Lo mejor sin duda es la playa que es muy bonita y sus atardeceres. Lo peor el restaurante que es HORRIBLE tanto la comida como el servicio. Las habitaciones y resort en general no están bien mantenidos, le haría falta una buena reforma y lavado de cara.

El hotel tiene una bonita playa y ofrece gafas para hacer snorkel así como piraguas gratis. La playa es privada y bonita y la piscina igual. La pega es que estas aislado de todo. Si quieres descansar y estar tranquilo, es perfecto. A la habitación le falta un poco de mantenimiento (pintura y arreglos). La cama es cómoda, tiene a/a y el wifi no funciona en las villas porque estas tienen el tejado de chapa. En el jardín sí funciona.

Property is nice looking outside but my room is not well maintained. Safe is not working, when opened there are old phones, trash and tv remote control inside. They just give you 1 key and once you go out power is out, even accidental, you have to get somebody to open the door. The staff are courteous and helpful.

Read this til the end. When we arrived the AC was off, which is normal. We arrived at 6pm and turned AC on. It never cooled off. We sweat all night long. The next day when we came back after our all day tour, they had turned our AC off. We asked for a new room after they sent engineering to come check the AC. The next room was better. The last night we moved to a villa that was very cooled off and nice. We only got to stay in a cold room for one night out of three. They also argued with me about giving me a second key card to our room. Because we weren’t given a second key. The only key we had had to stay in a slot for electric to the room. When you pulled it out, the AC turned off. I said I needed a key so we could go to the restaurant and return to our room. He told me I could go to the restaurant and my husband could let me back in. I said no, we wanted to go eat dinner together. Who would let us back in? They followed me to my room and said “where is your husband” and I said he was in the room, the front desk man barged into our room and walked to the bed to argue with my husband about me wanting a second room key. What if he hadn’t been decently clothed? This hotel was a horrible experience.

Nice hotel by a very nice and quiet beach good for swimming. Two pools bungalow style rooms. A bit difficult to get transportation to and from downtown in the evening. The bathroom smelled bad.

We stayed 2 nights because we wanted to have a relaxing break from our otherwise active holidays. It's been great to be able to roll to the beach and pool straight from our room. The room was quite clean, didn't feel very cosy though. We would also appreciate some more drinking water included in our stay. We only got a small half liter bottle per person a day. The staff was friendly, they even chopped a fresh coconut for us right off the tree. For an extra fee we rented a small kayak to go snorkel further from the shore which was nice. If you want to go to town this location is not convenient, you would have to rent a bike or get a cab which is expensive. But if you want to wind down and stay put with a book by the pool this is a suitable place for that.

Cauchemar sur une plage paradisiaque. deception
Cet hôtel est situé sur une plage magnifique même si non-entretenu (déchets dessus et dans la mer). malheureusement, les chambres ont des puces de lits (confirmé par le management après plainte), le personnel ne parle pas anglais, la nourriture est mauvaise et il faut attendre une heure après commande, la plage n'est pas nettoyée, le wifi ne marche que vers le restaurant, pas dans les chambres, ils construisent un nouvel immeuble, les travaux sont donc bruyant, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc,... Grosse déception, accentuée par le magnifique hôtel voisin (plantara) ou nous avons fini par aller manger tous les soirs... A éviter, ce qui est dommage car avec un peu d'effort le lieu serait magnifique.

L’hôtel est très bien avec une très belle vue et une plage privée. Le service au restaurant laisse à désirer. Vous attendez très longtemps et, parfois, les personnes ne sont pas servies en même temps. Une fois, nous voulions prendre un désert, on nous a prévenu qu’il y aurait une heure d’attente. Ignore the bad reviews..people being unrealistic..
good venue for Indonesia small town. lovely pool great beach ( tidal) at the right time. 15 minute drive to town,, Breakfast so so... but not too bad..... those saying the place is terrible have too high of expectation.... no it isn't the Hampton inn or Hyatt or your usual American venue... very quiet and peaceful if not tranquil at night...a good choice for Komodo

Nice snorkeling, lousy service, good beach
Sylvia resort is situated in a nice location. You can go for a nice hike to the hills behind the hotel or swim over the the opposite small island which has beautiful snorkeling area. Beach side is relaxing and well maintained. Swimming pool water was not cleanest, a bit greasy and full of chlorine. Breakfasts are simple and they are far from being gourmet experience. Count with the fact that it is about getting some morning calories. What I would like to highlight is the overall service attitude which can improve. You go for breakfast and you see like 15 tables. 6 of them are used by people. 7 of them have trash and leftovers from other people´s breakfast and 2, exposed to the direct sun are free. You look around and you see staff just hanging around, doing nothing and when you tell one of those guys to clean a table, your request goes from first to another one, to another one and finally 5th guy takes greasy cloth and clean the table. Selection of fruit is basic but you will not eat it because it is full of flies, hundreds of flies. They also say they can rent a motorbike for you. I never succeeded as there was always some excuse. Luckily, staff is helpful and for reasonable amount of money they will rent you their motorbike. Room is clean which is most important to me. If I would ever go to Labuan Bajo again, Sylvia would be my choice probably. And I will hoping to see improvement in services. Knowing Indonesia standard, for this price, you get what you paid for.

It really is as bad as most reviews say!
I was too optimistic when I booked this hotel, even though I had read the reviews. I thought I was not that easily dissatisfied with a hotel. Well, I was wrong. The only people who will be happy at this hotel are the ones that - do not eat here (most things are out of stock), - know already what they want to visit on Flores (no information available on activities), - don’t mind a hot room (airco’s are too small to cool the room), - enjoy a beach full of plastic and other trash. Oh and don’t forget to bring your own soap, because they don’t replenish these, not even after you ask them to.

ホテルへ直接メールで空港送迎を頼んだが、一向に返事なし。予約サイトに連絡。予約サイトからホテルへ確認してくれて、時間も指定されたので安心して空港に着いたが、一向に迎えに来ない。呼び込みタクシーの強烈な誘いに閉口しながら、バリ島在住の友人に連絡して、ホテルに電話をしてもらいましたが、迎えに行ったとのこと。15分程度だから、待っていたら1時間たっても来ない。迎えに来ないよと、最初から言っていた呼び込みタクシーでホテルへ行った。フロントで文句をいうが、謝る気配さえない。サービスは最低です。スタッフは英語通じない。ビーチフロントでコストパフォーマンスは良いが、最初のつまづきで、気分は最悪でした。言葉があまり通じないせいか、呼び込みタクシーの強引な誘いにおれ、コモドドラゴンツアーを3倍の値段で買ってしまいました。最低最悪のフローレス島になりました。スムースに最初の送迎さえあれば、こんな事にはならなかったはず。二度と行きません。フローレス、コモド島、ガイド、皆ボッタクリ。

Sad. Place has such potential. Staff don’t appear to care. Management/ownership must be absentee. Restaurant help take forever; food once ordered takes forever! Desert sometimes comes before meal. It’s crazy and sadly, it was not busy. Restaurant out of more menu items than they had. Lawns and Gardens unkempt. Trash between buildings. Not near enough lounges. Some villas are a long distance from the main areas and dining. Staff lie around on guest lounges when there is so much to do. First room a/c didn’t work. We were moved. Best thing is bed and pillows were very comfy. Huge expanse of beachfront property but not kept clean. Overall, just really couldn’t believe what the owners were letting deteriorate.

Ok for the price but don't expect much
After reading the reviews and seeing the pictures it looked like it was a pretty nice place and was recommended as a nice mid-range hotel. The lobby was nice and the pool was ok but there were no pool chairs at all. The front desk was a bit of a cluster every time we talked to them and check in was not smooth. The rooms are run down in a way I would not have imagined based on what I read for reviews. They are dingy - need to be painted as the walls were gross, the bathrooms were gross, but the bed was comfortable. It looks like a place that has been neglected for a while and in need of renovation. The one nice thing they did is they gave us 2 bottles of water and fresh towels each day.

Beautiful place, far away location
Check in was too slow and me and my friends (3 rooms) got separated in different areas. We arrived with 2 other guests, and, although I wss the first to star the check in I was the last to receive the keys and end it up receiving only one key, so we had to put everything in one room until the other rooms were ready. Also, there was only 1 employee to help with the luggage, and we were four guests. I had to carry my luggage through stairs, which was really unconfortable. One other issue was a party right outside our room, which was noisy and smelled of food everywhere. We waked up that day at 6 am and we had an early flight the next day, so it was awful to have to wait to be able to sleep.

Le camere sono confortevoli ma necessitano, soprattutto nel bagno di alcuni lavori di manutenzione, in tutta la camera solo 2 prese elettriche e nessuna in bagno. La spiaggia è molto bella.. peccato che tutte le mattine raccoglievamo 2 sacchi di immondizia (prevalentemente bottiglie di plastica) portate dal mare. Nice place, but expectations were higher
We arrived to the hotel at four in the afternoon but our room was still not ready, we had to wait for half an hour. They gave us a welcome drink which was basically (not fresh) orange juice. The room was spacious and clean, but there were ants in the bathroom during the night. We had asked for a double bed but they had no rooms with that available so we were given a twin room. At least the single beds were big (120cm?). From all the massages described on internet only the Balinese was offered at reception. The price was 150.000 IDR, and only cash was accepted since it is a person they call to come from the village (the hotel has no massage facilities as we thought when seeing it on the webpage). This was impossible for us as there was no way to take cash in the hotel and they did not have any atm nearby; the closest was in the city center. The hotel charges 25.000 IDR per person per way to the city center. The swiming pool was dirty, not like in the pictures. For dinner we had to wait for more than half an hour for the food and they only brought for one of us, we had to wait for another 15 min until they brought the food for the other person, but the worst thing is that it was cold. The fresh orange juice was highly diluted in water and not because of the ice. Airport transport at certain times with shuttle bus, not whenever we wanted.

Sítio espetacular para passar uns dias
O hotel está longe da cidade mas numa localização privilegiada junto ao mar onde é possível ver um espetacular por do sol. O kayak é gratis (apesar de só ter visto um) e é possível fazer uma visita às ilhas desertas nas proximidades. Comida boa, staff super simpático e transporte muito conveniente para o aeroporto.

This hotel is in a quiet location .
We booked the beach front rooms which were great , clean and quiet. The staff were friendly as was the resort manager who made our stay wonderful.

1) shuttle bus services is a hidden cost (IDR25,000 per person per one way), and the most annoying part is no scheduled return time and has to call driver to check availability; 2) hotel quite deteriorated but beds are comfy; 3) on arrival one staff seems very eager to sell tours to us... after turning him down, the same day later when we asked for hair dryer he said "sorry all borrowed" when further questioned he said only 4 hair dryers available for guests! Makes no sense to me!

Pleasant stay, with daytrip to Rinca
We took 2 rooms for 3 nights. Staff was friendly but the property needs better up keep. Food choice rather limited and since there is no nearby alternatives, this can be an issue to some.We walked to next door hotel for a change in dinner one night
