La cama muy usada hundida. Las almohadas mediocres. El protector de la cana de platico como en los hospitales. Y las sabanas super cortas.

Me gustó mucho el enclave del hotel, los edificios. Lo que menos me gustó fue el desayuno ( sólo 3 variedades de fruta y ausencia de dulces); la calidad de las toallas era pésima; y el recambio de sobres de café y té en la habitación costaba 6€ cuando en cualquier hotel inferior es gratis.

Hotel con todo
El hotel nos ha gustado mucho ya que tiene todos los servicios necesarios para pasar una estancia agradable. El único inconveniente que hemos encontrado es el tiempo de espera a la hora de comer o cenar en el bar o restaurante del hotel ya que tardaban mucho en servir los platos, aunque también nos hemos dado cuenta de que el personal era escaso y que tenían que estar en varios sitos del hotel por lo que el servicio perdía calidad. Es una pena que en hoteles de esta categoría tengan que perder calidad por no tener el personal suficiente para atender correctamente a sus clientes. En todo caso nos hemos sentido muy bien atendendidos por el personal que nos ha servido.

Tranquilo y confortable
Fue una estancia muy agradable. El personal muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar, aunque si me sorprendió que no saludaran a los clientes al cruzarnos en las distintas estancias del hotel. Es un hotel muy tranquilo y acogedor. Han tenido un gran detalle al sorprendernos con una tarta y una botella de champán en la habitación con motivo de mi cumpleaños.

Tres bon hotel
Tres beau village vacances, vastes chambres très confortables, jolies piscines et tres bon petit-déjeuner. La situation est excentrée, pas de village animé accessible a pied. Cependant toutes les commodités sont disponibles sur place. Nous y étions en saison basse (fin février), il y regnait une ambiance de village fantôme, surprenant à l'arrivée du fait de la faible occupation. Nous sommes restés qu'une nuit apres notre atterrissage sur l'île, avant de démarrer le tour de l'ile en voiture.

Notre séjour s'est déroulé du 17 au 23 février. Période creuse au niveau tourisme il est donc vrai que nous n'avons pas croisé beaucoup d'autres vacanciers. Mais quoi de plus agréable que des petits déjeuners, après-midis, balades et soirées au calme avec les bruits des vagues qui s'écrasent contre les rochers ? Nous avons choisi spécifiquement cet Hôtel pour son emplacement en dehors de l'agitation des plus grandes villes (qui d'ailleurs sont très bien desservies si vous souhaitez les visiter: bus de l'île et/ou navette gratuite jusque Funchal sur réservation). Le personnel est chaleureux, souriant, disponible ! Les petits déjeuners sont extra : beaucoup de choix pour éveiller vos papilles dès le réveil et même un chef qui se fera un plaisir de vous faire, à la demande, une omelette ou des œufs au plat ! Des activités splendides à faire aux alentours : Si vous êtes lassé des trois piscines, de la salle de sport, de la salle de jeu, du terrain de tennis et que vous avez déjà fait le tour de la carte des nombreux massages et soins disponibles dans le complexe de l'hôtel, vous pourrez toujours aller faire une randonnée jusqu'à la Ponta De San Lourenço, ou bien aller à la Marina faire un baptême de plongée, nager avec des dauphins ou encore aller observer des baleines ! Non, vraiment, n'hésitez pas, c'est un petit coin de paradis ! P.S : Oui, il y a des avions qui passent parfois, mais c'est parce que vous êtes sur une ÎLE. Encore merci à toute l'équipe, à bientôt ! :)

Die Anlage besteht aus mehreren Häusern, Poollandschaften, Restaurants, Kleinem Kaufladen und einer Marina. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick inkl. Frühstück gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, hatte einen überdachten Balkon mit Blick auf die kleine Marina und das offene Meer. Die Überdachung war sinnvoll da man auch bei gelegentlichem Regen draussen sitzen konnte. Das Bad mit separatem Toilettenbereich, extra Dusche und extra Badewannen Bad entspricht allen jeweiligen Bedürfnissen. Die Klimaanlage, die um diese Jahreszeit als Heizung dienen muss, funktionierte Anfangs nicht konnte durch einen Hotel Techniker aber instantgesetzt werden. Das Frühstücksangebot erfüllte alle Erwartungen. Viel frisches Obst und Fruchtsäfte. Eierspeisen in jeglicher Form - auch frisch zubereitet. Wurst, Schinken, und Käseplatten ausreichend. Nur an dem einzigen in Betrieb befindlichen Kaffee Vollautomaten musste man zeitweise anstehen. Das Restaurant Lords ist sehr gut geführt. die Speisen exzellent, während die darunter liegende Snackbar mit der Zubereitung der wenigen angebotenen Speisen sichtlich überfordert war. Dort sollte man auf der schönen Sonnenterrasse zur Marina hin lieber nur einen Drink nehmen. Die Speisen waren ungenießbar. Wie das Essen im Haupthaus Restaurant ist, entzieht sich unserer Kenntnis, da hier nur die Gäste mit VP, HP und AI Arrangements bedient wurden.

Missing jewelry
I went scuba diving with a shop at the marina. I took off my 4 karat wedding ring and put it in my makeup bag. We were supposed to be back before check out; however, the dive ran longer than expected. My husband packed my things to vacate the room, but forgot my makeup bag in the bathroom. I called the hotel as soon as I realized. Im really disappointed in the quality of service- the hotel treated the situation as if I had left some lipstick. They initially said they wouldn't be able to do anything until morning. A few hours later they called back and said they decided to go ahead and look that night. The ring is an heirloom and my son was going to propose to his girlfriend with it, but the hotel claims the makeup bag wasn't found. Really disappointed in how this was handled. I read other reviews in which guests have reported similar instances.

Even though already replied to the same review at tripadvisor and fortunately the Police Crime now definitely envolved (which we look forward to the end of this with insurances....) here are our comments: 1) It IS not at all true that any other guest complains about missing items from room 2) You had a free of charge safe in the room for your valuable items which of course if you do not use the hotel cannot be liable But most important: 1) You indeed called the hotel and at that late time of course would be normally difficult to our colleagues at reception confirm having or not found any left items a) Therefore, your call was not as you say immediately after you realised missing what so ever but at late evening 2) Because reception could not reply to you, you demanded to speak immediately to the General Manager which with great pleasure he did so and explained why reception was not able to give you the immediate answer. 3) Because our GM wanted to give you a soonest reply, all colleagues that were involved in the cleaning of your room as well as the executive housekeeper were called to find out if indeed anything was left 4) Your check-out time was due at 12h00 and yet with great pleasure it was granted late check-out 5) After your checked out, of course we had to prepare the room for the next arrival and as our colleagues started to do their work, your husband returned to the room and besides picking up indeed some left items, he checked the room for anything else. 6) Of course thus all was duly confirmed with our colleagues, nothing was indeed found Of course our GM made a point that all would be thoroughly confirmed and then instructed reception to inform you about it. Strangely, your reaction was as per our colleague quite normal as if indeed you had found your belongings. As further expressed, we do strongly suggest you present a complaint at the police for further detailed investigation (if there's any at our side......) We are sorry that you have made such a review that we do not accept your comments. Thank you for your visit which was a pleasure having had you with us.

Overall we loved our stay. The view from our room was just gorgeous and it was so peaceful. A very relaxing location but not for those who prefer things a little livelier. However a free shuttle service is provided to Funchal allowing plenty of opportunity to explore. Only two small gripes, the choice of food onsite could have been better, and our double bed was actually two beds pushed together. But these were not enough to spoil our stay. Little extra touches such as a thank you gift of fruit and chocolate on our last day were much appreciated. Helpful staff speaking an amazing range of languages. Right by the sea. Possibly not suitable for people with limited mobility due to steepness and quite a lot of steps. Would we stay here again and/or recommend it? Absolutely, loved it. And if we could have the same room again that would be fantastic!

Als wir unsere Unterkunft für die nächsten 2Wochen sahen, waren wir sprachlos. Wir hatten 2 Balkone mit Meerblick, ein grossen Wohnbereich mit Esstisch, Couch, Fernseher und einen Balkon. Einen Flur mit großem Spiegel. Das Schlafzimmer war ebenfalls groß mit Fernseher, Balkon mit Möbeln, separaten Schrank mit Safe. Das Bad war ein Traum. Badewanne und Dusche, grosser Spiegel, abgegrenzte Toilette mit BD. Was auch toll war das man für die Räume separate Klimaanlagen hatte.

Espaço muito agradável e relaxante.
O espaço é muito agradável, você encontra um lugar calmo e relaxante. Tem bons acessos até chegar ao local. A edificação é muito bonita, uma autêntica “vila”. Se o tempo estiver descoberto será ótimo poder desfrutar do acesso ao mar e/ou das várias piscinas. Os quartos são espaçosos, bem equipados e com bom isolamento, no entanto o ar-condicionado é um pouco barulhento e nalguns canto do quarto havia pó acumulado. Sempre que foi necessário o serviço de atendimento foi prestável e eficaz, no entanto nem todos falam a língua Portuguesa.

Belle concept d’infrastructure et emplacement interessant, mais le service, l’amenagement, la restauration, l’ambiance et l’organisation ne repondent pas à mes attents d’un ètablissement 5 ètoiles. Accessibilitè pour personnes à mobilitè rèduite pas optimal dans lètablissement. Il y a un grand potentiel mais sous-exploitè. Malgrè quelques efforts du staff ( très gentil mais insuffisant pour assurer un bon fonctionnement 5 ètoiles) pour repondre aux remarques que nous avions fait dès le premier jour, nous avons dècidè de anticiper notre dèpart.

We stayed here for our anniversary and had a lovely time. Beautiful resort lovely pool and nice beach area. Beach bar did some Nice cocktails with a cocktail of the day at a reduced price. Only downside, works happening on the natural pool which was very diaaapointing. But there was a nice area by the beach private for guests. Massive rooms with nice ceilings and bathrooms. Good facilities in the room tea and coffee and a kettle, nice balcony and we got a partial sea view rather than pool view like we laid which was a bonus. At breakfast there was only one person cooking eggs, omelettes etc whic meant a very long wait. Only 2 choices of bakery items at breakfast which run out very quickly. Although the food was tasty, more croissants / baked items would have been good. Check in was sufficient and we were offered a drink which was nice although we were a little bit confused about the location of the room. In the end someone offered to help us; which I think should be mandatory anyway due to the size of the resort. Beautiful views and overall a lovely few days. I would have liked to have stayed longer! Free parking and WiFi

Lovely stay
Lovely stay. We stayed in one of the sea view suite rooms and it was lovely. Gorgeous views, comfortable beds and spacious suite. Bathroom facilities were good - the shower was nice and powerful. Staff were wonderful - very friendly and helpful. Multiple parking options available and great restaurants. In particular, the food and service received in the Lorde restaurant was amazing. I thought it was good value. The only development point I think would be breakfast. Food is okay but they would benefit from more options and better morning coffee.

Es haben Kleinigkeiten gefehlt, die das Leben aber etwas leichter machen. Z.B. musste man es extra ordern die Minibar zu füllen und auch Teebeutel oder Kaffeepulver bereitzustellen. das ist nervig bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel.Beim Frühstücksbuffet gab es als einzige frische Früchte Äpfel und Birnen, die lagen im Wasser, und das auf einer Insel wo sooo viele Früchte wachsen.

Wir haben mit der Buchung der Villa etwas sehr besonderes erwartet. Es gab allerdings einige Mängel an der Einrichtung. Zwei der Betten hatten im Bereich des Kopfes (Stoffbezug) großflächige weiße Flecken. Das Bettzeug und die Matratzen waren ansonsten ohne Beanstandung - die Matratzen waren sehr gut. Die Stühle des Esstisches hatten eine Art Kunstleder, dass sich groß- und kleinflächig ablöste und nicht ansehnlich war und an unserer Kleidung haftete bzw. durch das Sitzen abbribbelte und auf den Boden fiel. Die Handtücher und Bademäntel waren schlechter Qualität und wiesen zum Teil kleine Löcher auf und waren ausgefranzt. Die Sauberkeit war ohne Beanstandung und sehr gut. Die Villa war auf dem ersten Blick beeindruckend, allerdings konnte man sich zum Beispiel im Wohnbereich nicht so richtig unterhalten, da es extrem hallte. Die Villa steht zwischen weiteren Villen, die allerdings wie eine kleine Geisterstadt wirkt, da viele der Fenster von innen mit weißem Papier beklebt waren oder unmöbeliert standen. In der Villa waren Zimmer verschlossen, dieses gab ein unwohliges Gefühl. Das Frühstück im Haupthaus war gut -es war für jeden etwas dabei - Obst, Salat, Käse, Aufschnitt, Marmeladen, Kuchen, Pancakes, Omlette, eingelegtes Obst, Müsli und Cerealien oder die englische Variante.. Außerdem gabe es verschiedene Brötchen und Brot Variationen. Ebenfalls gab es diverse Heißgetränke, Sekt, Saft, Wasser, Smoothies. Sauberkeit war ohne Beanstandung.

Wir waren eine Woche auf Madeira und haben davon die Hälfte der Zeit im Quinta Do Lorde Resort Hotel Marina verbracht. Es hat uns dort sehr gut gefallen und war auch das beste Hotel auf unserer Reise. Top Service, Top Lage und wunderschöne Zimmer. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Great Place to Stay!
The hotel is very beautiful and provides a relaxing place to stay. There is a small but convenient market on the grounds as well as a few restaurants affiliated with the resort. Some people choose an all-inclusive option but I used breakfast only. The meal was the same every morning but provided a lot of options that I liked. The location is away from the city of Funchal but the city can be reached easily by the highway and the resort is very close to the airport. For this reason there will be noise at times from incoming planes, although the airport is not as busy as a major city airport. The customer service is very good. The people who work here are very friendly and willing to help you with anything that you need. One downside is that there are a lot of hills and stairs, but this is mostly unavoidable in Madeira. One other nice thing is that the resort is next to one of the beautiful walks in the island, the peninsula. If you want somewhere peaceful and relaxing to stay, I recommend Quinta Do Lorre.

Excellent hotel with very nice facilities.
Excellent hotel with very nice facilities and staff. The only disadvantage for our intention of a walking holiday was the distance and cost to reach the levadas.
