Before we arrived to luxor we decided to call the property manager as the place had not a clear location on google maps (weirdly, the hotel had two different locations). It was difficult to contact the manager and once we contacted him he hasn't even noticed that we were arriving that day. He picked us up from the ferry but he told us the original property wasn't available so he offered us another property instead. The other hotel was completely different from the one we booked, and even it was under repairs and they were clearly not able to host us at that moment.
In compensation for the property arbitrary switch, the manager offered us what he said were 3 meals. What happened was that once we took the 2nd meal, he actually charged us because supposedly the offer was 3 meals for all the group and not per person. In comparison, we checked that this meal was definitely overpriced for what we got for luxor standards.
The apartment was ok. It wasn't sparkling clean and there were problems with the toilet. Supposedly we had free access to the pool but we could do it only until the third day as the property was under maintenance.
For us it was a big scam.
