Need fixingand improvement in the rooms
Very funny hotel. Close to people that wants to be near Notting Hill, but there are two small houses joined and extremely normal facilities. Lift for one to two people máximum. The rooms are very smal and needing to be improved the draws, the carpets and to find out where to place the toilett as the one they actually have are not small, the next. You cannot close the door with you inside because they are approximately 0,5 square meters to fit the toilet, the washbasin and the shower... then you need to be opening and closing doors to go from the lift to your room. Breakfast is OK and the staff the best they have. Very friendly and always trying to help. My opinión it is a máximum 3 stars hotel.

Lovely place to stay. Great ambience, comfortable bed, quiet location. The staff were all amazing. For our 5 day stay, I had a relaxing breakfast downstairs, and then requested my wife's breakfast in our room. On the 4th day of our stay, I forgot to order her breakfast before I returned to our room. Shortly after I got there, the phone rang. It was reception asking if my wife would like her breakfast sent up. It doesn't get better than that!

Lovely hotel. Very quiet, safe and room was spacious. Staff was kind and helpful. Continental breakfast was great and bed was super comfortable. We were on the ground floor and loved our beautifully decorated room that had a large bathroom with antique bathtub. Beautiful garden views outside our window. Place was exactly as pictured and described. Furthermore - the neighborhood is wonderful to explore and walk. Highly recommend. Thank you!

Great location small room
Great service and perfect location. We had a ground floor room - it was much smaller than any of the photos I’d seen and the bathroom was so tiny there wasn’t even space to get changed in there. Paid £269 for one night and expected a bit more from the photos on the website. Continental breakfast was good value for two people.

We offer 6 different room categories of rooms and your reservation was for the smallest entry level room. When you choose to stay with us again please consider choosing a slightly more expensive room as some of them are more than two and a half times bigger than the room you stayed in. All the best

Fantastic hotel
Absolutely fantastic stay at the portobello hotel. Room was quiet and comfortable with lots of space. Bed was really comfortable. Shower pressure was perfect. Towels & bathrobes soft and clean. A perfect stay.

Lovely B&B
Lovely hotel that is more of a bed and breakfast. In a delightful quiet neighborhood. Great location if you don’t mind being a little further from the downtown action but very close to restaurants, bars and portobello market. Also walking distance to the tube and Kensington gardens. Service was great with the only exception of feeling like we were in the way when we arrived because our rooms weren’t ready and we needed to change. But after we actually checked in everything was smooth.

What an experience staying at this storied and and beautiful boutique hotel in the Notting Hill area of London! The rooms were comfortable, quiet and uniquely decorated. Staff were helpful and fun to talk to. It’s also just a short walk to some lovely wine bars and the Portobello Market. Loved it and will definitely be back!

Beautiful boutique hotel with wonderful employees
We had a lovely four-night stay at the Portobello Hotel. All of the employees were incredibly friendly, the location was great, and we very much enjoyed the breakfast and coffee in the mornings. The breakfast room only has a couple of tables though, so if you want to ensure a spot during a busy weekend morning it's best to reserve one in advance. Our room (#46) was beautiful, but the ceiling was sloped which made it feel a bit cramped for my tall parter. We would happily stay at the hotel again, albeit we would ask in advance for a different room next time.

Diana and all of the staff were fantastic. So attentive. The location is absolutely perfect. Our room looked out to a private park. Being two blocks away from the busyness of Portobello Rd is perfect - the second you’re on the street where the hotel is, you’re surrounded by quiet and a peaceful, safe neighborhood. Tons of great restaurants, shopping and all transit is literally down the street, but you can’t hear a thing. Gorgeous neighborhood and the hotel itself is so comfy and beautiful.

Quirky property ideal for walking to Portobello Market, Michelin 3☆ Core restaurant and Notting Hill. Delightful staff, who really made you feel special and went out of their way to help. Very comfortable bed, excellent shower, lovely bath products. Didnt have breakfast or a drink so did not take advantage of VIP benefits. No TV but didn't want one!

Ein toller Service: Jeden Abend bekamen wir heißen Kakao in einer Thermosflasche auf das Zimmer gestellt! Das Portobello Hotel ist einzigartig aber auch speziell. Es gibt nur sehr wenige Frühstückstische und wir mussten deshalb öfter warten. Man kann aber am Abend für eine bestimmte Uhrzeit reservieren. Bei unserer Buchung wurde uns zuerst mitgeteilt, dass wie die Zimmer während unseres Aufenthalts wechseln müssten. Die zweite Nachricht kurz vor Abflug war, dass sie gerade umbauen. Wir hatten dann doch Glück und bekamen ein Zimmer für den ganzen Aufenthalt. Wenn man dieses alte englische Hotel zu schätzen weiß und keinen Perfektionismus erwartet ist man hier ganz wunderbar aufgehoben.

Lovely quirky hotel
Really lovely quirky hotel very near Portobello Road - great for all the restaurants etc in the area. We had an attic room that was perfect for us - really quiet, cool (it was a very hot day) and discreet. Will definitely be staying here again.

I flew into London for only 24 hours. I never been and wanted to see it before heading to Scotland and then Portugal. We landed around 10am and taxied to the hotel. It was too early to check in but they let us drop our bags off so we could explore. I just got engaged and they had a bottle of prosecco waiting for us in the room! This hotel is charming. The exterior is gorgeous. The interior was lovely. I felt like I was staying in someone's home, almost. The room was surprisingly very big. I loved the bed! The shower is a bit small but it wasn't a big deal. This hotel is only a few blocks from the tube. There is an "honest bar" where you take a drink and write down what you took so they can charge it to your room. Very cute lounge area. We had a lovely view from our window. We had to catch a train the next morning and they arranged a car service to pick us up. The hotel took great care of us. Next time I am in London I will definitely stay here again.

Lovely little haven with real character tucked away in a gorgeous street walkable to lots of great places, was the perfect location. Super friendly & helpful staff. Chocolates in our room were a delicious treat upon arrival!

Great Stay!
Great Service, with very friendly staff. Breakfast was served on time as had to be in room due to covid, and was delicious! Hotel is a great location for NottingHill shops/markets and restaurants. Highly Recommend!

A great, classic London building with fabulous character and location for people who don't like crowds and prefer intimate small places to stay at The staff is fabulous and welcoming. Will come back for sure.
