The is a very old and dated hotel that is in dire need of a renovation. The rooms were small by Crown Plaza standards and the morning breakfast offered very limited choices for those who prefer Western food. There were quite a few Western guests at the hotel during our stay, so they have a clientele that is pretty international.
Even the quality of the Japanese breakfast was far from impressive. We have been traveling for three weeks in Hokkaido and have sampled many Japanese breakfasts. This was one of those at the lower end of the scale.
There is a car park for those who drive, but it is not free. Nearby, there is a market with quite a variety of restaurants, especially in the evening when more open up. Unfortunately, none of the restaurants offer English menus so you just have to go with the photos and hope for the best. We fared quite well with the picture pointing and enjoyed three meals there.
