Our stay at the Creekside Lodge was great! We were helped by the innkeeper Todd who was one of the nicest persons we have ever met. He was so helpful and friendly and really helped to make us feel warm and welcome the entire time. Our unit was a suite and it was very clean on the inside. The Lodge was conveniently located near “everything” in this little town and was a few minute drive from Grover State Park. We would absolutely stay here again.

My friend and I spent a lovely two nights at Creekside Lodge. We were welcomed by the kind, friendly manager, Todd, who did everything to assure our comfort. Though not luxurious, the rooms were clean and cozy, and we slept so well. It was a little disappointing that our windows looked directly out onto the wall of the restaurant next door, so we had no view at all - but we were there to sleep, not sightsee. The lodge could really use some benches and landscaping around it to be able to enjoy the creek rushing just below the property. There was really no place outside to sit. But we liked our stay there and will return.

Super-cool trip back into a 50s/60s kinda mountain cabin w/ zero trendy crap. Just a warm, comfy place to chill and relax. Small but cozy.

Love the hosts
Very accommodating. They notified me of the room number and placed keys in the room so I didn't have to bother with the check in procedure. This might not work is a big city, but for little Markleeville it's really convenient. The only thing I'd fix is the shower head. I like a gentler shower flow, but if that's all I have to complain about they deserve the 5 stars. The mattress is really comfortable and the decor is cute without being overdone.

Great stay
We checked in late but got a super sweet voicemail from Todd, telling us where the keys are and the food situation. The place is super clean and cozy. We will definitely come back!

Comfortable and quiet.
Very cute little room with decorative touches that were really nice, but not overwhelming. The manager was really sweet, laid back and helpful. The bed was really comfortable and the night time was blissfully quiet even though the Inn is on the main drag. There is a "vending" room that everyone gets a key for and the prepackaged strawberry Belgian waffles are really good.

Cute, quaint accommodations in the middle of town. Our room was clean and comfortable. The owner/manager communicated with us before arrival which was greatly appreciated. We will return again on our next trip through the area.

Best Stay in Alpine Area!
Absolutely the best shower in the world, excellent pressure and plenty of hot water. Host, Todd was superbly helpful and friendly. Location next to a brewpub was perfect. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

It one of the best places we’ve ever stayed at. It’s simple, yet there’s enough there to make us very comfortable. The hot hot springs are just up the road and the bar next door has good food.We try to go every couple of months. Great

An ideal place to stay. We had quaint, immaculate, recently remodeled rooms perfectly located in the center of the action. Todd the manager is thoughtful, funny, and kind and made us feel at home right away. Very convenient distance from Grover Hot Springs. What a lovely spot and a beautiful town. We’ll definitely come back.

We had a great night in Markleville staying at the Creekside Lodge! We felt welcomed. We felt safe. Very clean and cozy. We walked next door and had an amazing dinner.

Old town feel with pleasant people
The Creekside Lodge was a memorable pleasant stay. I have nothing but excellent things to say about this place. Todd was extremely accommodating to our late check in, and was amazing with our two poodles. We had room 12 it was very clean! One of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in for sure! The king bed was beyond comfortable. We kept our window opened and enjoyed the sounds of the birds and the creek behind the lodge. We were lucky to enjoy the Saturday farmers market and Todd was so generous and kind. We ventured to the restaurant across the street which was amazing! It was a beautiful dinner and a beautiful stay. Thanks again Todd we will be back!

While the property was wonderful and we loved our double room attached by a well-stocked kitchenette, one we ventured off the property, nothing was open at 5pm except a little grocery store/tackle shop that closed at 6pm. None of the travel blogs and websites I visited before booking mentioned anything about everything closed up on a Tuesday despite it being the middle of summer. Had I known this information, I would have stayed in a different town, especially after traveling 7 1/2 hours (but then I wouldn’t have stayed in this cute little motel). I feel bad for this quaint little town that can’t keep its doors open except Thursday-Sunday.

Great property in Markleeville. The room was clean and recently remodeled. WiFi and plenty of cable channels which was a good surprise. Todd was great and has lots of good local fishing tips.

Lovely stay!
Beautiful and comfy stay in this little town which was just 35min away from Kirkwood. Stayed here overnight while we skiied at Kirkwood. Also ate dinner just across the street at Stonefly which was delicious. The bed was super comfy - the room was very clean - check-in was very easy. They were very communicative and even called me ahead of time to confirm details. Wifi was reliable. Would definitely
