If everything had worked, this would have been a lovely property. But: Communication from the host was terrible. They didn't answer questions before we arrived, they wanted us to phone them to get the entry codes but gave us the wrong phone number, then they gave us the wrong entry codes. When we told them about serious problems, they simply stopped responding to messages. They didn't reply to Vrbo staff either. Then, two days later, they contacted us and couldn't understand why we were unhappy.We'd made a special point of booking a property with a pool but the pool had almost no water, and the pump wasn’t working, so it was unusable.The main downstairs living area was dirty. We had a baby with us, and we had to vacuum the floor to make it safe, as the carpet had bits of food, stones from fruit, and other dangerous small objects on it. There was loud building work at the adjoining property. The host claimed no knowledge of this - but it turned out that the builders were working for them. They had not warned us about the builders in advance. And the builders were living next-door, keeping us awake on our first night while they chatted in the back garden past midnight.There was a bath advertised, but its pipes were blocked and only one tap worked; the freezer had loose food in the trays; parts of the oven were filthy; etc. This is a lovely house but it was as if the owners hadn’t prepared for guests! (And no guide about rubbish collection, leaving the property, local info etc
