Det var bra å være tilbake på Maun lodge 5 år etter første besøk! Rommene med utsikt over elven er det man må velge. Supert med stoler utenfor rommene til å nyte utsikten oppover og nedover elven, og lytte til alle lydene- fugler og av of til flodhester. Dette kan best nytes i de kjøligere morgentimer og ved en vakker solnedgang på sen ettermiddag/kveld. Det er deilig å kunne trekke inn på rommet å skru på air conditioner etter hvert. det blir ofte 38-40 C ute. Nytt for meg denne gangen var det utmerkede utvalget av TV kanaler fra Dsvt

Stayed one night in transit on our way home after a fly in safari in Ogavanga Delta. The hotel is safe but dated including older bathrooms. Nothing special but not sure there’s anything better in Maun

Great Lodge with Elevated Observation Deck
I stayed at the lodge before and after my safari in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. This is a beautiful lodge with an excellent restaurant. The breakfast buffet spread is tempting, and a must try is their ox tongue (if available). Their dinner buffet is excellent as well. For the meat lover, they serve roasted goat and grilled beef during dinner. Beer selection is adequate. Hotel service is great and responsive. Luggage could be stored at the lodge whilst you are on a safari. Lodge security is excellent. - it is walled-in with electrified cables atop. Rooms are provided with a dead bolt and a safe. There is an elevated viewing deck adjacent to the restaurant that overlooks the Thamalakane River. It is great for a sun-downer. I spent sometime on the deck during my last evening, and at a distance you could view ducks in flight with a setting sun as the background. I took several photos with my long lens. There is a bar on the elevated viewing deck. Unlike a previous review from another guest, I do find the rooms to be quiet for a good nights' sleep. The rooms are about 125 ft. to 150 ft. from the main road. A tour desk is present, though, I did not use that service. Room and shuttle service are excellent. There is not much activity (from a tourist viewpoint) nearby. A short taxi ride would take you to downtown. The return taxi fare was inexpensive - costing me about USD2.50. I am happy with my stay and would return if my travels take me through Maun.

Good quality motel type hotel.
Pick up at airport was late. Not put in the room as booked. Otherwise lodge was fine. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would go back.

The hotel is decent, but the rooms are a bit small and dated. The food served could be much better, and there is a need for more options to justify the amount of money paid.

staff is useless
Facilities are quiet used and rooms are a bit old. Staff is unfriendly and when you book with expedia and pay here they will tell you when you check out that's it's not paid then argue for 30 min to then say they will discuss with Expedia. Airportshuttle worked well to come but not good to leave as the driver didn't show up for 15/20 min. can't recommend staying here.

The room was quite more expensive than usual, with no real plus. It was on the road side, with noise until late. Running water was brownish, not possible to take a shower. TV with only five channels working.
