This is the most amazing hotel and our favorite getaway! The rooms are gorgeous and the restaurant is amazing for dinner, brunch and everything in between.

We've stayed at the Charmant several times, and it never disappoints. From the professionalism and friendliness of the staff to the quality of the food and the excellent condition of the rooms, the Charmant is the only place we choose to stay in LaCrosse. An added benefit is the proximity to the riverside park, which is a beautiful green space. On this trip, the valet parking (looking at you, Jackson) and the food service in the bar area were particular standouts.

Loved everything about the Charmant.
Our stay was absolutely lovely. The room was comfortable and the bed was divine. Having a coffee shop and restaurant in house was convenient. The location by the river added to the visual appeal. The welcome chocolates were a nice touch.

Helpful
Front desk explained during the frigid weather water pipes broke causing water to leak affecting some rooms and the elevator. They were able to accommodate by keeping guests away from the areas that were being cleaned

The Best Hotel Experience
Our stay at the Charmant was nothing short of wonderful. It was a magical, perfect experience for my now fiancé and I! I booked our stay to celebrate our anniversary and the service/experience we received was more than we ever expected. Every single staff member was kind and personable which made our stay feel even more meaningful. We felt comfortable and welcomed. The complimentary chocolates upon arrival, free coffee tokens, and gifted one free drink each for our anniversary dinner made our celebrated moment together all the more perfect! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We will most certainly return and recommend! Also, Noah & Harley from the Charmant are fantastic! And every staff interacted with from 12/13-12/14 deserve to be recognized!

I would have given a 5 star rating but coffee was not provided in the room. Very comfortable rooms and spacious bathroom. Had a pleasing experience at the bar as well.

The Charmant was an absolute delight to stay this the past weekend. From the moment you walk you were greeted by kindness and it never stopped. We had drinks by the bar while listening to live music and had dinner after a busy day. One of the best stays I have had in a long time! I will defiantly be back!

We came for a nice to see a comedian we love at Viterbo. The hotel was a perfect spot, amazing old building, lively and beautiful bar areas, nice room! We’d love to come back in summer to enjoy the rooftop and more of the outdoors.

Not worth it. The best rooms probably are.
The room was expected to be beautiful with the exposed brick, however we had a huge white washed beam that ran the ceiling and most of the wall. It ruined the aesthetic and the whole mood of being there for a birthday. The restaurant was mixed quality. The drinks were quite bad, the appetizer and soup were decent, and the entree was outstanding. This mix in quality made the experience somewhat blah. Coffee in the morning was outrageously overpriced with the “free coffee” tokens good for a hot coffee or $1 off others. Getting a free coffee or $3-5 off would be reasonable. We spent $12 after discounts on two iced coffees which were very average. It was a neat experience overall and the place had a ton of character, but so much fell flat for us.
