Great location
Good stay, very tidy and spacious (though older style) room. Comfortable bed, large bathroom. Off street parking behind the hotel. Excellent location, close to train station and tram stop, loads of restaurants and cafes. A little noisy as we were on the first floor and Saturday night. Would stay again.

Great location to shops. Parking tight, free but limited. Room was a good size, bed was very comfortable. Older hotel and facilities. Our room had a leaking tap and very noisy mini fridge.

Very noisy, you could hear people walking I. The rooms above us and very noisy in the street . The drink glasses on the table as you walked into the room had a fine layer of dust on them. The bed was rather hard and not pleasant to sleep on. A lot of cosmetic work could be done to improve the overall appearance of the bathroom. On an upside the spa was super big and nice to be in.

The room was perfect for us. It is in a great location but being one floor up from the pub was extremely noisy, making it hard to sleep. The hotel offers car parking, however there was none when i arrived. Its hardly a car park and should be worded differently in the details. Prepare to park elsewhere. The room is basic but was fine for what we needed. I just probably wouldnt stay again due to the noise.

Whilst we understand that the noise can be a bit of an issue, we are ultimately a busy food and beverage venue in the heart of Hawthorn - especially on the weekends. Upon request, we are always happy to accommodate our guests who are sensitive to such noise by moving them to the top floor. As for the parking, our website clearly states that parking is subject to availability. It is quite unfortunate that we house such a small car park for the amount of guests we accommodate, but we do try our best.We hope that you reconsider and stay with us again in the future.

don't expect much sleep
The hotel is pretty clean and a competitive price, but it is way too noisy. The pub and foyer downstairs play loud music until late at night. Their insistence on taking copies of credit cards and id is also a major identity theft risk.

Hi Stephen,We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the cleanliness and price of our hotel rooms.Unfortunately, noise is an unavoidable consequence of being a busy food and beverage venue in the heart of Hawthorn.Where possible and upon request, we are more than happy to move guests who are sensitive to the noise to our top floor.It is a condition of staying at our hotel that a copy of your identification and credit card information is taken upon check in for security purposes. This information is correctly disposed of following your departure so long you are not in breach of the booking agreement form signed on your arrival. We apologise for the misunderstanding, and hope that you reconsider and stay with us again.

I stayed again to work on the weekend teaching university classes. It was easy to get the sleep I needed to wake up perky. The spa bath with the rainfall shower head was really good for relaxing. The bed was one of the more comfortable ones I have slept in at a hotel. The pillows were divine too. The recent upgrade of rooms was historically subtle but very effective in terms of providing more comfort and a sense of luxury.

This is an extremel pleasant, historic hotel that is in a good location. I like the spa bath in the room and the food in the restaurant downstairs, which you can have brought up via room service is very good.
