Perfect location
Perfect location and nicely decorated room. We highly recommend this cottage. In our opinion it is suitable for 2 persons and not a family of 4 as we where. But the location is perfect close to the Beach and lots of nice restaurants closeby

Hi Lars, thanks for the review. I try to describe the space as best I can but I never want to exclude people from staying if they decide to go forward with 4 people, as that provides the lowest price possible with 4 splitting the bill, or for a small family looking for the best deal for the location.

Sweet bungalow

Affordable! A perfect location
Why stay in a hotel when you can stay in this affordable, clean, perfect location with the comforts of a kitchen, laundry, wifi, and parking at no extra cost. My family of 4 stayed here for 7 days. We used it as our central base to explore LA. We didn’t actually enjoy the beach while we were there because it was too cool, but wow it’s perfectly located to walk to. We enjoy quiet so I found Saturday night a bit loud because you hear everything but the weekdays are quiet. I would definitely return.

Lovely getaway
Highly recommend a stay at this cottage. It's cute and clean. The owner is very responsive. We had some issues with the heat while we were there (chilly Nov nights!) and she was very quick to bring over space heaters to make sure we were comfortable. You can't beat the location - lots of fun places to eat nearby (make sure you try Baja Cantina!) and close to the beach. You won't be disappointed!

Cute cottage
Had a wonderful stay in this very cute cottage in Venice! Kitchen was well stocked and beds were really comfy. We went for a boat ride on the canal and had a great time looking at all of the unique houses. The beach is one block away. We wished we had more time here. Thank you Carol!

charming place!
We enjoyed this cute, clean little efficiency apartment. Great detailed instructions left for us tenants! It was great to meet nice tenants (from Germany) renting the bigger house. It’s only one full room (besides kitchen/bathroom). Quick walk to the beach! The claw foot tub is a little shaky when standing in it for shower and the lamp needs to be replaced (no switch, makeshift tape switch). I would definitely stay there again! Thank you!!!!

Location,location, location!!!!!
If you are lucky enough to snag this adorable cottage you will not be disappointed! The location couldn’t be better. It’s only 1 block up from Venice Beach and the famous boardwalk where you can watch people in the skateboard park, grab a drink at The Venice Ale House or Whaler patio, check out Muscle beach or watch the sunset from the stretches of white sand beaches. This cottage is small but all we needed just the two of us. It’s attached to a larger cottage that faces the canals! What a great way to wake up, grab a coffee and go for a morning stroll along the canals. One of the best features of this cottage is it comes with 2 bikes to use. For us this was the best way to get around. It’s a very bike friendly place with bike lanes everywhere. You MUST take a cruise down to Santa Monica and check out the Pier. There is a bike path that runs the whole way along the beach. It’s spectacular! The kitchen was fully stocked, the bed was comfy and there was a cute little shared outdoor patio area. Thank you so much for an awesome stay! We loved it here and will be back in the future.

Great location
Stayed for 1 week in September. A perfect base for Venice Beach and Santa Monica. Made great use of the bikes to get around and as far as Manhattan Beach. Apartment was compact but was as expected. Everything provided for a comfortable stay. Only downside was as it was a shared outdoor terrace with the larger property (the large property overlooks the canals while the smaller property which we stayed overlooked the driveway). Although this downside is only down to personal preference. I would definitely recommend the property.

Very nice and reasonably priced.
This cottage worked well for my wife and son and I. We enjoyed the accessibility to the beach, and we took advantage of the bikes. The cottage was priced well below a local motel room with the added conveniences of appliances and modern laundry facilities.

Lovely, quiet, as pictured
We had a terrific time at the cottage. It's a cozy space - I traveled with my 16-yo. Room enough for the two of us, but would have been tight for more. We didn't use the kitchen but it seemed workable and had everything one would need. Location was great. Close to the boardwalk and plenty of good eating.

great location walk to venice beach
This is an ideal getaway, with all the amenities that one would need for a little vacation in California. It was nice to have the bikes to go for a ride on the boardwalk, just a couple blocks away. It was surprisingly quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We walked to dinner, rode to Starbucks and was able to park the car right next to the house.

Adorable beach cottage
My husband and I spent 5 days here in February. The cottage is bright, clean, comfortable, and in a wonderful location close to beautiful and vibrant Venice beach! We loved walking along the quiet canals, and biking the Strand with the bikes provided. There are so many great restaurants in the neighborhood, plus markets to stock the kitchen if you don't want to eat out every day. Having the washer/dryer was really convenient, too. We would definitely book this cottage again!

Quaint and convenient!
Loved our stay. Easy access to the canal for a nice walk, or a boat ride if the water is high enough. Venice Beach is a short easy walk, and loved that there is parking, and even laundry facilities although we didn't use it. Very comfortable place to stay, even though small, it has everything you need. I would love to return sometime!

Venice Beach Perfection
This little cottage was absolute perfection for our 7 night stay. The cottage has everything you could possibly ask for; full kitchen, full bath, mini dining table, comfy bed, large daybed that we used as a couch, laundry....it really has everything. Our favourite part was the use of the cruiser bikes, though. They were so great to have. We would ride to Santa Monica Pier (15 minute pedal from the front door), lock up the bikes at the pier and then use the overhead walkway to cross the PCH to go wander around the shopping district in Santa Monica. It was heaven. The only time we really used our car rental was to go do a grocery shop at an actual supermarket and that was only a 5-10 minute drive. Otherwise everything else you would want is just steps outside the cottage door (okay, maybe not steps...but literally only a few blocks). Carol was very helpful upon our arrival and it was so appreciated. We will absolutely be booking again next year!

Beautiful Venice Weekend
We are already planning our return visit! The charming cottage was as pictured and in walking distance of everything. Only a 10 minute, no freeway drive from the offsite LAX auto rental location. Our host's instructions and recommendations for area restaurants and attractions were spot on. Walked to the craziness of the Venice boardwalk and Muscle beach; but enjoyed the quieter scene of the Venice canals, St James beach and Washington Boulevard. Santa Monica was a 6 minute drive. Fabulous stay.

Perfect getaway...
My wife and i were looking for a getaway trip to celebrate our 29th anniversary. This was perfect, close to everything and the perfect size for the two of us. My only regret was that we ran out of time and didn't get to ride the bikes down the beach or take the canoe out in the canals. Maybe next time.

Nice little cottage by the beach
This was our first expirience with VRBO and I must say it was not our last one. The discription of the lokation and the house was perfekt. All was clean and well maintaind. We had some very nice days, where we biked along the coastline to Santa Monika and had the oppertunity to see the Rubber Duck Race and the when it floats its a boat regatta on the Venice Canels during the 4th of July celebrations. All in all it was very nice. The possibilty with bikes and boats at the cottage leave a lot of oppertunities fot exersice. I only can rekomand this place. If we will have vacations in LA IT is highly likely that we try to rent this cottage again.

Great Location!!
Great place to stay. It is near the beautiful beach with great access to the canals/beach. There are pathways to walk along the canals and pathways dedicated for walkers and bikes along the beach for miles. We rode our bikes to Santa Monica Pier numerous occasions. The place was very clean with all the extras (bikes, boats, Wifi, cable, phone, beach chairs/towels, umbrella, etc..). The only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to congestion on homes/parked cars in the area. The smaller cottage faces the back where most of the cars are while the larger cottage faces the canal away from the cars. I guess with all the pluses in the area everyone wants to be there. We would love to return again.

Perfect beach rental!
This little condo was perfect for the two of us and would have fit a couple of kids if we had them with us. It was clean, modern and close to EVERYTHING. The bikes that came with the rental were invaluable as we used and enjoyed them everyday! We also appreciated the washer and dryer. I would for sure stay here again.

A great place to stay and enjoy the area
Our family really enjoyed our stay. It was a great place to have a few days getting over our flight from New Zealand. We enjoyed using the boats and biking down to Santa Monica on the bikes. we found the place clean and tidy and would recommend. Carol got back to all my emails and questions really quickly.

This is a sweet little cottage very close to Venice boardwalk and beach.
I stayed 3 nights here with my Girlfriend and my 2 sons who are 21 and 16 and there was enough space for all of us. The Boardwalk and beach is VERY close my car was parked at the cottage almost the whole time we were there because everything is within walking distance and plus your not stuck in traffic. The 2 cruiser bicycles that are included are also sweet my Girlfriend and myself rode them to Santa Monica while my sons used their skateboards a very beautiful ride along the beach.We also used the row boat and canoe that are also included to paddle around the Venice Canals which was very beautiful also. Everything was great about this place from reserving it to checking in.... Carol was very quick to respond and all the information she gave was bang on. There are good places to eat also that are walking distances or you can cook inside the cottage because everything is there to do so. I would definitely stay here again (I think I would get the Big House behind the cottage) and would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the Venice Life. thanks Carol...... Cute and convenient place to stay
Nice little get-a-way. Good location on a quiet street. Great restaurants in the area and a short drive (by LA standards) to some great attractions. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed.

Clean cottage in a great location.
This is a awesome little cottage to stay in while on vacation. It is a very easy to walk to the beach. Having Venice canal access is great. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The owner is very responsive to any questions or concerns. Due to the close proximity of neighbors, it is necessary to keep noise level down, so not a good option for parties or loud music. I would definitely recommend this VRBO and I hope to stay here again when I visit in the future.

Great week!
The cottage was perfect for two people. The bikes aren't in the best shape, but we had fun biking the boardwalk. Beautiful walking along the canals. It was nice to be able to walk to dinner every night. We loved the restaurant Islands. They have great burgers. It is worth driving up to Santa Monica and Malibu. It was a beautiful drive. We also enjoyed going down to Hermosa Beach, renting bikes, and riding from Hermosa to Manhatten Beach. That was our favorite stretch of beaches. The cottage was clean. There's not a lot of dishes/glasses/pans. Overall, we would definitely recommend this cottage.

Fantastic location!
Three of us stayed comfortably for an entire week. We did have a bit of 'front house' envy but throughly enjoyed our stay in the coach house. Staying on the Canals is a must if you are planning a trip to the area.

Perfect location for exploring!
We loved staying at Carol's little cottage! The Cottage itself is quite cozy and perfect for a couple of travelers looking to explore the area. The canals, beach and even Starbucks are just a short walk away! Carol is also a wonderful host. She looked after the details and made our stay very enjoyable. Property is as described. Wonderful decor!! Owner can be reached easily and responds to any questions/issues promptly. Did not use the kayaks as the canals had little water in them during our stay. Kitchen supplies are fine for 2 or so. Parking spot is great-right next to cottage entrance! Felt very safe and would definitely rent again! Thank you!!

Cute, clean cottage very close to beach
We had a fabulous time staying at this Venice property! Such a great location close to the Venice boardwalk. Very clean little place with everything we needed for a comfortable vacation. Beach chairs, umbrella, bikes, towels, etc all there for us to use. The canals didn't really have any water in them to speak of so we didn't float around on them but that certainly isn't under the control of the property owner. Carol was easy to work with and actually saved my dates for me even though I forgot to send her the deposit on time. She called me and asked if I was still planning to come. I paid the deposit immediately and was so grateful for that phone call. When we didn't have the right combination for the bike lock while we were there, she answered the phone and gave us alternate combinations and it worked. A+ experience. Thank you!!

Convenient to beach, Boardwalk, great restaurants
Great location with parking. Three block walk to beach for long beach run/walks/ surfing and amazing sunsets. Close to Boardwalk, great restaurants and easy trip to LA museums, Hollywood studios, and nightclubs. Very comfortable studio with everything you need in kitchen and also beach chairs/towels/boogie board. Relaxing to walk along remaining canals.

Great beachy cottage, close to everything!
My mom and I had a really nice stay here. The cottage was quite charming, had plenty of space for the both of us. Both the bed and the day bed were quite comfortable. We ate out and didnt use the kitchen much, but the house had everything we needed. The house borders the canal which was a really beautiful walk. Also a couple of blocks from the ocean / venice boardwalk. We also had a car and explored LA, everything we wanted to do seemed to be within about 30 minutes which was fantastic. Would definitely go back.

Perfect little cottage
My girlfriend and I were looking for an extended weekend away to L.A. This bright and sunny cottage had everything we were looking for and more. Priced right, it was a cute little place with parking, a full kitchen, BBQ, bikes and backed right onto the canal. It even has laundry if you need it. Within walking distance to Venice beach and and even Santa Monica. We had no issues booking and received our damage deposit back within days. I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone going to the area.

Fantastic spot in walking distance of everything. Spot was small but everything you need in a beach vacation house and more. Would highly recommend!

Great stay!
My daughter and I enjoyed a couple of wonderful days as this very well-equipped, cute cottage in a great, quiet location just a couple of blocks from Venice Beach. We felt very safe, secure and comfortable. We would definitely return. Thank you!
