Poor
I travel for work so naturally stay in hotels. I have also stayed in some guest houses, so my openion is that this property is closer to an average guest house but without a human touch. Below are some but not all of the issues No remote, TV had the visible cables coming and going No bedside charging points One doble socket for charging, one was tempramental. Mattress too soft, I prefer medium or hard Overall, not very comfortable. I have added few pictures . Positive: Free parking included

Cold shower water. Left the towels on the floor to be replaced and found the same ones in the wardrobe . I got itchy from the bed.

Tired and poor breakfast
Room was ok. Breakfast was very poor. Another guest sent the toast back as it had mould on. Just after we were also served toast with mould. They obviously did not through away the whole loaf that was past its sell by date. I reported this the next morning before we sat down for breakfast. He apologised and offered me a part refund for the breakfast , which I accepted. What he did not do is check the kitchen did not repeat me being served mouldy toast that morning. The coffee was also instant (no filter coffee). Not what I would describe as an "elegant, boutique hotel" as it claimed outside. At £210 + £30 for a double, even in Wimbledon fortnight should include a non-mouldy breakfast and real coffee.

Good little hotel for an overnight visit to London. Room was spacious and clean, comfortable bed (bathroom a bit more cramped, but good shower). Parking available, and currently outside the ULEZ, then used tube and buses to get around.

Did not give poor review but was disappointed first hotel via Hotels.com which was unmanned arrived late afternoon no answer when rang bell rang nigh phone and was remotely let in and instructed how to get key, never saw anyone during stay got up went to get breakfast 7.45 again not a soul about if detail was on website at least I would’ve been prepared, room fine parking good few cars on but in morning just mine?

Arrived late and very tired after a 12 hour shift. Room looked clean but basic. Pulled back bed sheets to check and also checked pillows. All looked okay. Was woken at 2am by some kind of whining sound that went off about every 2 mins for about an hour. Then became aware of something in the bed that turned out to be a bed bug. After this i decided to leave the hotel. I was booked and paid for 2 nights.

The English Breakfast - cereal, juice, hot beverage, toast, 2 eggs, bacon, 2 sausages, beans - was very good value at £10 per day. The hotel is within walking distance (for a 67 year old) to the Wimbledon Tube station, The Broadway (shopping district), Wimbledon Common and the High Street in Wimbledon Village. The major drawback was BEDBUGS - I killed 11 of them over 4 days, some of them leaving blood stains on the bedding. I left notes for the maid about the situation but she didn't pass them on to management. When I told management of the problem just before checking out he was upset that he hadn't been told about the situation by the maid and refunded me £40. The room needed minor repairs to some of the fixtures - i.e. door handle on wardrobe missing a screw, sink faucet in bathroom not secure. The provision of a TV with cable, kettle, iron (but no ironing board), and hair dryer were appreciated. The faucet in the shower was very sensitive so adjusting temperature of the water was difficult - plus the shower itself was so small that it was hard to turn around without changing the setting on the faucet setting you at risk of cold or scalding water. Hot water took a minute or two to arrive first thing in the morning but it was very hot once it arrived. The heating in the room did not have a separate control so you had to rely on whatever setting the rest of the building was at. I would rent again if I was guaranteed that the bedbug problem had been taken of.

Its good
Its a good place to stay for a night or 2, but i wouldn't stay longer. Given that check in was betweeen a certain time, i would have expected someone to greet us when we arrived instead of phoning to get access and being told where our key was. Toilets are very small in the room and the door has holes, so no privacy to go to the loo! On a busy road, so windows closed, but you still hear the traffic through it! All in all, a nice hotel, but i probably wouldnt go back.

Short but lovely stay
Simple single room, decorated to a good standard, very clean with sufficient amenities for my stay, nice comfy bed and after a long day, which started at 5.00 it was much needed at 23.30. Was post 20.00 before I could check-in, but a simple phonecall and I was guided through how to enter my room. Couldn't complain at all, even the smell of breakfast was inviting.

Exactly what it says on the tin
Just what we needed, simple, comfortable stay. Very friendly staff. Shower was a bit hit and miss with the heat of the water but it was fine after a bit. Nothing to complain about!

It was ok. No proper check in. Very clean bed linen and towels. Bathroom needs upgrading and it needs a new decent door on the bathroom as you can see through it!!! Only one pillow each which is poor, uncomfortable mattress too.

Not the best
The owner has been nice and as my relative's flight was very late gave us the opportunity to have the keys in advance.The hotel is 10 minn walking from Wimbledon station so it was ok. The worst part was the cleaness of the room, the floor was very dirty, it seemed like they forgot to clean it.The towels has not been changed in the second day and my relatives were not happy for the comfort of the bed and the curtain that let in too much light in the room in the early morning.

Skin deep beauty
Superficially it is a nice looking building with attractively docirated room. However, the beauty is only skin deep and there is a notable lack of deep cleaning and maintenance.

Wasn’t the room I had booked. Door to room wasn’t a fire proof door, lots of gaps and door lock insecure. TV had no cabling to aerial so of no use. Wiring in bathroom (waste disposal) unsafe. Sheets and towels clean but black midges found in bed?

Dusty surfaces
The hotel is conveniently located to the station (10 min walk). The room was dusty, including the mirrors and side table. Bedding was clean and comfortable bed though.

convenient location and parking; check-in was remote, by calling but worked well; windows are somewhat sound-proofed, but road-facing rooms still have a fair bit of traffic noise (but then you are coming to London, and the price is reasonable).
