Teníamos 5 habitaciones reservadas, cuando llegamos solo tenían 4. La señora de recepción en España no la dejarían trabajar, creo que tenía mas de 90 años, algo grosera y sin paciencia. (la habitación que nos faltaba, que no podía construirla en una noche...., eso nos contestó)

I will not ever use a Budget brand hotel again
Wallpaper was coming off a wall. An electrical outlet was loose and coming out of the wall. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable. Mattress covered in plastic which crinkled with every move. Pillows were flat and stiff.The lamp in the room did not work. There were no towel racks or counter in the bathroom. The soap provided was hard and course like lava. I thought I was using reward points to book this motel, but was charged when I arrived.

Although this was an older, traditional Motel it was in generally good shape and the owners obviously cared, were making it all it could be.

Avoid at all costs.
Locked myself out last night around 11. Everybody makes mistakes. Could not receive any assistance until 8:45 this morning. Older fellow making coffee waved me away despite my distress. Froze in my truck trying to sleep. Service is a zero. Do not expect hospitality, not worth its paltry price tag. Avoid at all costs.

Everything was good except no refrigerator or microwave in room, had asked for refrigerator which said upon request but never did get one. Our room needed new carpet, carpet was old and stained, bathroom was real nice

Never got to stay thesplaxe was closed when we arrived and would not answer the door bell they have set up for after hours. We reserved a room and had to drive an hour and a half in the middle of the night to find another room. No phone call nothing from this motel, very upset about it😬

The room smelled terrible. I asked for and received pillows that did not reek of tobacco but the room was so smelly, anyway. The shower temperature was not steady, so we would get scalded or frozen as the flow continuously changed between the two temperature ranges. The lady at the reception desk was nice - and she is the only good part about this motel. I suggest you skip this place.

Showed up for my reservation and nobody was there to give us a room. Rang the bell, called multiple times but we simply got left high and dry. No rooms anywhere in the U.P. so we ended up sleeping in car...thanks for nothing.

Bad, dirty, gave us a room where bed wasn’t made, got another room and curtains wouldn’t close. Also no remote for TV. Beds were rumpled. We left. They did give us our money back.

The place is convenient, but run down. Carpet a mess, but what can you do when the parking lot comes nearly to the room door. A place to sleep, absolutely no frills (no kleenex, shampoo, etc.).

Good night's sleep
The room was just right for a good night's sleep, quick in/quick out. The bathroom was very clean, which is something I really appreciate, and the sheets were clean as well. The carpet, however, was very dirty and unsightly, and the upholstered chairs were in similar condition. Our parking spot was directly in front of our room. Overall, this was a pleasant stay, especially for the price.

We didn’t get to stay. We made the reservation through Hotel.com and when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that they were completely booked and had no rooms available. After having no issues previously booking through this site, it was disappointing that this happened after a long day of traveling.

Should be removed from hotels.com
Did not honor our confirmed reservation. When we arrived to check in they said they were booked and we did not have a room even with our confirmation number. The desk clerk told us to come back just before 1100 pm and we might be able to get a room. We were not the only people this happened to that night. The hotels.com app always shows 4 rooms avalable. This may be a great way to fill your run down motel but it leaves some travelers out on the street.

Enjoyed staying very much...stopped on way up to Saute St Marie. Went to Casino, 3 seasons resturant, very relaxing stay there. Would recomend to everyone.....Affordable too.

The property had a vacancy. Parking was available right at the door to the room. There was enough light available. Front desk was disappointing. Not very accommodating. When told there was no hand or shower soap, no attempt was made to correct the issue. TV had no direction for use. The remote was particularly unresponsive. Furniture had to be moved to access electrical outlets. Could easily hear children in a nearby unit. Highway noise excessive. Would I recommend? Let me only say, I would be very reluctant to stay there again.

Our reservation was not honored. After driving for 11 hours straight, they said they had no rooms and that Expedia had overbooked us. Too bad. Not understanding at all. Gave me a list of places to call. The guy at The Colonial Inn helped us get a room at the Starr Motel. It was touch and go for a while though. I can never trust Expedia again. No warning whatsoever!!!!

Terrible smell of smoke and mustiness and some kind of horrible chemical. Carpet was STICkY and stains everywhere. I couldn’t walk on in bare feet. Disgusting. Pillows were flimsy. No bed bugs thank goodness. Paid for two nights but left after one night. At $75/night, you get what you pay for. Horrible!

As I checked-in at the front desk to pay for my stay, the attending employee said it was the highest bill total she ever rang up. That didn’t bode very well as a first impression. The motel room was basic and suited us just fine. The bed and sheets were clean and bathroom although it was a bit dated was also kept in good condition. The shower head was a bit low, so if you’re above 5’8” it may feel a bit short. There was a bedside lamp that was visibly broken with a lampshade that was bent. The room A/C kept the room nice and cool through the summer night. Complimentary coffee was available every morning along with pastries and microwave at the front desk. Rooms do not have microwaves. We requested a mini-fridge in our room. There is an ice machine at the front desk. The Service was poor and almost non-existent. Our bed was never made and when we requested sheets to be changed, or toilet paper, soap and clean towels, we were just handed those over. We had to make our own bed. The sheets must have shrunk after being washed countless times and were too short for the bed and don’t fit at all. Our room was vacuumed once during our stay. The swimming pool has seen better days and hasn’t been operating in decades. That’s too bad because it could add value to the motel. Umbrellas and patio furniture by a working pool would give the hotel more curb appeal during the summer months.
