El paraíso
Hotel impresionante, muy cerca del paraíso. Prácticamente insertado en la selva, cuenta con unas instalaciones de una gran extensión y belleza (dos piscinas, una de ellas al lado del mar, un restaurante para el desayuno con unas vistas increíbles, un bar al lado del mar, playa privada...). Las habitaciones grandes, limpias, la nuestra con balcón enfrente del mar. El personal amable, servicial, siempre dispuestos a que te encuentres como en casa. Ubicación en el centro de la costa oeste que es donde se encuentran la mayoría de poblaciones y playas. El único inconveniente es que necesitas medio de transporte, nosotros alquilamos una moto, que también te gestionan en el hotel. También cuenta con centro de masajes, donde podrás disfrutar del masaje estilo tailandés proporcionado por profesionales.

Ubicación fantástica
Muy buen hotel, situado en un sitio espectacular. Ideal para el que le guste relajarse y estar tranquilo, en contacto con la naturaleza. El staff del hotel muy servicial y amable, y la cocina del Chef Ben sencillamente magnifica. Como punto a mejorar, decir que existen servicios del hotel (el SPA y las excursiones) que se tiene que pagar en efectivo (no dejan cargarlas a la habitación / pagarlas con tarjeta) y en el hotel no te cambian divisas por moneda local. Ante lo cuál paseo al pueblo a buscar una casa de cambio de moneda. Quitando esto último, es un sitio muy recomendable.

Hotellet och framförallt vårt rum var verkligen superfint och hade allt man kunde önska! Hotellet ligger på ett enskilt och lugnt läge men en kort taxiresa bort fanns mysiga barer och restauranger för den som önskar detta. Enda nackdelen med stället var att det fanns en del sandflugor nere vid stranden.

Wonderful holiday
We have really enjoyed our 2 week stay at Sylvan. Rooms were good and spacious and kept very clean. Only criticism is that the beds were very hard. We really appreciated free water bottles every day and clean beach towels. Staff were very friendly and happy to help. We loved the effortless way of getting around the resort with the buggies. Great pools to choose from and a lovely beach. One tip for the hotel is that maybe they should provide recycling for plastics bottles, cans etc. food was good as well although on the expensive side. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in town though and easy and cheap to get there by taxi. Can also recommend Lonely Beach. All in all we had a great holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel and location - beautiful! Great sunsets as well.

Fint hotell men varning för aggressiva makaker
Jättefint hotell som ligger högt med fin utsikt. Jättetrevlig personal och bra service med linbana och golfbilar. Tyvärr söker sig makakerna som håller till i träden bredvid till balkongerna just när man är på dom och försöker ta sig in på rummet. De är aggressiva och fräser och visar tänder när man försöker jaga bort dom. Barnen var livrädda och vi vågade inte va på balkongen så det var onödigt med bra utsikt. Hade vi vetat detta hade vi inte bokar detta hotell. Makakerna kom varje dag, i stora grupper och hotellet verkar inte bry sig. De kom även till poolen en dag så en barnfamilj fick fly. En annan sak som tar udden av vistelsen är att det sitter lappar med varning för böter överallt på hotellet. Man måste ta taxi in till stan, det går inte att gå. Och mat och dryck på restaurangen är överprisad.

Hotellin alue; oma ranta, kaksi poolia, spa yms ovat huikean hienossa sademetsä- ympäristössä. Palvelu on perus hyvää ja kaikki toimii. Aamiainen hyvä ja laadukas. Oikeastaan ainoa miinus kokonaisuudessa on hotellin ravintolat. Ruoka on keskinkertaista ja ei tarjoa mitään yllätyksiä.

Große Hotelanlage am Hang mit herrlichem Ausblick. Verschiedenen Gebäude, sehr engebettet in die Natur. Toller Pool am Strand, ruhiger Pool oberhalb. Kein run auf die Liegen, alles wirkt relaxed. Scooter/Roller empfehlenswert. Sonst die Taxis, die fahren oft. Würde wieder hier Urlaub machen.

Beautiful property with a venicular Railway from our room to the beach. Stunning views & nice private beach. The only downside is the hotel is isolated at a top of the hill.You can't walk to the local village as it's on a steep hill with no pavement. You can walk along the beach when the tide is out which is a novelty. Overall a lovely hotel.

Huge resort. You can walk everywhere, but it’s very hilly. Some of the paths are incredibly steep, and you have to be very careful in case it’s slippy, so definitely not suitable for everyone. The hotel has its own funicular, with 4 stops connecting the beach with the rooms and restaurant right at the top. This is a great help, but it’s SO slow and only holds 6 people. Because it was off-season, one of the restaurants was closed for refurbishment, and the gym was closed for a couple of days whilst it was being decorated. When the gym was open, it was excellent. All new equipment, and more than the average hotel gym. There isn’t really a beach - the hotel has created a kind of fake beach instead. It looks ok, but it’s hard underfoot. The food in the restaurant was excellent, both at breakfast and in the evening. Because it was so quiet, there was a smaller, more limited buffet on my first couple of mornings. My room was a bit dated, but very clean and well maintained. It was nice to have a bath to relax in. Bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent. Not nearly enough power sockets, and the walls and ceiling were very thin. It’s a 20-25 minute walk to both Kai Bae and Lonely Beach. They have a shuttle service three times a day to Kai Bae, but it’s only one way! And the last one is at 4pm. Generally, I was very impressed, and felt I got great value for money. The staff were mostly lovely. The upkeep of such a big place is no mean feat.

Room seemed dated but in good shape. Stuffy noses both of us every night. Maybe dusty or Aircon needed a cleaning. Not nearly enough outlets for this day and age. Great staff throughout hotel. Great views, very laid back. Not impressed with the breakfast buffet and the Coffee machine coffee was really lousy. Spa was just ok. Beach bar cocktails were excellent. We liked our stay but plenty of room for improvement. Probably stay again but in the renovated section only. Really hope to see improvements in the areas We mentioned.

The resort is attractive with many things for families to do. The views are beautiful and the waters are clear and enjoyable to swim inside. The breakfast buffet is average and has a varied menu. The restaurant for lunch and dinner has a limited menu with some items not always being available. The resort is about a 30 minute drive from the ferry dock and when returning to the mainland on Sunday, leave early or late. We sat 2 hours in the sun and the car almost overheated because of traffic

Bel hôtel mais bien loin du standing d’un 4 étoiles. La réception ne répond pas aux nombreux mails envoyés pour question et réservation. Avons été obligés de faire appeler un ami thaïlandais pour leur expliquer qu’il serait bon de répondre aux mails (4 au total restés sans réponses). L’état des serviettes pas dignes d’un 4 étoiles, n’ont pas retrouvé notre réservation, ni notre paiement pour un taxi pour l’aéroport et pour finir, nous n’avons pas eu de facture de la part de l’hôtel pour notre séjour… Bel hôtel, mais beaucoup d’effort a faire sur la relation client, surtout pour un 4 étoiles… La réception de l’hôtel ne s’est même pas excusée et n’a même pas eu la politesse d’un geste commercial (même d’un simple cocktail pour s’excuser).

Very steepy, family rooms didn't have any sound insulation, lots of kids sound from many rooms, if you looking for a quiet holiday, this isn't the place. The view is amazing though. Service could be improved.

Here is the problem. We are a family of 4 so the “family room” is waaaay up on the hill. You cannot walk to the pool or beach. The pool is really nice and on the beach and it overlooks many empty rooms that we would have loved. If you are a family of 4 looking for convenience this is not your place. There is also nothing walking distance so your only restaurant option is the restaurant at the Sylvan. The staff was very nice, breakfast was good, no problems there. We moved to 15 Palms for half the price and LOVED everything about it! No free breakfast but for $50 a night and ordering from their amazing restaurant was not a problem

Viel Licht - viel Schatten
Bei unserer Anreise war unsere Villa trotz überschrittener Check-in-Zeit nicht parat. Wir wurden mit einem Begrüssungsdrink vertröstet. Es gab noch diverse Servicepannen, bis wir unser Zimmer endlich hatten. Das gewünschte Gespräch mit dem Manager fand nicht statt. Das Hotel beliess es bei einem „we are sorry“ der Rezeption. Die Anlage selbst ist sehr gut. Enormer Freizeitwert und etwas abseits des Trubels gelegen. Das Frühstück/Essen ist gemessen an dem, was wir in drei Wochen Thailand hatten, eher als gut zu bewerten. Unser Fazit ist trotz des wunderschönen Hotels mit freundlichem Personal angesichts des missratenen Check-Ins und des doch eher sehr hohen Preises durchwachsen.

Hotel mit guter Aussicht
Das Hotel ist schon älter, und wirbt mit 2 verschiedenen Namen. Die Aussicht auf das Meer ist toll. Da muss man bei vielen Zimmern lange Wege in Kauf nehmen. Die Seilbahn hatte manchmal Aussetzer sodass man steile Wege gehen musste. Das gute Frühstück gibt es am höchsten Punkt. Man wird auch oft mit alten Kleinbussen gefahren die einiges an Abgasen in die Luft pusten. Zimmer sind sehr geräumig. Aufpassen muss man bei frei umherlaufenden Affen die einem Essbares auch aus den Zimmern stehlen.
