The Rainbow House in Marblemount was one of the most memorable stays our family of six has ever had. The home is cozy, spotless, and beautifully maintained.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms—one with a bunk bed and another with two double beds and a connected bathroom with a tub. The kids loved watching the sunset from the upstairs porch and were thrilled to spot a fawn and her doe several evenings in a row.
Downstairs features another bedroom and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, which became our preferred spot for bathing. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room was perfect for unwinding after full days of exploring.
The laundry area, located in the detached garage, was a huge bonus—especially with an extra toilet available there. There is also a separate rental unit attached to the garage, but even if occupied, the layout is well-designed and still feels very private. The laundry is shared between the two units on a first-come, first-served basis, but we were the only renters and wouldn’t anticipate any issues even if it were shared. The space is thoughtfully planned—just be courteous if both units are in use, again total private spaces.
The home is just minutes from the North Cascades entrance and is well-equipped with AC and fans to keep things cool and comfortable.
We highly recommend the Rainbow House—it exceeded all expectations. The pictures don’t do it justice, and we’d return in a heartbeat!
