Bonito hotel, dentro del mercado de las especias
Cuando llegamos, de noche, salió a buscarnos un chico a la plaza donde nos dejó el taxi. Le seguimos por unos largos corredores, llenos de tiendecitas ya cerradas, con intenso olor a especias, hasta llegar a una pequeña puerta de madera tras la que se encontraba nuestro refugio. La casa en sí es muy bonita, de tres pisos,con un patio en la planta baja con una piscinita central, con una fuente en un extremos llena de pétalos de rosa y hermosas columnas flanqueándola, que conforman una estancia acogedora y relajante. Pasamos tres días muy gratos, en una hermosísima suite, con un servicio excelente y muy acogedor. Bonitos detalles tales como rosas en el baño, que cambiaban todos los días y dátiles y naranjas en la habitación. Buen desayuno todas las mañanas, elegantemente servido. Muy eficiente también la señora que trabaja en el hamman. Repetiremos seguro.

El riad es una maravilla, es precioso, bien ubicado y limpio. La habitación un pelín estrecha, en el baño no hay buena luz y en la ducha no sale mucha cantidad de agua. Creo q el precio está por encima de la media.

Excelente servicio y buena localización
Personal muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar con todo. El riad está algo escondido, pero al llegar salen a buscarte donde te deje el transporte, y el primer día te acompañan para llegar a la plaza jeena el fna. Desayuno abundante y variado.

This review is long overdue! We stayed at Riad Azoulay while in Marrakech last November. Our stay at Riad Azoulay ended up being one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco. Looking back, I wish it had come at the end of our trip instead of the beginning because it was the absolute best place we stayed the entire trip and set the bar almost too high for everywhere else. The Riad and rooms were beautiful, the food was delicious (and very plentiful), but most of all, the staff were all AMAZING. They were all very personable and helpful and patient and we felt almost like we got to know them over the days we stayed. In contrast to our Riad in Fes, which felt more like a hotel, we felt we got a true “Riad” experience here. Additionally, we found the location ideal. We were quite happy to not be in the middle of the main Medina. Instead we were in the spice market which was quieter. We could easily walk to everything and felt very safe even walking at night as there were always lots of people about. If you’ve never been Marrakech, the first time is an experience - we were completely overwhelmed with taking everything in! And trust me on this - I do recommend getting the transport from your train or airport thru the Riad. Everything was seamless and easy - and I can imagine you might have some difficulty finding the Riad, tucked in to a side alley of the spice market, the first time. And let’s just say you get the full experience when they meet you and walk you thru the mark

Absolutely amazing staff, easy check in and beyond accommodating! We forgot the toothpaste in the car which was parked a few minutes walk away. They were so kind to quickly run buy us a tube without us having to go back out. It is the littlest things that are done that make the journey complete. It is a beautiful property, the staff goes over the top to make sure you have a pleasurable stay. It was a pleasant surprise that breakfast was included in our booking. Wish we had more time to stay here. It will forever be a highlight during our time in Maroc. My only wish is everyone finds this space and gets to share in the experience.

렌트카를 이용해서 숙소를 찾는데 어려움은 있었지만 시장길과 좁은 골목길에 있는 전통 리야드로 직원분들 모두 친절합니다. 스위트에 있었는데 매우 편안하고 청결했습니다. 주차는 좀 불편하나 리야드라는 점 고려하면 문제되지 않습니다. 도보로 관광하기 매우 좋습니다

Hidden Paradise in the Medina
Everything was perfect chez Azoulay. The owner's warmth, artistic design sense, graciousness is evident in every detail. I treated myself to the royal suite and it was wonderful. Each corner of the spacious apt was well-designed and totally comfortable. The warm staff made me feel at home as a single woman "of a certain age." If you have time, the massage and hammam were so relaxing after a day in the medina. I also took a cooking class with the hotel chef that was a chance to connect in a personal way. Everything went so smoothly, highly recommended!

Wonderful riad in Marrakech!
We absolutely loved our stay at this riad for part of our honeymoon. It’s truly a little slice of paradise amongst the noisy, busy craziness that is Marrakech. The riad is not large and has a pretty open concept with the courtyard and pool being in the middle. That’s probably our only complaint; the noise factor. The hotel plays music starting in the morning until around 10pm, there’s a mosque feet away that will have calls to prayer going at a very early hour and anything you say or do outside your room will be heard by all guests. With that being said, it’s staff were all so friendly, accommodating and helpful. From the moment we checked in and were treated to the traditional mint tea service, to the delicious breakfasts to helping us arrange for rides to the train station etc. Our room was beautiful and clean with comfortable beds. Be aware that this hotel is more like a B&B. There are no tv’s in the rooms. The safe uses an actual key. And there are no locks on the rooms aside from a latch, unless you ask for one. It’s definitely like staying in someone’s home. The Riad even serves home cooked dinners nightly which we tried one evening. The food was so delicious! And the service and attention top notch. Just a wonderful experience overall!

Unmatched hospitality and accommodations
We had an absolutely amazing experience. It was wonderful from decor, cleanliness, ambience, food and hospitality Breakfasts and Dinner were amazing and quite gourmet. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly as well as helpful. It felt like a home away from home. We loved our stay and will definitely go back. Absolutely recommend this place.

Lieu magnifique avec un personnel agréable et bienveillant. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et bon. Une très belle experience pour une première fois dans un riad. Le parking est situé à environ à 5 minutes à pieds ce qui est pratique pour stationné.

This Riad is beautiful. A gem in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the market. Centrally located, it is a great place to stay if it's your first time visiting Marrakech. The Riad serves delicious breakfast and made to order dinner. The staff was the greatest! So attentive, polite, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this Riad.

Great stay. An oasis from the hustle of Marakech. I only stayed in one other Moroccan Riad and I can easily say Azoulay was far and above better! Couple notes: The dinner is expensive, but is worth it for at least one or two nights. Try it. The staff are caring and attentive and there is always at least one person on duty who can speak English. I was feeling nauseous as I was checking out and the shift leader made sure to make me a tea to help with it. Keep up the good work and thanks for the kindness.

Only downside is the location Location didn’t feel safe It is in old Marrakesh Walking at night felt very unsafe with cat callers but one staff member walked us to get a taxi on one occasion. He was very nice. The manager refused to allow a staff member permission to collect someone because “transfers were not booked with the riad”. Based on the location of the riad (in the middle of a market), this should be considered in the future. All other stuff members were pleasant.

Dear Guests, Thanks for your feedback. We have sent you several emails regarding the possibility of organizing the pick up from the airport or at least of knowing your arrival time at the Riad and dinner with us on the first evening. No reply. The only thing you mentioned was about one of you 's birthday. We have also prepared a small gift for you and you left it in the suite upon check out. As you can see in the reviews left by the other guests we are always very helpful in helping to reach the Riad even if the pick up has not been organized by us. It all depends on the way things are asked. 90% of the Riad are located in the old part of the city and you cannot get here by car. The all Medina is a souq market and this is the charm of the city and the Riad. Regards from Marrakech Riad Azoulay Marrakech

Die Freundlichkeit, Aufmerksamkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft in unserem Riad war wirklich herausragend. Uns wurde von der Ankunft bis zum Abflug im Riad mit Rat und Tat zur Seite gestanden. Wir hatten nie das Gefühl wir sind nur auf uns gestellt, auch Dank des Notfalltelefons, das wir aber glücklicherweise nie benötigten. Wir bekamen ein kostenloses upgrade aufgrund meines Geburtstages, was natürlich sehr aufmerksam war und wir unsere Ruhe in der Suite, nachdem Trubel der Medina sehr genossen haben. Das Personal war äusserst nett, und auch beim Frühstück wurden wir täglich gefragt, ob wir ein Omelette wünschten. Sinnvoll wäre es wahrscheinlich einen Transfer mit dem Hotel zu selbst zu organisieren. Wir hatten Flug und Transfer schon zu einem früheren Zeitpunkt gebucht, was dann doch mehr Hilfe des Riads beanspruchte, da das Riad doch bei Ankunft in der Nacht ohne direkte Abholung zu einem Problem geworden wäre. Da das Riad zu beginn nur sehr schwierig zu finden gewesen wäre, und man sich um eine gewisse Uhrzeit doch sicherer mit Einheimischen fühlt. Aber es hat tatsächlich alles wunderbar funktioniert und hinterher am Tage kennt man auch recht schnell die richtigen Wege. Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag wunderbar für uns gereinigt und die Heizung im Zimmer, bei den doch nächtlich kalten Temperaturen im Januar, war doch sehr wichtig. Wir danken dem Riad noch für Hilfe und denken noch sehr gerne an die Zeit zurück.

Chaque moment passé au Riad Azoulay est un vrai bonheur. Tout est parfait, le cadre, le service, les prestations et aussi le calme si recherché après des journées de balades dans les rues agitées de Marrakech. Massisimilienso et toute son équipe sont à vos soins pour que votre séjour soit inoubliable. Nous sommes venus en novembre, nous avons pu encore profiter de la terrasse et des transats pour faire un bain de soleil avant de rentrer dans la grisaille du nord de la France. Nous aurons beaucoup de souvenirs ; entre autres, la compagnie de Abdoula au marché pour préparer le cours de cuisine dispensé par Safa (dont la cuisine est remarquable et n’a pas à rougir de restaurants parfois bien notés). Sans oublier les massages, les petits déjeuners copieux, les nombreux livres à disposition etc ... Rien ne vaut le bouche à oreille, nous recommandons vivement ce Riad.

geschmackvoll renoviertes Riad im jüdischen Viertel der Medina. geräumige, aber baubedingt etwas dunkle Zimmer. wunderschöner Innenhof und geräumige Dachterrasse mit Fernblick bis zur Koutoubia-Moschee, sehr gutes WLAN, variantenreiches Frühstück, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal (es gibt sogar ein Notfalls-Handy, falls man sich in den Souks verlaufen sollte), problemloser Flughafentransfer (gleich dazu buchen)

Fantastisk!
Virkelig fantastisk Riad midt i det jødiske kvarter. Personalet var meget imødekommende, smilende og vi følte os virkelig godt tilpas. Vi spiste aftensmad på tag terrassen - hele 2 gange- yderst velsmagende og på alle måder en stor kulinarisk oplevelse. Det skal prøves. Boede med 3 børn i Royal suite hvilket også var en stor oplevelse for os alle - stor suite og meget smukt indrettet med mange detaljer. Helt igennem et fantastisk sted med et dedikeret personale der fortjener de bedste anbefalinger.

The best hotel we've stayed in Morocco. Nice, clean hotel. Staff are very friendly and breakfast is yummy. Location is good but dun walk alone at night in Medina especially for women.

Good, once the aircon was fixed
Pleasant place to stay on the edges of the Medina. We had dinner one night - very good food and service. Manage expectations - it isn't quite as luxurious as advertised. The swimming pool is more water feature than usable pool (we didn't see anyone in it in 3 nights there. )There are no locks on the room doors - there is a safe in the room. Our only real issue was that the air conditioning was broken when we arrived. All they could offer was a fan - we had a very warm night. The next day we asked again and they (reluctantly) got someone out who fixed it. That aside, I'd recommend it as a place to stay.

Dear Oliver, First at all, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your meals and the services at Riad Azoulay. We are sorry, however, that you did not appreciate our plunge pool, which, at 16 feet by 6 foot , is very generous for a riad in the Medina. It is often used and enjoyed by young families and couples, but it is not obligatory. You arrived on one of the hottest nights of the year and we are sorry that the a/c was not sufficient. We supplied a fan for the night, and the a/c was fixed the next morning. We did what we could as quickly as possible. This is not a luxury hotel but an authentic traditional riad, where we have tried to create ans oasis of calm and peace. Keys to the rooms are availables upon request. Sincerely, Massimiliano

Riad Azoulay is an incredible oasis in a perfect location. It is steps away from Bahia Palace, and a short walk to many historical sites. It is located within the spice market, which makes for convenient shopping. The Riad itself is breathtaking and the breakfast was delicious each morning. The staff goes above and beyond to help you with anything you need. Do yourself a favor and stay here.
