Anniversary trip

The house was adequate and what we expected in some ways. When making this reservation I asked if they could do anything special for our anniversary there was never a response given. We assumed they probably did not have that ability. However two things that concern us, One was the fireplace. My wife wanted a vacation where we had a fireplace. When arrival we find out the fireplace was not in working order. To be honest if we knew this up front we would have never Stayed here because it was not what we wanted. Second we could not get the furnace to go over 68 degrees. This is probably fine for most Americans.But my wife and myself prefer our home warmer. We improvised by turning the oven on until the cottage was at a temperature, we were okay with, then shut it off for the night as not to cause any danger to the property. Lastly, the price was a little higher than we expected.Even though it had cleaning fees we had to do most of the cleaning. We would stay in this area again but probably not at this location.

Medicine Park getaway

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. Almost nothing is open in Medicine Park Monday through Wednesday, but it means the trails and lakes are also quiet, and we enjoy that. The cabin is beautifully situated and very private for something within easy walking distance of downtown. We hiked the narrows, watched the sunset from Mt. Scott, mountain biked the fire road just two miles from the cottage, and kayaked. The weather was perfect and the bed at night was extremely comfortable. Overall a great experience. I would definitely stay here again.

Privately…we saw baby scorpions! Time of year for them but nevertheless frightening! Dispensers in shower were empty and floors were dirty. This hasn’t happened before so please know I’m just giving feedback.

Wow!

This small house is amazing! So many lighting options and electrical outlets. Everything you need is provided. Just pack your clothes and food. Hiking and biking are within minutes. The unique town is a block away. Fishing is minutes away. Bison roam just a few miles up the road!

Perfect for romantic getaway

I gifted my adult daughter and her boyfriend a long weekend getaway, and she said the cabin was absolutely perfect for them. Clean and well stocked with everything they needed. Cozy and comfortable, with very lovely setting and nice outdoor space as well. Close enough to all activities and attractions but private enough to feel like you’re tucked away somewhere special.

Amazing Nature Getaway

This was the perfect little cabin for my nature and photography visit to Medicine Park. Matt was super helpful any time I needed something and even gave me suggestions for hikes to do. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in town.

My teen boys and I enjoyed our stay. It’s a small cabin but was just the right size for the three of us. It was well stocked with everything we needed and in a great location to all of the Medicine Park venues.
