Gorgeous house. Awesome stay!
Where to begin! Gorgeous location. Close to South Lake as well as Carson Valley. Beautiful all around View. Good privacy. All the best amenities- the MOST comfortable mattresses on every bed! Best sleep any of of have had at a VRBO. The whirlpool bathtub is great! The kitchen has all the things! Cooking was a breeze. Large dining room table for family dinners. Pool table for fun time. Little kids toys. Several computer stations if you want a working retreat. Games, videos, books, cable TV… literally all the things! Outside BBQ, propane fire pit to sit outside cozy, great grass yard for kids to play. When my younger grandkids came over, cribs in rooms to have them nap! The owner was easy to communicate with. I look forward to staying again!! Thanks!!!

Wedding Stay

Family Reunion/Celebration
The property was ideal for our family to come together after two years of not seeing each other. It is very well maintained with large windows so the natural light streams in and beautiful scenic views. It has several open spaces both inside and outside for gatherings and has a very well-stocked kitchen for preparing meals and a large BBQ for grilling. Nights were ideal outside by the firepits. The owner, Mike was very attentive and wonderful with answering questions and accommodating our requests. Our stay was right after the fires and he was very helpful with updates on the area. Highly recommend it as a lovely retreat for family gatherings.

Family Vacation
Mike is a great host. He responded to our questions quickly. We like the location of the house since it is in the middle of nowhere and we want to get away from the city. We were able to enjoy the beautiful view from the backyard. Unfortunately, there was still fire in the area so we could not relax and barbeque in the backyard. The house is well-kept and very clean. We feel like we are in our own home. The house is fully stock with household supplies so we do not need to buy anything extra since the town is about 20 minutes drive. I definitely will be back here if we decide to have another family reunion. I like the house since there are plenty of bathrooms so we do not have to wait for our turn. The kitchen has plenty of pots, utensils, forks, knives, etc so we don't even using our own that we brought with us.

Mike the property manager is excellent with communication The house has everything. Games and toys for the kids To great music in the Stereo. Very comfortable and you will feel like you are Home Draw backs are Any shopping is 18 min away. And large supermarket would be 30 min away Had a great time and worth every dollar Matteo

Glad we could make you feel comfortable and at home for your long weekend! It is a bit of a drive into Gardnerville, South Lake Tahoe, and Markleeville, but that distance does allow us to offer all that space and those 360 degree views. :-)

Beautiful location of Home & clean and well kept home!
This was a pleasant surprise and stay for us as a family away from all the city noises and lights. Even though it’s far from South Lake Tahoe, there are other options like Grover hot springs and hikes near by. Unfortunately most of the places around were closed due to Fires. Home is very clean spacious and well kept. The owner Mike was prompt in responding to any questions we had. Overall it’s a good experience and stay here. We will definitely come back again! Thanks Mike!

We're happy you enjoyed your stay and our quiet location! We do love having the extra space around the house while still being within striking distance of Lake Tahoe. It has been a tougher than usual summer for fires in the area. One benefit of our home being on a mesa we usually have somewhat of a breeze to keep the air quality ratings at our home higher than in the nearby valley and basin areas.

Wonderful home
Gorgeous home, that is well stocked and immaculately clean. Plenty of space to relax, play games and cook. The owner is extremely responsive and took all measures to ensure every inquiry we had was addressed promptly to optimize our stay. Thank you, Mike and we hope to be back another time!

Great place to stay!
This will be the fourth time I have stayed in this home, and it never disappoints. The house and location are beautiful, and the owner is very responsive to any issues that may arise (which is a rarity). Could not ask for a better place to stay. It is my family's go-to for this area. You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful and peaceful getaway.
This is a beautiful home that is located in a spectacular spot. It is quite far from Tahoe if that is where you want to spend most of your time. But it is a destination in and of itself. The home is set in wonderfully perfect surroundings that is just what we were looking for to get away from it all. It is peaceful and laidback. This home was the cleanest rental I have been to. The place was spotless and the hosts had paid attention to the smallest detail. From a well stocked kitchen to comfortable mattresses, this home was perfect. The host was proactive and detailed in his communication and we had no trouble with the check in or check out process. We would certainly head here again.

Great property, but the “hot tub” is a jacuzzi bath tub
When our family wanted to get away for a few days for spring break, our search criteria was 4 bedrooms and a hot tub. We love Alpine County and this house seemed perfect! The location is remote enough to feel like you are away from it all, but sits between outdoor recreation in one direction and Minden/Gardnerville/Carson City amenities in the other. Our initial disappointment upon arrival when we realized the property did not have a traditional hot tub, but rather a jacuzzi bath tub in the master bedroom, soon dissipated with a few rounds of pool and a beautiful view of the Sierra. This custom built home with a well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, luxury linens, big back yard and lack of near-by neighbors made our trip better than expected. It will not disappoint (unless you are expecting a hot tub that a family of 5 can sit in together). We even woke to snow one morning, but the home remained toasty warm, thanks to automated hvac in addition to the gas fireplace in the main room and master bedroom.

I had to double-check after your review to make sure I hadn't checked the wrong check box on amenities, and...Yep, I had meant to click on the jetted tub check-box and not the spa whirlpool checkbox, sorry about that! I've corrected that mistake in the online listing now. I always strive to be very upfront about what the house is good for and what it wasn't. Glad you guys still had a great time and got a little coating of snow out there as well for the last little hint of winter!

The home was beautiful and had every amenity you could possibly need. The surrounding area was amazing, ranging from desert to forest, to mountains. And the property is very close to shopping in Gardnerville and Minden. Perfect vacation getaway.

Amazing safe haven during our evacuation and covid.
Beautiful remote property. We were evacuated from wildfires and found this place last minute. Because of the pandemic we wanted to be far from neighbors and people we don't know. This was perfect. The owner was incredibly helpful and the house is very well thought out. You can tell that the owner's take great care in all of the details and actually use it themselves and notice all of the little things that often go unnoticed if the owner never visits themselves. All of the bedrooms have both shades and curtains that actually keep the light out! Driving from California we wondered where we were going but once there you can easily get to stores in the other direction. It is peaceful and quiet and 3 to 6 bunnies visited the backyard every evening. There is even a purple air air quality sensor on the house which is so helpful during these times. All in all we definitely want to return and are so grateful for the way the owners went above and beyond for us.

You will NOT regret this home
How can I start? This is my first time using this app, and I honestly was a little skeptical overall. The owner of this property is on it with everything and made sure from the beginning till we left that everything went well. Location: It seems away from everything but it is not it is literally 30 min or less from Lake Tahoe. House: This house is BEYOND beautiful, pictures do NOT do justice. The king suite is HUGE and is in the other side of the house. I loved everything about this place. Outside, their back yard is HUGE and beautiful. COVID CLEAN: BEYONG! They even gave us hansantizers and masks for free! The housekeeper cleaned everything so nicely ( we got to meet her) it was beyond clean. Family: It is a VERY family home, it has two cribs! and utensils and even a grill and a fireplace in the back! PS. we WILL definitely be coming back next summer!

Perfect place to stay!
My friends and I came across this house since we were planning on visiting Lake Tahoe. This house is perfect and not to far from the lake only a 30 minute drive. The house was very clean and has more than enough room for multiple family or friends to stay at with amazing views of the mountains! The owner is very friendly and was able to answer all my questions about the area! Will definitely be back!

Lovely!
Lovely home, lovely setting, lovely stay. This home is well situated for exploring the area, as well as for rest and relaxation without going beyond the driveway. The house is well so well equipped we had everything we needed to feel right at home. With so much room to spread out, our group of 8 was very comfortable. So pleased that this property was available for our annual event.

Warm, relaxing and inviting vacation home.
This is the second time that we have rented this Mesa Vista house. It is one of our favorite places to visit! The home is perfect for multiple families or generations as it has a master suite and a junior suite along with kids rooms and tons of baby items and children’s toys. The kitchen is wonderful to cook in and is well stocked. Both times we have visited in the snow and our kids have loved exploring the property and making snowmen and snow forts. The house is cozy and inviting. The area is rural but with conveniences close by. It’s the perfect relaxing getaway! Can’t wait to come back!

Winter Getaway
My family of five spent four winter days here and had a wonderful time. The house is remote (which is what we wanted!), but groceries and amenities are not far away. We hiked through the snow, went sledding, and enjoyed many hours just hanging around the house. The house is very well equipped, comfortable, warm, welcoming, and well-kept. There was even a Christmas Tree which made the kids very happy. Thank you for letting us into your home for our winter holiday!

Perfect luxury upscale home that we shared with my family on Thanksgiving. Highly recommend a stay.
The pictures do not do this home justice. Fabulous kitchen, dining room and living room that are much bigger than they look. Great views and Michael did everything right to make our stay just right. I would return again for sure. Very clean and all the amenities are upgraded. The house was decorated for Xmas with automated lights. Huge garage and extra storage and refrigerator. Easily sleeps 10 and is very kid friendly with lots of cribs. Kitchen is large and has everything you need. We did Thanksgiving turkey and lacked nothing. Vaulted ceilings add space and a very comfortable and homey feeling. Easily handled our group in the large kitchen. Master is way bigger than the pictures show. Space heaters and humidifiers add a nice touch along with the multiple fireplaces. The views of the mountains and the Carson Valley are breathtaking. This is five star all day long and the owner did a great job of communicating. There is usually something to complain about but not here. This is the perfect family retreat. The trip to Gardnerville for shopping is a short 20 minutes and was a breeze.

Lovely Home and Location
Wow, what a great home! The house was spacious and comfortable, and I really can't say enough about the amazing views from both the front and back yards. We loved the morning and evening visits from the rabbits in the backyard. The kitchen was well stocked. We had everything we needed. The home is easy to get to and is well situated for accessing Hope Valley and South Lake Tahoe. Michael was very helpful both before and during our stay and was quick to respond when we had questions.

Great getaway
We had a wonderful experience staying at this home. My wife and I were traveling with our parents, and it is very hard to find places without a lot of stairs. This home was easy for them to get around. There was lots of room, so everyone had their own space to relax in. We were able to make our breakfasts and dinners effortlessly in the spacious kitchen. The living room is large and comfortable. Mike kept us well informed through text messages and emails. We loved not having neighbors two feet away like most rentals have, and the views were awesome. We did day trips to the Hellman-Ehrman Manison, Donner Pass, Virginia City, and Carson City. We will definitely keep this place in mind the next time we visit the area.

A perfect home for family and friends.
Beautiful home with a very comfortable feeling. The home has everything needed for a wonderful stay in Alpine County. Setting is outstanding with views of mountains on one side of the house and the Carson Valley on the other side. Large yard with room for outside activities including patio furniture . Bedrooms are spaced apart for privacy and places to get away in the house if you want quiet time. I highly recommend this place.
