Perfect spot to enjoy Lucca
We were here 5 days. Fantastic place, very clean and you can find anything you may need in a house. Comfortable and very well located to enjoy Lucca and all the surrounding towns. The owners are very kind and friendly and care about the visitor at all times. Highly recommended except if you need an elevator.

A lovely property
The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were gracious and very helpful and friendly. Lucca is a wonderful city for a relaxed experience of life in provicial Italy. We loved it -- in every way possible. Very highly recommended!

Beautiful Accommodation & City
Very clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation. Very central for the beautiful city. Paola was very informative and helpful and explained everything to us beautifully. Lucca is a very good base to explore Tuscany, quieter than Florence and Pisa. The train service was excellent and allowed us to explore. We would love to to come back.

Fantastic experience!
Absolutely loved the space which was nicely updated, very comfortable, and centrally located in Lucca. Hosts were responsive, easy to communicate with, welcoming, well organized and professional. The apartment had a binder of useful info in multiple languages to guide you through the process and provide helpful tourist tips of the area. While not an issue for us it should be noted that there are 3 flights of steps to access the space. We loved Lucca and this particular stay was the highlight of our 2wk trip through Italy. The restaurant right next door had fabulous pizza and pasta, and there were a dozen other great restaurants a very short walk away. Very highly recommended!

WOW, just WOW
From the moment we entered the apartment in Lucca, we knew it was something special. It wasn't just the look of the 3rd floor apartment, it was also the cleanliness, tasteful decor and the pride that the owners had on display. The apartment is in an ideal position, close enough to the main part of town, but in a position where we could hear the beautiful birds in Villa Bottini. Vinicio and Paola are one of the most courteous and organised owners we have dealt with. We had the good fortune to meet Leonardo and this mature, well mannered young man is a credit to his parents. Zentral gelegenes, komplett ausgestattetes Apartment. Matratzen vielleicht ein bisschen hart. Ist aber natürlich Geschmackssache. Sehr persönliche Begrüßung. Alles in allem ein Platz zum Wiederkommen.

Just wonderful!
From the moment we arrived until we left our stay was perfect! Paola and Leonardo greeted us and gave us a thorough orientation to the unit - even how to make coffee in the moka! The location is ideal- great restaurants, close to a lovely piazza surrounded by cafés, an easy walk (without luggage) to the train station. Near the botanical garden where they were singing opera one evening. The stay was bellísima!

Städtereise
Der Check-In war super freundlich und flexibel, da sich unsere Anreise durch einen Flugstreik auf 21.30 Uhr verschoben hatte. Die Wohnung ist absolut ruhig und trotzdem zentral. Bäcker und Restaurants in wenigen Metern erreichbar. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist perfekt, Betten/ Matratzen super. Badezimmer mit Dachfenster und dadurch sehr hell, jedoch die Dusche ist etwas eng. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeber für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Incredible, once again!
We have stayed in this apartment for two extended stays,. and that speaks for itself! We love the property, the location, the size, and the lovely owners! It is so nice and spacious and clean! It has everything you would need to cook, and we cooked a lot since I have celiac. They even accommodated our super late arrival due to flight delays. I would and hope to stay here again in the future. It is perfect!

Well equipped and an amazing location close to everything in the historical center. Very clean and Paola was good at giving us enough information given that we knew zero Italian! Would definitely recommend.

Superb-spacious and spotless
This vrbo was beyond our expectations- even better that represented in photos. So many thoughtful ideas make this rental feel like a home. The kitchen is great and there are lots of shops close by if you want to cook. It was very hot weather during our stay but the windows allow a cross draft - the apartment is ideally located to access all sites within the walls and is an easoealj from the train station. (Renters should be aware that there are 3 flights of stairs to enter the apartment.)

Fabulous Apartment
Our family, including two teenage girls, loved staying here. It was lovely to stay inside the wall and the apartment was laid out perfectly for 4 people. We didn’t use the kitchen but the family room and 2 bedrooms were comfortable! Great location, comfortable beds & space for us all when we were there- mostly just slept there. There are steps but it didn’t bother us.

Wonderful Lucca Apartment
This apartment is very spacious and clean. A large living room and kitchen with two bedrooms and a nice big bathroom. There is also air conditioning, which is needed in the summer. The owners were very helpful and easy to work with. The location is excellent with plenty of restaurants and a water fountain close by. We would highly recommend the apartment to others. It is located on the top floor, so if you have mobility issues, it could be challenging. Thank you to Vinicio, Paola and Lorenzo for the wonderful stay.

Spacious, well appointed apartment in a great location!
We were welcomed by Paola and her son who helped answer all of our questions and offered tips on parking and restaurants. They also provided a fabulous notebook with recommendations on everything to see and do in the town. The apartment has everything you might possibly need and is incredibly clean and well cared for. You do have to carry your luggage up three flights of stairs - we should have packed lighter! We parked in free parking just outside the city gate but there is pay parking near the apartment. We paid extra ($7€ per day) to use the air conditioning, critical during a heat wave and being on the third floor, and it worked great. The location is wonderful and is walking distance to sites and restaurants. The wall surrounding Lucca has a fabulous tree lined bike path and the town is very bike friendly. We would highly recommend this charming apartment!

Great access in Lucca
Vinicio, Paola, and Leonardo were all exceptionally welcoming. The apartment is in a great location for getting around in Lucca and in getting out of Lucca. We recommend this spacious, well designed and well set up apartment.

Wonderful apartment in beautiful historic town.
Our stay was a wonderful 2 weeks in Lucca. The family was wonderful and helpful with suggestions. The apartment is perfect for a couple or even a family. Clean, well located, and looked out over a nice garden within the historic walled city. It had everything we needed and we cooked many meals here. Some steps up to the top of the building, but worth it. We would move here if we could!

Agréable appartement au coeur de Lucques
Nous avons passé deux très bonnes semaines (en août 2021) dans ce bel appartement confortable, très propre et très bien équipé. La grande pièce à vivre (salon, cuisine, salle à manger) est particulièrement agréable, même s'il y fait très chaud l'été. L'appartement est en effet sous les toits, mais la climatisation très efficace dans les deux chambres (un peu moins dans le salon) permet de passer des nuits tranquilles et reposantes. La vue des deux chambres sur le parc de la villa Bottini est elle aussi très agréable. La salle d'eau est un peu moins confortable que le reste de l'appartement : d'une part, la cabine de douche est petite, si bien qu'on y est un peu à l'étroit lorsqu'on est grand ou corpulent ; d'autre part, il n'y a pas de fenêtre ouverte sur l'extérieur, ce qui peut être gênant sachant que les toilettes sont dans cette salle d'eau. Enfin, les échanges avec Paola et Vinicio sont très faciles ; l'accueil par Paola et son fils était parfait, et Paola est restée très prévenante tout au long du séjour. C'est donc une location très recommandable !

Für uns perfekt
Die Schlüsselübergabe war sehr nett und unkompliziert. Das Appartement war super ausgestattet, sehr sauber, komfortabel und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Klimaanlage war gold wert und die Küchenausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Lage war für uns ein Traum. Innerhalb der Stadtmauer, trotzdem super ruhig gelegen. Fußläufig alles zu erreichen, die besten Restaurants, Bars und Caffès gleich um die Ecke. Auch ein kostenfreier Parkplatz, ca. 8 Gehminuten entfernt, ist verfügbar. Nachts war es sehr ruhig. All das führte dazu, dass wir schnell in den Italien Lifestyle eintauchen konnten. Lucca ist eine traumhafte Stadt mit traumhafter Lage. Man ist schnell am Meer (wir empfehlen den kostenlosen Strand Marina di Vecchiano mit Parkplatz direkt davor) aber auch eine Fahrt durch die Berge mit den vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten lohnt sich gleichermaßen. Innerhalb und auf der Stadtmauer gibt es viel schönes zu entdecken. Die Kombination aus dieser tollen Wohnung und der besonders schönen Stadt, hat für uns den perfekten Urlaub ausgemacht. Wir kommen wieder und empfehlen diese Unterkunft sehr gerne weiter.

Exzellente Ausstattung, tolle Lage
Diese Wohnung kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Viel Platz, eine gute Klimaanlage und vor allem eine Küchenausstattung, wie ich sie noch nie in einer Ferienwohnung angetroffen habe. Sehr ausführliche Informationen beim Einzug und alles in einem Ordner zum Nachschauen hinterlegt. Gute Betten und sehr ruhig, da die Schlafzimmer in Richtung Villa Bottini liegen, die nachts geschlossen ist.

Prachtige plaats om te verblijven !
We kijken terug op een zeer geslaagde week in lucca . Het apartement was super goed . Aan alles werd gedacht ; zeep , vaatwasblokjes , olijfolie , ... . Zelden zo een goed uitgerust apartement gezien ! Over de netheid van het apartement kan ik alleen maar superlatieven gebruiken ; alles was super super super proper !!!! Tenslotte willen we een grote merci zeggen tegen de gastheer gastvrouw en zoon ; ze waren super gastvrij en stonden steeds klaar voor onze vragen . We komen zeker terug naar jullie in onze volgende lucca trip ! Bedankt voor alles !!

Soggiornato dal 29 ottobre al 2 novembre 2019. Semplicemente perfetta, ottima posizione e vicinissima a tu bar,ristoranti e minimarket. Pulitissima e giusta per 4 persone, non si soffre il freddo con temperature della casa regolabile e condizionatori con inverter.

My wife and I loved this apartment in Lucca. It was spacious, well appointed, in a great location. Train station was close enough for us to walk with our luggage. Nice views from the bedroom windows. Wish we could have spent more time in this apartment.

Our stay in Lucca
We stayed in Vinicio's apartment for 6 weeks, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment was exactly as it showed on the website. It was in a good location right next to the villa gardens. It was very clean and modern with everything we needed. Especially the fully equipped kitchen. Paola and Leonardo made us feel welcome right from the check in. They provided much information relating to the apartment as well as all the things to see in Lucca. They helped us with information all throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends.

Gorgeous Apartment, Great Location
Our hosts V&P were very accurate in the descriptions and instructions, and welcomed us into their beautiful apartment. The apartment is very well equipped, particularly the kitchen. It was very spacious for my wife and I plus our two children. There is three airconditioners which kept us comfortable during the European heatwave. There are lots of shops and restuarants in walking distance. We very highly recommend going to Piazza dell'Anfiteatro for dinner - about a 10 minute walk from the apartment.

Super séjour
Très bel appartement, bien situé, très bien équipé. Calme, lumineux et spacieux, nous y avons passé un excellent séjour. Tout est sur place, la ville se visite à pied à partir de l'appartement, de nombreux restaurants et commerces sont à proximité. Les propriétaires sont charmants et disponibles. Nous recommandons sans hésitation.

Sehr nette Vermieter, tolle Wohnung mit top Lage, sehr guter Ausstattung und einfach nur zum Wohlfühlen 👍😊 Wir würden bei einem Aufenthalt in Lucca diese Wohnung ohne Nachzudenken wieder mieten. In unmittelbarer Nähe findet man einen sehr guten Bäcker und viele gute Restaurants.

Great location and apartment
We stayed at numerous apartments during our three week stay in Italy and Vinicio and Paolo's place was one of the nicest ones we stayed at - the kitchen was well equipped and apartment location was great. On our check-out date, the Lucca half marathon was going on and all the non-ZTL roads were blocked. It was also pouring outside. Paola and her son came and took us (and all our luggage) to our car that was parked outside of the city walls. We really appreciated all the help they provided. Without their help, we would've been stuck for another four hours before we would be able to leave. Thanks again for your hospitality! Highly recommend this apartment if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Lucca.

Great location and beautiful apartment
We loved the location which is away from all the tourist activity, but in close proximity to it. Also close to an entry/exit gate and 15 minute walk with luggage to train station. Owner was very responsive. Their book was very detailed (in Italian and in English). Very well equipped kitchen although we did not cook during our stay :-) there were many great restaurants and bakery just around the corner which catered to more local residence than tourists which we liked. We would stay here on our next visit to Lucca.

We spend a wonderful week in Lucca
We felt at home It was the first time we visited Lucca, and we loved the city with its charming places, streets and the wall promenade. The apartment of Paola and Vinicio is located inside the walls near Porta Elisa in a quiet street with a nice view from the bedrooms into the Garden of the Bottini Palace. When we arrived Paola and her son Leonardo helped us to rise our baggage to the third floor and gave us many useful explications. The apartment ist large and modern, the kitchen very well equipped and Paola even surprised us with a welcoming gift. Little shops are not so far away in Via Elsa and Santa Croce so that we enjoyed cooking. We filled every day our bottles with water from the Fountains in Via del Fosso as the inhabitants do. We felt at home... In the seven days we stayed in Lucca we did`nt get bored to walk again and again through the charming streets and on the wall promenade of Lucca enjoying the special historic atmosphere of the city. We loved the impressive churchs of San Michele, the Catedrale di San Martino and the Basilica di San Frediano, the Pfanner Palace, the Botanical Garden, the ancient shops in Via Fillungo and the numerous dogs we met all over the city. The time passed too fast... As we had a problem to reach our bus to Pisa airport Vincencio and Paola helped us again. We feel very thankful to them and hope to return some day. Easy to connect with daily life in Lucca & lots of conveniences
We stayed for over a month and the apartment was exceptional for placing us into the daily life of Lucca. The immediate area offered significant conveniences including a bakery just steps away on the corner of Via Elisa (sweets for breakfast or breads for sandwiches), and the numerous restaurants and cafes on via Elisa and in Piazza S. Francesco (grab a coffee, a sweet, a lunch or dinner) when we didn't want to walk more than a block or two. In the larger context, the location was ideal for walking anywhere inside the wall, as well as nearby access to get on top of the wall for a long stroll...as most residents seem to do on Sunday. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen was one of the best equipped I've encountered in a rental. The owners were extremely friendly and responsive throughout our stay. Before we arrived, Vinicio was quick to respond in the reservation process. When we arrived, Paola and Leonardo met us and provided a thorough orientation to the apartment including noting the location of a nearby grocery store and an overview of the somewhat complex city trash pick-up system. We had a few questions in the course of our five week stay and they always responded quickly to our emails. The pictures accurately capture the apartment. It is spacious with lots of windows. Because the unit is on the top floor, you have lots of privacy; but, of course, you must also walk up 3 flights of stairs. We didn't mind the walk up since it helped to justify another pastry or gelato every afternoon. We hope to stay again if it's available we return to Lucca.

Sehr schöne Wohnung in zentraler Lage
Wir waren im Sommer 2018 zu viert für eine Woche in der Wohnung. Sie ist ruhig gelegen und ideal, um die herrliche Stadt Lucca zu erkunden. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und bietet alles, was man braucht. Die Vermieter waren immer zu erreichen und sind sehr hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Bell'appartamento, ben attrezzato e ordinato. Impegnative le scale, ma così ci si mantiene in forma
Bella esperienza, peccato durata solo due giorni. Ci siamo trovati molto bene e sicuramente invidieremo un po', i prossimi viaggiatori che soggiorneranno a Lucca.

Comfortable flat within the walls of Lucca
The flat is on the third story but the owner was very helpful and helped with our luggage. It is very spacious and it has everything one needs while on holiday. I would book this property again as the owners were very flexible.

Top Unterkunft, beste Lage
Die Wohnung war riesig, hell und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es war alles mehr als ausreichend vorhanden, selbst eine Nudelmaschine wurde angefunden. Die Wohnung hatte Geschirrspülmaschine, Waschmaschine und einen Gasherd mit fünf Kochmöglichkeiten. Die Wohnung liegt zentral in Lucca, in einer ruhigen Seitenstrasse. Der Bäcker ist in 1 Minute zu erreichen, die Einkaufsstrasse in 5 Minuten. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, zu unserer Ankunft gab es Kekse und eine Packung Kaffee. Ach so: der Kühlschrank hat 3 Gefrierfächer, genug also für viel leckeres Eis . Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können die Wohnung nur überschwenglich empfehlen.

Beautiful, well appointed apartment close to everything!
We were lucky to stay here for a few days in a quiet location overlooking a lovely garden within the walls of the city. The apartment had everything one would need, and was quite spacious. Vinicio, Paola and Leonardo could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. We would recommend this flat to anyone considering a stay in Lucca or the environs, as it is so close by train to Pisa, Cinque Terre and Florence.

Schöne Wohnung in Lucca
Wir haben die Wohnung in Lucca 3 Tage bzw. 2 Nächte gemietet. Von Anfang an haben wir uns heimelig gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist neu und liebevoll renoviert und eingerichtet worden. Uns haben besonders der offene Wohnbereich mit der Küche und der Ausblick auf Villa Orsini von den Schlafzimmern gefallen. Die Wohnung liegt in der Altstadt von Lucca und eignet sich hervorragend um alles zu Fuß zu erkunden. Wir wurden von Paola und ihrem Sohn Leonardo freundlich und pünktlich im Empfang genommen. Wir können die Wohnung wärmstens empfehlen.

Super ausgestattete, exzellent gelegene und ruhige Wohnung mit netten Gastgebern
Super Wohnung, ruhig im Zentrum an einer Parkanlage zu der die Schlafzimmer liegen. Die ist nachts geschlossen, deshalb wunderbar still. Sehr gute Ausstattung der Küche und alles frisch renoviert in einem historischen Haus. Ganz nette Gastgeber, die uns exzellente lokale Tipps geben konnten. Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt!
