Un sueño hecho realidad
Sin duda, Karpaha Sands ha sido uno de los mejores establecimientos (a nivel calidad-precio) en los que he estado. Desde el momento en que entras, tu percepción del tiempo cambia y te envuelve en una tranquilidad máxima. La decoración y arquitectura, los espacios, la naturaleza con sus palmeras inmensas y el mar, todo es una maravilla!!! Las tiendas son un lujo, dormir con las "ventanas" abiertas escuchando el sonido del mar y los animales. Una auténtica pasada de experiencia! La decoración de las tiendas desprende un aire colonial, como si estuvieses en medio de la selva con todas las comodidades. Para quien busque relax y tranquilidad, este es el sitio. Nada alrededor, con suerte estarás solo tu como nos pasó a nosotros un par de días... El entorno no existe, solamente el hotel y los pescadores de la zona. Nosotros decidimos no movernos para disfrutar al máximo de las instalaciones y la playa solo para nosotros dos. El equipo, a pesar de su timidez debido al idioma, una maravilla. Atentos, serviciales, sonrientes. qué decir de las comidas! Desde el alucinante desayuno incluido en el precio hasta el lunch y la cena. Buenísimos productos y maravillosa elaboración! Solamente un detalle, sería interesante que desde el establecimiento se promoviesen iniciativas ecológicas de cara a gestionar residuos en el entorno, dado que la playa (no en el espacio que corresponde al hotel) está llena de plásticos :( Volveríamos con los ojos cerrados, pero esta vez una semana entera!!!

Das Hotel ist so konzipiert, dass man das Gefühl hat alleine zu sein. Es hat sehr viel Platz, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Angebot seitens Speisen und Getränke ist sehr gut. Vor allem sehr kinderfreundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A hidden gem in the unexplored east coast side of Sri Lanka. The property offers some of the best coastlines in Sri Lanka. The villas are very artfully crafted for a nominal price. The butler service has been absolutely fantastic and Ash has been always smiling and warm. The food is delicious and has a ton of vegetarian and vegan options. Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful resort! Best place I have discovered in Sri Lanka...golden sands and no crowds. After staying here, I would not consider going to the south of Sri Lanka. Truly a world class experience, very well decorated and the tent like accommodations are the best!

Endless beach
Beautiful place off the beaten track. Nice and clean despite the sand trying to get in. Friendly and serviceminded staff treating all guests with humor and big smiles. Best coffee on the east coast - probably thanks to the italian GM!

Nature and service, at its best!
An utterly unique experience. Amazing location and hotel. The staff are amazing and the management team are superb at making sure you feel special. We had the best week at Karpaha sands on this stunning beach amongst the most incredible nature. We will be back for sure and cant recommend the hotel enough.

Der Weg ohne Fahrer (waren mit eigenem Tuktuk) war etwas schwierig aufgrund der vielen Pfützen aber die Unterkunft selber war ausnahmslos die beste, die wir auf unser drei wöchigen Reise hatten. Sehr freundliches personal, alles sauber.. wirklich nichts zu beanstanden.

Beautiful property on a gorgeous stretch of beach. Secluded and quiet, with private bungalows and an excellent restaurant. Beautiful private outdoor showers and big soaker bathtubs. The beds are firm but otherwise the bungalows are spacious and well equipped.

Stunning hotel. Delightful staff
Stunning hotel. Loved the architecture and style, very contemporary and in harmony with the elements. My garden tented room was very comfy and the private garden / beach super secluded . The outdoor cascade shower was amongst luxuriant plants that got showered as I did! Excellent recycling of water! Staff was delightful. A special thanks to the wonderful Kapil at reception who got out of his way to help me get a train. Food was delicious. Pool was so amazing and the beach pretty wild. Very windy as it is the rainy season . I did get some rain, a full day of it. But got two days of sun / overcast. I still do not regret coming out of season. It was an excellent stay.

Belle vue de la chambre sur la plage cependant beaucoup trop de chiens errants qui dérangent, ils vous suivent ou s'installent sur votre terrasse donc impossible de manger tranquillement en extérieur. La piscine n'etait pas bien nettoyée d'où l'odeur malodorante et les oiseaux (corneilles et pigeons) qui se baignent dedans. Sinon le personnel etait sympathique

Magical and Fabulous Location
This is probably one of the most beautiful locations I have been to in Sri Lanka and I have been to so many. Absolutely stunning and magical. The rooms are super comfortable. And we just loved it. We really did not want to leave.

Beautiful beachside property with individual bungalows with all of the amenities! Soft sand and crystal clear water. Beautiful pool, great restaurant, and amazing staff. No tv in the room but there is a room near the restaurant with tv, computers, books, and children’s play area. Rooms are very spacious with a separate seating area and a lovely outdoor shower in addition to an indoor bathtub.

Bestes Hotel in Sri Lanka
Dieses Hotel ist wohl das beste, indem wir jemals gewohnt haben. Man hat den Pool fast den ganzen Tag für sich alleine,den Strand in jedem Fall. Soetwas ist fast nicht mehr auf dieser Welt zu finden. Wer schonmal in tulum (mx) war wird diese Unterkunft absolut schätzen zu wissen. Der Meerblick morgens aus seinem Zimmer ist atemberaubend, ebenso der Sonnenaufgang. Das Essen ist fantastisch. Bei dieser Unterkunft bekommt man sehr viel für sein Geld. Somit einfach buchen.

Tolle Lage direkt an einem leeren Traumstrand. Sehr schöne und geschmackvolle Gestaltung der gesamten Anlage.. Sehr schön in die Natur eingebettet und großzügige Abstände zwischen den Zelt-Bungalows. Neben dem Baden im Meer ein sehr schöner Salzwasserpool. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit eigenen Backwaren. Gratis Trinkwasser den gesamten Tag über.

Amazin place with unbelievable views and privacy! You really have to experience this place yourself! The only place for improvment would in my opinion be the service. While the service is currently friendly and well-intentioned, it is by no means polished. This will likely get better as the staff members get more experience

Karpaha Sands is well hidden, feels exclusive, and is full of the most sincere and accommodating staff, led by manager Noel. We were surprised by the beauty, comfort, and hospitality of this resort. Don't be surprised by the to (2km) dirt road or the lack of liquor license (currently) - the secret Sandy Beach and the juice bar far makes up for any inconveniences. You'll never want to leave.

Stayed 4 nights early March. Beautiful, peaceful setting. We had one of the beachfront rooms which was perfect. Everything exceptionally clean. It is very remote and our driver struggled to find it. It is completely on its own, no other hotels nearby. There is a develpment of hotels about 20 minutes by tuk tuk if you wanted to go somewhere else to eat but no restaurants near Karpaha. However the restaurant at Karpaha was very good and we were happy to eat there. The only negative was that the hotel does not have an alcohol licence alhough we knew this and bought wine in Kandy to take with us. But because of this the bar area is lacking atmosphere and under used - it would have been nice to sit in the bar and have a drink before dinner. Apart from this small criticism, everything was perfect.

Great staff and spa treatments. It’d greatly improve the guest experience if the strayed dogs and kitten are sent to an animal shelter (or at least not at the pool deck watching guests having lunch).

Amazing beach hotel
Karpaha sands is everything you would want for a relaxing beach holiday. The service, quality of the facilities and rooms, food and people are all exceptional. The bonus is that the beach is quiet and stunning with the added interest of friendly fishermen, sea eagles and beautiful sunrises. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in for a while and highly recommended.

Beautiful location and attentive staff. Would return in a heartbeat. Not close to shops or anything else at all and far from the main road, but we were looking for a place to relax and swim and rest and all that is plentifully supplied.

traumhafter Ort, um ein paar Tage zu entspannen
bei unserem Aufenthalt war das Hotel erst 3 Monate in Betrieb. Wir wohnten in einem sehr geräumigen und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Familienbungalow mit 2 getrennten Schlafbereiche mit jeweils 2 großen Badezimmern und 2 Außenduschen. Dazwischen befand sich ein großzügiger Wohnbereich. Tgl Zimmerservice, kostenloses Wasser wurde tgl gebracht. Der große Garten mit Liegen und Sitzkissen war durch Hecken und Mauern optisch von der Anlage getrennt, so dass wir uns dort ganz ungestört aufhalten konnten. Großer Pool, Liegen sind dort momentan noch nicht für alle Gäste vorhanden, man kann aber in Hängematten oder Liegen am Strand ausweichen. Was uns besonders gefallen hat: keine weitere Anlage weit und breit, nur weiter, endloser Sandstrand und einheimische Fischer, die tgl riesige Netze mit zum Teil spektakulären Fängen an Land ziehen.
