Considero que la actitud del personal deja mucho de que hablar. Cuando les dices que no hablas inglés se molestan y muchas veces te hacen sentir ignorado. Así que independientemente de las instalaciones la actitud de la gente es lo mas importante.

Idilico, tranquilo y lujoso.
Un hotel fantastico. El complejo hotelero es muy grande, incluye varios hoteles, restaurantes, tiendas, bares piscinas y playas. La playa es de arena fina y agua cristalina, con un bonito arrecife cercano para hacer snorkel. El ambiente es muy tranquilo y relajante. Las habitaciones preferred tienen un jacuzzi doble exterior y permiten acceso a los clubs preferred con comida y bebida todo el día. El servicio es estupendo. Deberían mejorar la comida de los restaurantes, no es mala pero podría ser mejor, y la oferta de marcas de cerveza. En general una experiencia fantastica, hotel muy recomendable.

High level all-inclusive
All inclusive, adults only, high standard, beautiful gardens and beaches-pools areas. Rooms with terrace, our room had partly sea view upon request. Service at high level, very friendly people. Good restaurants and bar area, food at acceptable level considering this is an all-inclusive resort. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. Beware the airport and transport system may be close to collapse at peak hour, especially if rain. Do make a transport booking upfront.

Friendly staff and nice hotel but...
Needs maintenance, the hotel is old or not well maintained, the bathroom has mold and is kind of rust. The experience in general was great, great staff, great food just needed more variety of desserts (repeated everyday in the buffet), great entertainment team, we could rest a lot but every morning I could hear a lot of noise in the hallway as room service staff were getting dishes and the room doesn’t have noise insulator so we can hear everything happening outside very clear and loud. Curtains need to be chaged as are broken, but tha blackout ones did their job very well. I saw some maintenance in second floor, hope this would be for all rooms in that case we would go again!

The property was quiet and relaxing. The beach was beautiful. But the food and service were not on par with other Secrets resorts I have visited. I have been to Secrets Akumal and Secrets Cap Cana. Those resorts were more modern. The food was consistently good and the service was much better. I don't know that I would return to Secrets St. James.

It is a nice location. The ocean was beautiful but limited beach area. There are small areas but can't go on a long beach walk because of rock walls or security restrictions. Food was average. Long waits for dinner.

Location and views were great, staff were very friendly and helpful specially the manager Jason who helped us a lot, it was an excellent experience staying at Secret St. James and we will certainly go back there again. The only downside was the WiFi as i had to work through my stay and the connection was not very reliable!

Our stay was great! Everything was very smooth. We upgraded to the preferred side and had a pool dedicated just to that side which was nice if you didn’t want to be around the music from the other pool. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

The resort was very nice. We stayed at the preferred side with an ocean view, and the view was really beautiful. The preferred access also allowed us to visit the breathless hotel and rooftop bar, which was also stunning. The staff were friendly, some more than others. The food options were good- buffet style breakfast and lunch and some restaurants with a preset menu for lunch and dinner. The entertainment team did a good job and it was nice to have activities during the day and evening. Despite the recent US travel ban, we felt completely safe. We also went off the resort for an excursion and didn’t feel worried. You just need to exercise usual travel precautions such as being aware of your surroundings, not being too flashy, and arranging transportation with known people.
