After four very lean years in terms of snow, we were expecting the accommodations to be a bit tired, which they were. But while the unit does have some updates to its kitchen, specifically the refrigerator and dishwasher, both of them were problematic. The biggest issue was the refrigerator, whose fan (which ran continuously ) made a noise like a generator. A loud generator. So loud we couldn't watch television in the living room and essentially spent all three nights of our visit in the bedroom with the doors shut. As for the dishwasher, it leaked. There were a few minor issues as well, when we arrived the unit did not have a spatula. It seems like a minor thing until you try to prepare eggs for breakfast. Other breakfast challenges were the toaster, which only toasted one side of the bread. There were no coffee mugs, only small cups, when we arrived.
The management was responsive, I'll say that for them. They sent people out to look at the problem, but did not have the parts to make the repairs and Mammoth being such a small town, parts would have to be shipped in. Which did not help our cause. Becky from the office was nice enough to come by and bring a spatula and cups, which was much appreciated.
However, I was given to understand that an adjustment would be made and we would receive at least a partial refund. I made numerous calls and sent emails, promises were made to me that someone named John would get back to me about a partial refund, but I never heard back.
If you are thinking of renting this unit, I would strongly suggest that you contact the rental agency to make sure these issues have been addressed.
