Work peeps get-away!
We wanted to experience a tiny house, and this one was a great one! Comfortable room enough for four people. Too bad it was too cold to enjoy the porch and fire pit. Thank you for a great overnight stay. 😃

Absolutely Amazing
I can't say enough about this cute little cabin in the mountains. I had never been to Mentone even though i only live about an hour away. This little place right on the river once you walk down the hill. The little bench by the bank very nice to sit out by river at night or during the day. The extra little thought that they put into making tour stay feel like home is really what did it for me. I can't wait to go back again soon.

Wonderful trip, cute small house
The tiny "cabin" was delightful. It was cozy and fun to explore. We enjoyed the porch and cool night we stayed. Everything was very clean and tidy. The lighted trail to the creek was nicely done. The location is close enough to the state park to be a comfortable trip there and back for any light hikes.

Excellent experience!
The cutest little house in a beautiful location! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. The cabin is very well quipped with plenty of supplies for cooking, cleaning, and entertainment. It was very clean when we arrived. The owners are easy to communicate with and pleasant. It is also pet friendly so we were able to bring our furry baby! We will definitely be back here in the future :)

Fun for Family, but Stinky Outside
We had a great time at this property. Our kids loved the loft. All of the little extra touches were much appreciated- toys in the loft, lots of extra blankets, games to play, fire pit and wood, etc. The main negative was the outdoor smell. It was horrible! We couldn’t figure out if it was the neighbor’s chickens or some sewage, but it was really really awful. Something really needs to be done about that. Also, the “river” in the back yard was a tiny stagnant strip of water, and the curvy road was pretty busy. The neighbor’s rooster started crowing at about 3 am. Our kids did ask to stay here again— so that’s a good sign! There are two more tiny houses in the same area. It would be fun for three families to rent them together— if something can be done about the smell!

Sweet Little House
I enjoyed the property so much that I stayed here twice this past summer! The porch was my favorite area to hang out in the evening, as there were fireflies all around. The home is cozy. I really enjoyed listening to Al Jolson and Lawerence Welk on the record player. There is an individual thermostat in the bedroom, which is perfect for those who like to freeze at night. The location is perfect for those visiting Mentone, as the drive to the restaurants and Desoto State Park were short. My only suggestion is for the kayaks to be placed near the water where they can be accessible. They were weirdly positioned under the porch steps at the edge of the slope, making it risky to try to pull them out, as there was not much room to stabilize yourself for balance.

Meticulous Hospitality
This property is as pictured: a cozy, tidy, lovely little jewel of a tiny house. What the pictures don't show is how much attention the owners have put into their guests' comfort: all the dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils we needed were there; plenty of extra towels and linens, clearly labelled; lots of GOOD board games, movies, even children's books; and that's just what I can recall off the top of my head. It was like being welcomed by thoughtful hosts who have already provided everything you could think of before you asked. 5 stars aren't enough stars!

The house was perfect for our one night stay in Mentone. The property was just as described in the listing and we felt right at home. I do suggest bringing a sound machine if you’re a light sleeper due to the house being so close to the street and the rooster across the street who started crowing at 4:30am. Overall, it was great!

Girls Trip
We loved our first tiny home experience! The place was clean, cozy and just right for what we needed for our girls trip. We will be back! Side note: the only part I wish we had while staying was more or maybe more comfortable outdoor seating on the deck to enjoy the mornings/evenings. The chairs that are there are fine and get the job done but some more comfy ones would have made it even better.

Exceeded expectations!
Cozy tiny home with all the amenities, plus some. The home was exactly as pictured. The kids enjoyed the loft area, which had a few toys and books. The kitchen was stocked with all the basic utensils and cookware. Lots of linens for bathroom and kitchen. Great water pressure in the shower. Definitely recommend, and will be looking for other tiny homes to stay in for future trips!

Perfect getaway
My son and I have never stayed in a “tiny home” nor had we visited Mentone. I had many questions before we left. The renters were so very friendly answering all my questions. The home was so clean and beautiful! The renters had everything we needed to make our trip awesome…all kitchen cookware, towels, movies and games, and the most comfy blankets ever! I recommend this listing and highly recommend renting from these renters!! Thank you for letting us enjoy your home!

Cozy space, even in the arctic blast of Christmas ‘22!
The property was well appointed for everything imaginable…all linens down to playing cards….kitchen particularly well provided. Very clean. My only disappointment was that it was too cold to enjoy a fire outdoors. Looking forward to coming back in warmer weather…the area is full of so many things to do!

Tiny Home with Treehouse Vibes
Adorable tiny home that’s not-so-tiny. Very clean and cozy! Loved the deck and enjoyed tea in the morning with sun shining through the trees. A little off the beaten path but not entirely secluded. Explored nearby waterfalls and hiking at DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon National Preserve. Wish I could’ve stayed more than one day!

Tiny House on Little River
We liked the beauty & serenity of this property. While the house was overall clean there was spilled liquid in the freezer that we had to clean in order to use the freezer. The outside garbage can was over flowing with garbage on the ground. We notified the owner but never heard back from them. There was also a dryer full of towels. We did enjoy our stay in spite of these issues.

Wonderful stay
We booked last minute passing through to pick up son from camp. I accidentally booked wrong date but Seth was very flexible with us changing date and having it super clean last minute. They had great internet for my teen and a nice short hike to river and back. They were organized and had everything we needed there. Staying in a “tiny house” was definitely just what we needed. Thank you Seth for being accommodating and easy to work with!! We will be back

Peaceful and serene
We had a wonderful time exploring all the waterfalls and amazing hiking areas in and near mentone. The owners have gone above and beyond to add extra comforts to make the stay extra fun. Our three year old did not want to leave. Thank you very much for sharing your tiny home with us.

Great place!
We chose this place for the location on the river and the other sweet locations nearby that Alabama and Georgia had to offer. This was our treat to ourselves for our 30th anniversary and we had a blast! While being a tiny house it really didn’t feel like one. Honestly. The shower is literally bigger than the one we have at home! That being said, the accommodations were great. Everything you would need is provided, and then more. We took the trails down to the river, and yes, they are a bit steep, so wear grippy shoes, but it was worth it. The trail to the left has chairs to make fishing easier. The one to the right be careful where you step. We really enjoyed the hiking, fishing, exploring at the nearby surrounding locations. Desoto falls, Little River Canyon, Cloudland state park (ga) and enjoyed a delish! meal at Canyon Grill on the way out. Went shopping/exploring the local craft places in Mentone. Everyone so friendly. Had lunch at the Mentone Market - yums! This little house is right in the middle of everything(if you can drive just a little bit) but perfectly located to be secluded if you want that. Very comfy. Oh , and if you want to get a lottery ticket it’s 3 min away.! Love this place and the hosts are awesome!

This property was adorable and very well stocked. You are definitely unplugged out there so it is important that you truly know that ahead of time. My only wish was that it had been clear cut so you could see the river and could get to it easily for fishing. But maybe this will be a future improvement!

Retirement / anniversary trip

Peace with nature
My wife and I found this property to be so peaceful. The accommodations were so thoughtful and we absolutely loved the porch to watch the river. I will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape the city. Cell phones don’t work here and that is exactly what I wanted to disconnect and enjoy nature.
