Excellent three night stay. Good location for access to Pisa and Lucca both approx 30 mins. Good quality dinner at the hotel on one of the nights.

The property is so beautiful and the surroundings as well. The countryside is stunning and the staff was very welcoming (Michela was extremely helpful). The room was exactly like on the pictures , very spacious with great views. Would definitely come back and recommend Villa Casanova! The only con we would say was the restaurant - we were a bit disappointed by the pasta we ordered.

The staff was superb, helpful, friendly and accommodating. The grounds are very pleasant, and we were even able to take advantage of the tennis court (racquets and balls available for borrowing). Pool was refreshing. Our deluxe suite with valley view was incredibly spacious. Our only comment was the room furnishings felt a bit spartan (but to be honest, I probably fixate on these things more than your average guest.) The town of Lucca was 20 minutes away, Pisa 30 minutes, wineries 15 minutes. It was an excellent base for exploring the area, and an all-around splendid stay.

Villa magnifique avec des suites très spacieuses, lumineuses et très bien équipées. Literie excellente. Vue exceptionnelle sur la vallée et jardins et montagnes. Piscine à débordement sur la terrasse principale très agréable où nous avons eu la chance de prendre nos petits-déjeuners et dîners. Equipe très professionnelle, pleine d’attention et de gentillesse . En résumé, un séjour exceptionnel d’autant plus qu’idéalement placé à proximité de Lucca et de Pise tout en étant à l’écart de l’agitation. Aucun point négatif

Benissimo. Consigliato.
Bellissima esperienza dall'arrivo alla partenza. La struttura risulta ben tenuta, con piscina pulita e stanze enormi, complete di tutti confort. Un particolare merito va a Michela che riesce a coccolare i clienti ed è sempre a disposizione per qualsiasi informazione, senza mai risultare invadente.

Beautiful serene location. Perched on the side of a hill overlooking the valley and mountains beyond - and sititing on our balcony until long after dark, that view never got old. We wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms, big bathtub, comfortable bed were beyond expectation. A little hard to find, but definitely worth persevering until you do! We’ll be back!

Très belle villa
Superbe demeure avec une vue dégagée sur la vallée. Très grande chambre beau salon et salle de bains XXL. Bon accueil. Excellent petit-déjeuner. Très belle piscine a débordement. Petit bémol, l'insonrisation avec la chambre du dessus, sinon très calme.

The property is reaslly nice with large spacious rooms. The hotel is located in a very peaceful remote location with stunning views. The pool was really nice, but could do with some heating and it would be nice if there was a small fitness centre on-site. There was a limited lunch menu based on being so remote. Dinner was great, but a very small restaurant. The couple managing the hotel were really friendly

The view was stunning, the room was very large and beautiful. There is a tennis court at the hotel which is cut in to the hill.... you'll never play tennis in a place with a more stunning outlook! Staff very helpful and tennis racquets there to borrow.

The property is beautiful and the staff was outstanding. My only issue we reserved well in advance and paid for rooms with balconies. When we arrived we given rooms without balconies and was never explained why or offered any type of compensation. That was very disappointing to me and I plan to follow up with expedia to see what next steps are available to me.

Nicest place we have stayed in Italy. Beautiful rooms. Lovely breakfast with a view. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great value. You do need a car to stay here.

a nice hotel
room was very big but close to reception so during the day you can here people talking , The fridge was noisy as well. the room was nice & very clean, very helpfull staff & lovely location, apart from the bulldozer constantly reversing and making a beeping noise in the adjacent property all day long, Plus on the last night of our stay restaurant was overbooked and they mucked up our meal which was a shame but refunded the steak, they also allow dogs at the hotel which we did not realise when booking. Overall our stay was good

This hotel is absolutely stunning! We arrived late in the evening and it was a little intimidation finding the hotel at night, not being able to see our surroundings. But, thankfully GPS took us straight there! We were personally walked to our room which was, by far, the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in! And....it's not a room....it's like your own large suite! The hotel staff, restaurant, grounds, everything was just perfect. I can't recommend this hotel enough...definitely a must-see!

Hotellet er smukt med store værelser. Pool er kold og ligger i skygge. Morgenmad serveres på en kold og skyggefulde terrasse. Lever ikke op til de 5 stjerner. Service skal opgraderes hvis de skal leve op til det.

The good the room! 10/10. Beautiful, huge, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was also amazing a huge bath and large shower. If you were just doing one night it would be worth absolutly worth it! Felt very luxurious inside. If you thinking of staying longer... The not so good- other than the room it wasnt ideal. The hotel- did not feel like a hotel at all. It is more like a bnb and you often feel like you are disturbing them when you come through the house to go to your room. There is really only 2 staff who are husband and wife. The location - you are 30 minutes drive from the town. There was a restaurant 10 minute drive and we wanted to get a cab but were told not to as cabs would over charge a minimum £80 each way! Food and drink - hugly over priced. A can of soft drink (fanta or coke) was €4! The most expensive we encountered (twice what we paid in tourist traps). When there are no shops near by its a very expensive drink. We ate lunch one of the days and had a salad (€14) and pasta which was cold. The pool - the pool was ice cold and as it only got sun for part of the day it never went above 12 degrees. We were told it used to be heated but that the owner didnt want to pay for it anymore! Over all the room was 5* but everything else wasn't. If you expect that, and eat on the way, it would be a nice stay for a night.

Tuscan oasis in Lucca
Stunning hotel, large rooms with all amenities considered. Only comment would be that the bed was too soft. Bathroom simply exceptional with full size tub and a huge shower space (unusual in Italy!). Spectacular views. Easy parking, very peaceful location, 20 min drive from Lucca, 30min drive from Pisa. We will be back!
