This was a HORRIBLE place to stay. We waited over an hour and 30-mins for the person to show up with the key and walk us through the apartment. We missed our dinner reservation which was a celebration.
The apartment had 2 working heaters yet we used 3 bedrooms. There was a light blanket and sheet for the bed. The beds needed blankets! My children and I slept in our coats. In the middle of the night the heater went out. We called, messaged, and text the owner who did not return any of our calls. I called Hotels.com and spoke to them three times. We got disconnected one of the times and had to go over our story yet again. We were charged a deposit nearly 2 times what it was night and a fee or taxes. We stayed in other places in Portugal and did not see those types of fees. Hotels.com said that they review it and get back to us in 5 days. We are on day 2 so, can't wait for day 5! If there is a better business bureau in Portugal I would sure write to them. Children should not go to bed with their coats on!!
