Excellent experience, will be back!
Working with the property owner was great as we were having odd check-in times. The cottage was beautiful and clean, plenty of rooms for another family. The lake was so nice, thinking about renting again this summer to make better use of it. Thank you! We will definitely be back!

Great place to unwind
The place was clean and well maintained. Great lake front property on an all sport lake. Nice relaxing place to get away from it all. Nice places to eat within 10 miles. Will definitely consider a return visit.

Great Vacation
This is our second time staying at this house. It is a beautiful house, very clean, and stocked with just about anything you need. Lynn is very nice and very helpful in answering any questions you may have. The lake is really nice and overall pretty quite. We have really enjoyed both of our vacations here and will definitely be back again!!

A Wonderful Place to Stay
This house is always clean and well maintained. It's in a great location, whether your preference is for day trips to Shipshewana or just hanging out on the deck. Lynn and Trenia are attentive and friendly, and the most gracious hosts. Five stars all the way!

Love this place
The couple who rents this is very nice, the home is beautiful cant wait to go back. Hoping in the warmer days. Beds are not comfy enough for all of us but planty of bed space, next tume a foam top will help i can bring. We really loved staying here so much. This is a great place for gatherings and children and friends. Very peaceful. Thank you

Wonderful place to take family for the holidays and enjoy the beautiful view of the calm lake and watching the beautiful birds. Living room was wonderful to gather and plenty of beds and bathrooms are very nice. Loved everything about this place. And our hosts were right there if we needed anything. Lovey clean lake house
Moms weekend which are fabulous. The house is extremely clean and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful lake views. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and their was plenty of bath towels. Owner was very responsive and check in and out was seamless. Lovely place and would highly recommended for a shopping weekend or a family vacation.

Terrific Hosts!
We returned to Lolo's Lakeside Retreat for the second time this summer. Lynn and Trina were again, the quintessential hosts! The house and beautifully landscaped yard were in pristine order when we arrived. The weather was terrific for outdoor dining every meal every day! We even caught a few bass! We look forward to our next stay at Lolo's--thanks again, Lynn and Trina!

Great location for the area
This is a great location if you're seeking to shop or visit the nearby Amish communities. Love having the lake to look out on in the evening, and especially enjoy the large deck, which makes entertaining and visiting so much fun.

Oliver Lake Life is so relaxing
Large older spacious home ready for family and friends to enjoy the lake. Very peaceful area and wonderful hosts that live behind the house in a newer home. Our son rented a pontoon boat and it was fun for all. Water is shallow for quite a ways out so it is good for children. We are returning next year which will be our 5th year. Great casual living on Oliver Lake.

Relaxing Get-A-Way
Our stay was for two nights with 6 adults. We enjoyed time on the deck and the spacious living room. We mostly used the home for sleeping as we were out and about during the day in Shipshewana. Having the one shower was not an issue for us as we all got up at different times, just takes some planning. We found Coody Brown's Lakeside Grill the first evening for dinner. There is a Dollar General not far to stock up on snacks.

Great property with great hosts!
Everything was as we expected and then some from the VRBO listing from amenities to supplies on hand. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bedding and towels are of great quality. The thoughtful hosts were available for questions and helpful information. We will definitely be back to spend time at 'our lake'! Thanks so much!

Annual Weekend with long time friends
We loved our weekend at the property. The 9 of us had plenty of room at the tables in the dining area to eat together and play games. There was ample very comfortable seating in the living room for all of us as well. The beds were very comfortable, and I had the best night's sleep in a long time. There was plenty of hot water for all of us while getting ready each morning. The hostess has thought of so much to make our stay more comfortable and safe. She even listed instructions for where to shelter in case of bad weather and provided flashlights and a radio. The forecast was such that we did place those by the door we would use to get to the cellar--just in case. It was too windy and chilly to sit on the deck, but we would have loved to do that as well. Thanks for a very nice place for our weekend.

Great Fishing
Everything was great! Did an impromptu fishing trip with a few friends and the view was great, the water was clear, the home was very clean and comfortable and the fishing was great! It was just what we needed to get away and relax.

Loved this house! It's perfect for a rural Indiana getaway and a beautiful view of the lake. Great accommodations for a large group, lots of beds and space to be together in the dining and family room. Wonderful deck area as well!

The Peaceful Water Cottage
We’ve been fishing on Oliver Lake for years and were excited to find this property to rent so we could experience lake life for a week. It was so peaceful, and the property is clean, well stocked all around, and the owners were great hosts. Hope to stay again sometime!

Quite place at the lake
The house is very clean but old Lots of little things in the bathroom that you might have forgotten, things like hairspray and shaving cream. The area is very secluded And nowhere to go if you are looking for entertainment and food . The water in the lake is clean but very shallow. You will walk and walk and walk and it will be still up to your waste line. It is good for kids and people who does not like to swim. You may bring some DVDs to watch movies in the evening. There are some DVDs but they are old in production. There are books to read if you are a reader. Otherwise it is quite boring and nothing to do in the evening. There are books and games for children. We enjoyed our stay in the house. The owners are very nice and hard working to maintain excellent landscaping. The water that is used in the house comes from a well and has a strong smell of sulfur. You may bring your own drinking water as we did to make coffee or tea and drink. Kids may not like the smell of water to wash faces and brush teeth. Otherwise the place is very nice.

Excellent Memories Made
We rented this property to take my 75 year old mother back to where she grew up as a child. My family which includes my parter, my brother, sister in law and two adult nephews and one of their fiancé had a great time! My Mom got to share what a special place Oliver Lake is! The house and grounds were awesome! Very clean and the property managers were very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to visit again.

Fun at Oliver Lake
This is our family's third year staying at this property and we are signed up for again for a week next summer. Spacious comfortable home with everything you need for the family. Now that the kids are older we rented a pontoon boat for the week and it was wonderful to explore the whole lake. The grandkids totally enjoyed themselves.

We had a wonderful experience at LoLo’s Lakeside Retreat. It was the cleanest and most well stocked rental we have ever stayed in. The shallow water off the dock is perfect for young kids. The Bowen’s are communicative and friendly. Highly recommend!

Great Cottage
The cottage slept 11 easily and we were able to entertain more than this in the living room, etc. We have stayed at many cottages in the past, but this is by far the best. The owners live across the street and were always available and friendly. I hate to leave a good review because we don't want everyone staying here and taking up the entire summer in the future, but my family had a great time. The beach is sandy and shallow. There is nothing we didn't like about this cabin and definitely be back in the future.

Perfect get-away
My husband and I scheduled a last minute 3 night weekend retreat for our anniversary. This lake cottage was wonderful! It has everything you need and more. We spent our mornings having coffee on the deck, afternoons sunning and evenings watching the boats go by and the lights on the lake. We took an afternoon trip to Shipshewana, only a few miles away. We are already planning another trip this fall, but will rent a pontoon for our next visit. The owners of this cottage live near-by and were so nice and welcoming. Recommend this cottage !!!

Clean, comfy, pleasant
This is a wonderful property with a stunning lake view, and it's clean clean clean. The attentive owners have thought of everything and prepared the house to make it comfortable for your stay, even stocking extra toiletries that you might have forgotten. Highlights from our stay were spotting Sandhill Cranes and a Great Horned Owl. We didn't see the eagle's nest on nearby Olin Lake, but we'll be back to search for it another time.

Super Clean! Lots of Room! Everything you might need!
We are a group of lady teachers who were looking for a fun relaxing weekend away. Lolo’s Retreat was everything we could have asked for and more. There is plenty of room! The house was exceptionally clean. They had everything labeled, and they have thought of every eventuality. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and pots and pans. There were towels galore. They even have extra folding chairs and a card table. Truly everything we could have wanted. We will be back!

Fantastic in all ways
Lynn & his wife were very accommodating. The home was immaculate and had everything one needed-towels, games,books, toiletries (if one forgot something), a beautiful lake view with a wonderful deck. Plenty of bedrooms. Very cozy and quite inviting. The setting was very peaceful and beautiful.

The best getaway!
This is the cleanest VRBO home we have ever rented! It was just sparkling! Fall days on the deck were perfect and quick drives to Adam's Pub and Shipshewana made for the best long weekend!

Little getaway
We came with our two year old son and another couple who have a 9 and 6 year old. It was absolutely perfect! The house was clean and fully supplied with what you need. The kids loved to walk around the neighborhood. We attempted the lake but it was a little chilly this time of year!! The deck was perfect to sit and relax on, and it was so quiet and peaceful! We would definitely recommend staying here!
