We came to visit and check out one of our adult children’s new town, recently moved to manistee. We had a lot of fun. We were surprised at how well the we all fit in the house with room enough - 6 adults and kids. The two upstairs bedrooms are connected, need to walk through one to get to the other- perfect for mom/dad and kids; we slept in the tiny room downstairs- fits a bed and that’s about it- but we didn’t find it uncomfortable- was okay! The kitchen is nice and bathroom good; the water pressure is finicky but we figured it out and was not an issue / it’s an older home so quirks are expected. The parking is tight - no driveway- only two cars fit well and no where else to leave a car nearby and shuttle. The neighbor lady isn’t happy about living next to a vbro- so if you’ll be loud or want to drink, grill out, (no yard really- a small side area - does have fire pit and chairs are nice) you may hear about it from her- she was okay with us - we weren’t too loud. The neighborhood is quiet. It was early in the manistee season so the neighborhood may be different in summer. Over all: nice house; nice amenities inside; SUPER comfy beds; nice bathroom; great couches; clean and functional. Would stay again.

We did not have running water in the bathroom faucet or shower. The kitchen faucet had water but it took 7 minutes of running for hot water. When the toilet was flushed all water faucets would just trickle out water. We went and purchased jugs of water from a nearby store. I contacted the Host by phone, message and email. We didn't get a response until the day that we left. I have used VRBO countless times and have never had a negative experience until now. On a positive note, the house was furnished very tastefully and close to the beach and channel. No retribution was offered.

Cozy little place with all the things you need to enjoy your stay. With a view of the river just out of your front door! I would often walk with my dog down by the water in the evening and the north channel brewery is a short walk away as well if you want some food, craft brew and good atmosphere as well as TJ’s pub and other nice places down town! And just a short drive from the beach!

Our stay was AMAZING! The house was well decorated and had plenty of places to put our belongings. Nice open space downstairs to hang out! Kitchen worked great for cooking! Complimentary coffee filters were a life saver. Bathroom was spacious. Bed upstairs was very comfortable! It was hot upstairs (as expected with an upstairs/older house) but they provided a fan that worked well. Outside yard was the perfect place to chill, we could even see some of the boats come in on the river across the street. Neighbors were friendly! Location was great, we walked into town numerous times and felt very safe. Manistee is such an adorable and nice town—good shopping and places to eat. House was EXTREMELY dog friendly! Our golden retriever had plenty of space in the house and had a blast playing at the dog friendly beach that’s only like a 5 minute drive away. He loved meeting the people of Manistee! The complimentary poop bags were such a nice gesture too! Property manager is very informative and helpful! Great people to rent from!! Note to others who use the dog beach: bring a hose to attach to one of the spigots in the grassy area near entrance of the beach to make rinsing off your dog more helpful after a day in the sand and the water!

House is awesome. It did smell a little musty and the water pressure could have been better. Other than that it is a wonderful house and we did enjoy ourselves. The owner stay and I contact with us to ensure we were comfortable. We very impressed.

The property was located in a shady neighborhood with lots of random people walking by at all times of the night. The listing stated river view and private patio but that is kind of a stretch. The accuracy of the listing misrepresented the actual rental. We had a great time fishing and did enjoy being walking distance to some shops and restaurants.

Our family had a wonderful vacation staying at this property. It is clean and spacious, and very much a "home away from home". It is a perfect spot between the beach and downtown Manistee. We loved that the property was pet friendly! The owner is easily accessible, with a very reasonable response time. We would definitely stay their again!

We had a wonderful stay at this house. Great location if you have dogs and like the beach as North Beach (dog friendly) is literally a few minute drive. Manistee is a cute town with a few good places to eat. Safe and quiet neighborhood close to a grocery store. Very kind and attentive hosts.

This was a nice place for us to stay for a few nights. The first floor is roomy and comfortable and the kitchen is big. The host was very communicative and provided a nice welcome guide to help out. A few things to note for future bookers: The stairs are very steep. Fine for a young adult like me, but maybe not for young child or older person. It’s very hot upstairs where two beds are, and there is no door or curtain for privacy between the rooms. The kitchen has the basics, but is not fully stocked with enough food storage, foil, other items that one might have in their kitchen so be prepared to go buy or bring if needed. No laundry on site. Overall a good place and would probably stay again if ever came back.

When we first pulled in I was confused about the parking but the owner responded immediately and clarified it for me. The yard is very small but there were plenty of other areas to walk my dog. The house was nice and had plenty of space. The stairs to the upstairs are very steep but no problem for adults, maybe wouldn’t be safe for children. There is a bedroom on the main floor tho so families could still stay here. Living room and kitchen are spacious. Bathroom is very nice and spacious as well. Great place to stay!

We had a great stay at this cute property. It’s close to the beach and downtown, easily within walking or short driving distance. The house itself is cozy. The whole process was easy and the owner was great at communicating. My only recommendation is to put in a porch or side-yard light.

This property was decorated super cute. Clean and just great. Close to lots of things to do. We say deer's sleeping in a neighbor's yard. Very Cool. Close to marina if you want to charter fish.

Chad’s space was absolutely perfect for us and our two pups! The living quarters were beautiful and the location couldn’t be beat. You have everything you could need to cook meals if you don’t want to eat out a ton, or there are lots of yummy options within a short walking distance. We walked downtown and to the beaches every day. You are a 2 minute drive to North Beach that is dog friendly which was amazing because our pups love the beach and water. The neighborhood was very quiet. There really isn’t anything negative to say about Chad’s place. We will definitely be staying again. :)

The home was clean and well decorated. There were a couple things I did suggest to the management company following our stay and I think they will address them. Just little things like stocking the kitchen better when advertising a fully stocked kitchen. But a couple other things perspective renters should be aware of, the stairs are very steep and lack a hand rail on the outside of the stairs. The stairs are steep and carpeted which make them slippery. Also the upstairs bedrooms do not have doors on them, you go through one room to get to the next and neither have doors. The home is located close distance to 5th avenue beach and town, both within walking distance or biking.
