Return Trip was as great as the first stay!
We have stayed in this unit multiple times and love it. The Spa Villas are the best value in the whole desert!

Relaxing and Quiet
Stayed here several times. Easy check in, easy to get a hold of if you need anything or help which we did they took care of fast. A nice late check out for extra $. Property is nicely located, reasonably priced. We gave it a 4 star on cleanliness because they need to replace a few worn out things, chipped and cracked dishes and bowls, throw rug needs replacing or cleaning in living area. Needs a little TLC. nothing terrible. It is a nice place to just chill & relax.

nice stay with a few comments
Please do not post my review! We enjoyed our 2nd year staying in this property and will book it again next year. A few comments: 1) Would be nice to have decaf coffee and tea. 2) The unit needs a thorough dusting (ex. the legs on the desk were filthy). 3) As there is only one closet, it would be nice to not have debris in the closet (several door knobs and framed mirror on the floor; DVD player and old wall phone on upper shelf). 4) I lost several hours of the last afternoon at the resort as I ran the dishwasher and water flooded out onto the floor. I mopped up the floor and bailed out the water, then called Calif. Vacation Villas who responded fairly quickly; I waited for maintenance (he came fairly quickly and was very courteous). I then waited while he re-ran the cycle and diagnosed the problem (he said failed seal).

Nice place to stay
We have stayed in several of the tennis villas at La Quinta Resort. This unit is nice easy access nicely located. Its a nice size with a kitchen two bathrooms sitting room and separate bedroom and two decks, so you have room to spread out. The bed was comfortable it really has everything you need, It just needs a little cleaning up, not that its bad or anything. The front door which is your first impression is worn it needs paint or stain, the door mat needs to be replaced. Same goes with the decks doors they are worn need paint the outdoor lantern needs fixing hanging by one screw. These are minor things that need fixing. The management group is great we wanted to stay an extra day and it was available they make it super easy. Check in was easy check out was easy no waiting. We would love to stay again La Quinta Resort is beautiful and this unit is very comfortable.

No full disclosure
we have stayed at the resort for many years and this rental did not disclose that the dates we were scheduled to come - the resort had been completely bought out for a conference and all restaurants and tennis facilities were closed to the public. This should have been disclosed. We reached out to the property manager when we got here about this issue and received NO response. unacceptable and compensation for this should be addressed

Our company is not affiliated with La Quinta Resort and we are not knowledgable about when hotel conferences, events and/or meetings will occur. The property is a privately owned villa at the back of La Quinta Resort and guests staying with us don't have access to the hotel tennis courts and/or hotel gym as a result of staying with us nor can we guarantee the availability of any dining facility. This is clearly stated in the VRBO listing. Over 20 restaurants and multiple tennis facilities other than La Quinta Resort are located within close proximity to the unit.

Clean, quiet and lovely
Property was as advertised. Clean and very quiet. We loved the message board in the kitchen allowing easy contact with the host. And we really appreciated the reasonably priced early check in / late check out options. If you love LaQ Resort, give this spot a try. We’ll be back!

Labor Day 2022
We absolutely love staying at La Quinta. The only thing we didn't prep for was the Keurig. The original photos showed a coffee maker. And the glass top on the dining table was a bit scary as it moved (not recommended for kids). Overall the villa was lovely.

no closet
No closet to hang your dress. Closet is for the owner and cleaning supply. Management said don't come again because we complained.

Unfortunately, hosting Istvan was not a good experience for our staff. We have hosted this guest before and that was a bad experience as well but we thought we would give it another try and it was the same result. This guest consistently complains about the stay but yet asks for early check-ins, late check-outs, and continues to book with us even though they complain the whole time. More importantly, this guest has been rude to multiple people on our staff team and we will not put up with disrespect. We would not host Istvan again.

Great get away
Almost perfect. Would have liked a table WITH umbrella, or a shade curtain, on the balcony and better chairs on the other balcony(TOO LOW)

Great stay, minor maintenance issues
We had a great stay at this property and loved the location! The only issue we had was with the guest bathroom (living room) shower, which only had one temperature - scalding hot. We reached out to management on Friday night (after check-in) and they were able to send maintenance over the next day to investigate. Unfortunately, we were informed that part of the shower would have to be replaced and due to COVID, the part was out of stock. Management then offered to send over a plumber to see if they could replace the part anyway. At this time, since it was already 3pm on Saturday and our last full day in La Quinta, we declined the plumber and asked management if they would be able to accommodate a late check-out instead. Management offered a complimentary late check-out of 12pm on Sunday (regular check-out is at 11am). We accepted this offer, although we were hoping for a later check-out time to "make it right". Even though this issue wasn't a major inconvenience, we expected better compensation since we were unable to use one of the two showers that were advertised as working and ended up having to share one shower between the three of us. However, we're glad that management was easy to communicate with and did their best to fix the maintenance issue at hand. All in all, we would definitely stay at this property again- as long as both showers are fully working next time! :)

Worn out Villa with LOUD pool filter
We've been coming to the La Quinta Resort for about 30 years. This was one of our least favorite experiences. The owners/managers don't seem to be in touch with this property. The pool filter for the Villa quadrant is about 20 feet away from the outdoor balcony - beautiful view of the mountains but unbelievably loud and shrill pool filter (that clearly needs replacement or servicing - it was the loudest, grinding filter we heard from any of the pools we passed going back and forth to the main area at the resort). Another downside to this particular unit is parking below - while it's a stand-alone unit with no adjoining units, there is a open parking area BENEATH the unit that holds about 5 parking spaces - cars were loud starting up and taking off randomly, one at about 5:00 a.m. - maybe a golfer heading out for an early tee time? There was an odd smell when we entered the Villa (like overheated plastic), the tile floor in the kitchen is totally shot around the refrigerator - tile floors in the bathrooms seemed dirty with some nasty looking smudges - have those floors even been cleaned in the past 3 months?? The windows to the patios clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time - very streaked and stained, making for a dingy view out to what otherwise would be a nice view. One lightbulb was completely missing from the mountainside balcony and a bamboo shade hanging to create privacy from the neighboring villa was so thrashed, it's beyond description. In general, this unit seems to be a victim of neglect and no oversight from the owners or management company. Would not stay in this unit again when visiting the resort.

Great location. Poor management communication.
Great location. Property is more shopworn than pictured. Lumpy crummy pull out couch and chair that should be on their way to the dump. Worst aspect was landlord communication. Had to get tough when I did not get the door codes until the very last minute. Likely would not have gotten them if I hadn’t. Still have not gotten damage deposit back.

We found the unit itself very bright, spacious, and well located. I am a design professional so I am quite picky. The interior needs refreshing. It seemed clean enough and the linens were clean. The kitchen is not well stocked; only a few scattered dishes and glassware. Needs to be re -outfitted to fit into VRBO standards. The toilet in the master bedroom bath ran the whole time and stopped up once....time to replace the toilets! There is minimal water pressure coming out of the second shower on the kitchen side. The light switches are missing their dimmers. Light bulbs were out in several places. The front porch was very littered and dirty (needs sweeping). We had to deal with trying to get a private internet module and the Ca. Vacation rental lady was helpful in procuring this for us. Please buy a decent wine opener and proper wine glasses. You can buy them at Homegoods at a discount or Target. While the patio is lovely, the two chaise lounges are so low we could not get out of them....We are over 65. Two nice lounge chairs and an ottoman would be perfect. There were only four hangers in the closet. You need to have a dresser with drawers instead of that huge armoire that used to house a TV but now is worthless and blocks a window. On the large patio there is a bamboo screen that is askew and needs repair or replacement. We would have loved a map in the unit showing where we were because we kept getting lost trying to walk to the spa etc.....The unit was quiet and the pools nearby were nice. There was a large dog in the pool and spa most of the time which might not be the best thing for other travelers. The dog was from an adjoining unit. We did have to call the hotel and ask for them to clean the pool after the first day because there were over 20 people using it and it was very small along with the hot tub. If we go to La Quinta casitas again, we would only go during the week.

Beautiful but needs some repair/updates
A lovely design and setting. Description was accurate. The place needs a little TLC - broken lounge chairs on the master deck are unusable, missing light switch plates, Shower grout is mildewing, old wardrobe + dresser doors jammed. But these are small issues ... We had a great time and the unit was priced fairly.

Really enjoyed myself. Nice unit maybe needs a touch of tlc. Door jam on patio door needs a fix as does master bath window and the fabric on the outdoor furniture. But aside from that a really homey nice property with a Spanish influence. I would stay at this nice and pleasant property all over again!
