Un Oasis en medio de Maputo.
Dado que Maputo es un destino para aventureros , las personas que llegan aqui deben saber que esperar un estilo europeo y un barrio bello no es factible, sin embargo este Hostal es un oasis en medio del desierto, bastante bien ubicado, limpio, seguro, cordial y con un gran anfitriòn y administrador que es Mario, se compensa todas las debilidades que tiene Maputo como ciudad.Mi recomendaciòn es de un 100%.

Careful with your stuff
The cleaning woman stole us 60 dollars while we were out and nobody took care about it, we spoked with the owner and he did not gave us a solution or compensation, we really don't recommend it!!!! Up to you....

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. It was very unfortunate that you did not have a good experience when you visited, however, the management team did suggest to lay a formal charge at our local police station so that they could investigate further, which was declined. As is world wide practice, we cannot be held responsible for belongings that go missing during your stay and nothing short of a complimentary night's stay would be "compensation" enough, which, as a very small, independent guesthouse we do not have the means to be able to do this. Hotelliin saavuttuamme, meille kerrottiin, että hotelli on remontissa ja omistaja vaihtunut. Hotellia remontoitiin eikä siellä voinut yöpyä. Jouduimme etsimään uuden hotellin ja maksamaan siitä. Varauksesta ei korvattu mitään. Ihmettelen, miksei Ebookers tiedottanut asiasta. Ilman uuden omistajan apua olisimme olleet todella pulassa!!!

Moz guest value for money
Moz guest is a very comfy place within easy reach to all cafes bars place of interest etc , room was very clean with telly , aircon and plenty hot water , nice breakfast in the morning , friendly staff , and the owner Mario is very helpful and informative

Sans aucun regret
Etablissement très propre,très confortable et très bien situé à quelques minutes à pieds de la Casa Ferro , du centre culturel Franco Mozambicain , de la place de l'indépendance , de la superbe Gare etc etc. Mario le Propriétaire Portugais de l'Hôtel vous fournira tous les conseils essentiels pour vous rendre votre séjour à Maputo agréable et sûr ! Il vous commandera vos taxi avec ses chauffeurs de confiance. Il parle très bien Français et est vraiment très sympa.

A very pleasant surprise!
The hotel is much better than might be expected by the photos of the hotel or its neighbourhood. Tastefully decorated in a modern and calm, almost Scandinavian style, extremely clean, quiet and comfortable in any way. Breakfast was adequate and good, with the exception of coffee that was an instant mix of coffee and chicory. (This appears to be pretty common in Mozambique, so if you want coffee then you have to bring your own instant coffee.) But the milk to it was hot, so no complaints. A little on the downside: I would expect a little more knowledge from hotel employees about the city, eg transportation facilities.

Very comfortable stay
We only stayed for 1 night as a stop over before going back to SA, but we really enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable, clean, and the owner was very friendly and helped us secure safe parking.

det var rigtig dejligt, god sevice. Personalet var rigtig søde. Eneste minus var chefen, han var flink overfor os, men han opførte sig rigtig grimt overfor Personalet, han råbte ad dem, og skældte dem ud i alles påhør. Vi boede der alt ialt 6 nætter på 3 uger, og chefen ødelagde den gode stemning hver gang

So so, water cut off around 7 am daily, and no tv in the room supposedly included , so, not comfortable for the first night, the owner put tv in the room after our complaint. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful despite we had dificulty of communication in English with them

Il proprietario si ė mostrato apparentemente cordiale ma invece scontroso. Non ci ha consentito di anticipare la colazione di mezz'ora nonostante fossimo gli unici ospiti e discuteva spesso con il personale. Piuttosto caro per lo standard qualitativo offerto.

Review of MozGuest
I came there to stay between connecting flights and was just looking for a cheap place to spend the night. Even though i had booked the room months in advance I got a room where some of the lights did not work and the door would not lock. As I am showed to my room, the guy starts to fix these problems so I have to patiently wait there as they try to fix this. Other than that, the hotel is pretty much what you would expect to get for that price. The staff was very kind and helpful and the breakfast was very good. I would concider staying there if I was in a similar situation again.

Fine cheaper hotel in bad location
I arrived late at night and it was rather uncomfortable because of the run-down neighborhood and young men around (thieves?). I suggest calling to have them unlock the door before you get out of your taxi. Standing at the door without even a door bell, late, with the taxi driving away was not good. The room was small and clean. Better than expected in this low price range. The air con was cold and the shower was hot. There was no TV in my room though I think normally there is. It was quiet for sleeping. The breakfast was fine but very simple.

Very nice place in downtown Maputo.
Excellent. Very good place for a single person or a couple, right in downtown Maputo. Very clean, good breakfast, friendly staff, I recommend this place

Absolut no go. Dorset closed when I arrived nobody there. Extremely dirty entrance and first stair flight.

Great value. Excellent and friendly service. Rooms were small and a bit lacking, but very clean. Centrally located, but sketchy to walk around at night. Overall very happy with experience and would stay again.

O Hotel é bastante simples e o conforto é limitado, poderia melhorar em alguns itens simples. Atende bem para quem precisa de uma estadia rápida ou só pernoite. Os funcionários são muito gentis e prestativos. O Hotel atende ao bed and breakfast.

Good hotel
From the outside the hotel looked old and dated but when inside it was fantastic. The staff were friendly and could not do enough for us. The rooms were large, with comfortable beds and decent TV. I would happily stay at Moz Guest House again.

Hote? Miserable Absteige in mieser Gegend
Als Hotel würde ich dieses Absteige nicht bezeichnen. Bettwäsche nicht sauber, hatte mehrere Flecken, sowie auch die Handtücher. Zimmer stinkt. Fenster lassen sich zwar öffnen, aber der Hinterhof stinkt noch schlimmer. Die Zimmertür durfte man auch nicht schief anschauen, da wäre sie samt Rahmen aus der Wand gefallen. Es gab keinen Duschvorhang, der total verkalkte Duschkopf war auch schief, so dass erstmal das ganze Bad nass war... Die Sitzbänke der "Frühstücksecke" bestehen aus Euro-Paletten mit einem Polster drauf. Frühstück war zwar vorhanden in Buffet-Form, aber das hätte grade mal für 3 Personen gereicht (5 Scheiben Brot, 3 Päckchen Butter, 4 Päckchen Marmelade, 3 Scheiben Wurst, 3 Scheiben Ananas). Die Dame an der Rezeption sprach fast kein Englisch und ich musste das Anmelde-Formular selbst ausfüllen - in Portugiesch! Sogar die Zimmernummer musste ich selbst eintagen, obwohl mir diese niemand verraten hatte! Bis Sie dann noch meine Bitte verstanden hat, mir für den nächsten Morgen ein Taxi zu bestellen, waren fast 30 Minuten vergangen.

Disgusting place and dodgy part of toewn
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Dodgy part of the city, even the local company I visited there told me to not walk around at all. Entrance up a dark stairwell. No lunch or dinner facilities on premises. Free toiletries? Take your own, you get a round bar of soap. no shampoo or anything. Language barrier - IMMENSE Breakfast - disgusting Overall - I would rather pay double to stay at a place in Maputo than EVER stay here again.

Diese Unterkunft bietet für einen doch stolzen Preis nicht unbedingt viel. Aber in dieser Stadt ist die Hotelauswahl eh sehr schwer. Wifi funktionierte gut. Das Zimmer unfertig aber sauber. Aber wirklich nichts besonderes. Mitarbeiter bemüht, aber leider fast kein Wort englisch. Außerdem stehen keine Parkmöglichkeiten zur Verfügung. Auf der Straße zu parken empfiehlt sich eher weniger...

Compare with the appearance, the hotel might be the amazing place. Really nice and clean room with air condition and delicious breakfast. the only problem might be that not every staff can speak fluent english and Maputo is a quite dangerous city.

A 5 star guest house that is all
With the price of hotels in Maputo gone through the roof I was compelled to look for cheaper accommodation. I have never used a guest house before let alone in Maputo. I was very pleasantly surprised to have discovered MozGuest, it is simply a gem. If one travel for business or a short visit this is the ideal place to spend the night, clean, neat, with pleasant, helpful and courteous staff.

A good economical option in Maputo
Was in Maputo for several business meetings and stayed a couple times in this hotel. This hotel has several pluses, like the price, location, and that it is clean. But parking is just out on the street, so I opted to pay to keep my car overnight in the city parking a few streets away. That adds cost to the stay.

City center guesthouse
The staff and the room itself were great. The location, while central, was dicey. Maputo itself is a pit, in my opinion. It's an ugly decaded old city.
