mins to the coast, if peace and quiet with dark dark night skies is what you are looking for then look no further. ...5 stars from us for this awesome house....we will be back next year for a longer stay, thank you Tina

Stunning Cosy Cottage
Beautiful and well-equipped cottage with a very high standard of finish. It was the ideal place to relax after a day out and about - a perfect walkers retreat.
