I payed under $700 for 7 nights in this hotel, and in London, this is as good as it gets for that price. The single room is tiny, it does have a private bathroom, but the shower & sink is very small. There's no ironing board, no microwave, no AC. There's a hair dryer, a fridge a hot put with ample coffee and tea supplies daily and a good working heater which is what I need at the time.
There's also no elevator, but if you're young who travel light, you should be fine.
I did have a decent night sleep every night, probably because I'm very tired after all day of walking around London.
On the plus side, the heart of High Street Kensington is about 20 minutes walk, with plenty of dining and shopping. And there's also a couple of Tube stations close by, so you can get around town easily.
Bottom line, this a 2 star no frills barebone hotel, for under $80/night, this is as good as it gets.
