I am surprised that there is a complaint regarding the breakfast and lack of towels must be an isolated incident. We regret that your staff at that time did not provide a more efficient and courteous service as they are capable of providing having regard to some of the other guests are posting. We apologise that you had a bad experience and will take measures to ensure that you or other guests do not have such an experience again.

We will respond to this complaint in point form as it is in fact a serious indictment on our property which has never been rated so badly as demonstrated by all previous reviews. This guest arrived at the hotel at 8.55 pm Trinidad time but 6.55 Louisiana time. Note Time Zone difference. The Manager came down and recieved the guests and it was raining heavily, as to asking why they were late, she merely asked if their flight was late just for conversation. Two towels were provided to them and if they were dirty at that time, she could have refused them. They were clean sanitized towels. They parked their car next to the building that housed their room and she told them it was at the top of the stairs. We are a 12 room facility so it's very difficult to get lost. We do not have bugs in our hotel we have contracted with RENTOKIL an international pest control company since inception in 2000. What we do have are insects because we are located in a tropical rain forest. What the manager saw was a dead beetle in the bathroom and a little sand in the bathroom which we apologise for. The bathroom light was working, what was missing was the shade on the light otherwise she would not have been able to use the bathroom. All linen is changed when guests vacate rooms, so that there is no possibility of dirty linens. Regarding bites etc, these were the results of not accepting the advice of the Manager who told them that bug repellant was available if they were going to the beach as sand flies were a major problem in the rainy season. We have a mixture of Citrolella and baby oil which is very effective, and we offer this to all of our guests free of charge. The woman refused, saying that they had their own bug repelant. I am the owner and recieved a message from Expedia later that night when they checked in and called the manager immediately asking her about the situation and to resolve it as soon as possible. I later understood that Expedia had called the manager and asked her to check with the guests early the next morning. This is why she went to them at 6.00 am to resolve whatever problems they had. If the food or breakfast which constituted fresh fruit, tea, coffe, toast, bacon and eggs was of poor quality, I am sure that the man would not have tipped the waitress $15,00 TT or US 2.00 WIFI and Cable TV is free. WIFI is clearly advertised as available in public areas and certain rooms. The room had a high speed internet cable. I have detailed this response because we take our reviews very seriously and would like constructive criticism as it only improves the quality of service we offer. Reviews such as this one is far and few between and they impact our rating, no matter how small. We thank the guests for choosing LCBL and regret any inconvenience they may have suffered. We would apreciate recieving the pictures of the conditions reported.

We are sorry that you were 😞. However it woulf have been nice if you could have been more specific with all of the other services services you experienced. We appreciate reviews reviews as we use criticism to improve on our services. In the case of the room we would have appreciated if you could have been specific with what was actually wrong with the room itself. We thank you for your comments

This customer tried to sleep extra persons in the room and brought food from outside and ate it with 7 people. They became upset when we spoke about it. This review should not be posted

This person tried to sleep extra persons in the room and was in the company of his friend who wrote the last comment. He was part of the persons who brought outside food to our restaurant. This review should not be posted along with the other.

We thank the guests for their objective ratings of our facility. This is in direct opposition to the two following reviews of guests who behaved badly by trying to sleep extra persons and bringing food to the restaurant

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. If you complaint for poor and unprofessional services was related to the payment function we do apologize for the inconvenience. However this type if problem relatling to payment by credit card is related to internet and credit card processing, whereby cards are rejected and payments have to be taken at the time of checking in. It seems that your payment was not able to be processed but the reservation was held intact. On arrival they would have requested payment. If the checkin staff was rude or abusive in any way, we do not condone that type of behavior and will investigate the matter further. We sincerely hope that your stay was enjoyable and look forward to seeing you again to make up for any deficiency in services.

We do agree that the room is a bit small and we are in the process of upgrading the facilities. However the restaurant is open until 10.00 pm.
