Great lake getaway house!
The house was wonderful, a definite 5 star house with a large open living area and plenty of sleeping spaces. Very clean and nicely decorated. Nice large gathering area in the kitchen. Everything we needed was there, all kitchen appliances and utensils etc. Fun to hang out on the deck or in the hot tub looking out over the lake . We opted to pay extra for use of the Pontoon boat provided which was fun to do leisurely trips around the lake. The only downside of the property was the many geese families often present on the back lawn with the landmine of their droppings to walk through, otherwise a full 5 star place. A suggestion would be to put fake plastic swans in the yard to keep the geese off the yard (that works by our subdivision pond). Thanks for the wonderful place and quick responses to any questions we had.

Great Stay!
My family visited for a long weekend due to my daughter’s dance competition in Fruitport. The home was clean, appeared as advertised, and had everything we needed (plenty of towels, kitchen utensils, etc). Communication from the hosts was excellent - clear, friendly, and timely. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and making s’mores on the fire pit by the lake. We’d definitely visit again!

Great House and Location
Wow! This house was beautiful. Fully stocked with necessities. Amazing view of the lake. Close to the grocery store for last minute needs. Heated floors, comfy beds. My suggestions: • giving the person who booked a heads up before calling with details. Or giving them the option for a call or a detailed message/text. It isn't always easy to answer a phone. • A bath mat in front of the shower in the 1st floor bathroom. • Quick guide to the hot tub. We hope to be back again soon!

Great Gal Time at this Lake house!
It was a wonderful ladies weekend at this lake house. Unfortunately the weather was not the best but somehow sitting in the hot tub while raining makes up for it! The house was perfect for hanging out around the long counter/island with open concept into the livingroom. The boat was great to do a chilly ride around to check out the site. The beds were super comfy and the place was very clean. Would highly recommend!

Lake Mona Experience
Rarely is a house in person as it is in pictures. This one was. Never perfect, but you always hope for new/clean and comfortable. We rented this 2-story knowing we would not be able to use the 2nd floor/stairs, due to a disability. But we found we did not need the upper floor at all. We slept in the lower bunks of 2 bunk beds and had a/c in the room. Bathroom shower was a bit hard for our use and bathroom very small, as well as some attention was needed (spiders indoors and outdoor furniture (dirty) and geese were an issue, but we used the hot tub. And large center island in kitchen - very nicely new. We were house hunting so we were not there as much as we would have liked. I would stay here again, and anyone seeking a nice house with available boat should highly consider this property.

Perfect Getaway
All of us sisters/ nieces came in to relax before my baby sister got married. We enjoyed the lake and sitting around the fire. We made breakfast, lunch, and dinner and had enough pans for everything!! Communication with the property manager was on point. Can't wait to return.

The house is beautiful and it is wonderful to be right on the lake with a boat! The outside areas are not as nice as the house and could use some really good cleaning and updates but over all the place is fabulous!

Awesome lake house
We had a terrific time at this house. Check in was a breeze and they provided the pontoon, paddle boards, and kayaks. The water was the main draw, but there’s lots to do nearby. Everyone enjoyed going to the farmers market, picking blueberries, shopping in Grand Haven, and touring a submarine and Coast Guard ship.

We loved the cleanliness and space that this property offered. The hot tub was such a wonderful addition to some chilly nights along with the fire pit. This house doesn’t have a beach but a very nice pontoon to go around the lake with plenty of places to dock and enjoy the sand. We really enjoyed our stay

Had a BLAST!
We were so SO IMPRESSED by our stay! Such amazing communication with us! The house was super cute! Decorated well, stocked, had all we needed and there was plenty to do! The pontoon boat was our all time favorite! Kids and adults enjoyed fishing, casual rides and even jumping off for a swim! This place was top notch! Perfect place to celebrate our parents 50th anniversary! Highly reccomend!

We had the most amazing time celebrating my sisters Bachelorette party! The house was perfect and was stocked with everything you could think of. Perfect Family Trip
If you’re looking for a quiet spot on the lake for all ages, this has to be it. BEAUTIFUL home. We had 7 adults: 2 young married couples, 2 divorced middle aged, and one almost 90 year old. It was the perfect spot. We caught some great fish out on the pier. Took the pontoon for a few rides. Sat in the hot tub and enjoyed the outdoor patio. Inside was a huge kitchen for cooking meals and open concept. HEATED FLOORS! The beds were comfy. We have nothing negative to say about the space. Kim-the property manager was awesome and worked with us well! We hope to return!

Great girls weekend getaway!
My 3 friends and I loved staying at the boathouse/cottage this weekend! It was very well kept and comfortable allowing us to enjoy our time together! The property manager was great also when we had to reschedule in the fall due to COVID!!

We are so glad you enjoyed the Boathouse. Winter is a great time to visit Muskegon, so much to do and see. The winter sport complex is great for ice skating and trying your skills on a real luge. Come back to the cottage and relax in our year round hot tub and enjoy the views of the lake. Come back this summer and enjoy our kayaks, paddle boards and pontoon, all included. Thank you again.

Thanksgiving memories
Great place for our family Thanksgiving. Everyone had their own space and the outdoor area had lots of different sitting areas. Nice hot tub and we actually went kayaking Thanksgiving morning. Another GREAT birthday weekend at Mona Lake!
This is our second year staying at Mona Lake for our birthday weekend. Lovely property and FABULOUS amenities. We spent most of our time paddleboarding on the lake, cruising on the boat, and relaxing in the hot tub. Kim was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Can't wait to return again next year! :)

Wonderful on-the-water Stay
Booking and check in were easy and no surprise fees. The home was well decorated and clean, many amenities and full use of the Pontoon boat. Great location for a small family reunion
We had a small family reunion at the cottage, and it was the perfect lake location. The pontoon seems like its almost new, we had a great time breezing up and down the lake and going to the small beach area on Mona Lake. Awesome Bachelor Party weekend

Our time at the rental home was amazing! Plenty of room for our family of 9. Such a beautiful relaxing spot. Kim was beyond wonderful. Great communication and assisted right away with anything we needed. Rooms were great with comfortable beds. Fishing was great, kayaking was so fun, and enjoyed making s’mores. Relaxing Family Vacation
Our family of 5 (all adults) spent an extra-long weekend over Mother's Day here. While some of the local sights don't open until Memorial Day, there was plenty to do & this house was perfect for us to spread out & have plenty of space. Beautiful remodel Lake House
This was our second stay at this wonderful lake house. It had been remodeled since our last visit and is even more beautiful and comfortable. The Owners and Kim are very easy to work with and accommodating. This house was our grandparents home when we were young so we enjoy creating more memories on Mona lake. With 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, it’s perfect for large or small groups. Very relaxing . We are already booked for our third visit. Highly recommend !

Great property with kayaks, bonfire pit and the hot tub was the best. The only suggestion I would make is to have instructions written out in a binder for what is expected at check out as far as cleaning up, stripping beds, etc. We also had trouble locking the front door from the outside (it was simple after we got instructions) but keeping a binder with all instructions would alleviate leaving something out.

Amazing Time!!!
I stayed a weekend here for my birthday with family and couldn't ask for a better time! The place is exactly as described. It had more than enough space for myself and my guests. The view at sunrise and sundown were spectacular. Even though my weekend there was still cold outside and it snowed, that didn't stop us from going in the Hot Tub! It had everything we needed from household necessities down to Firewood for Fire pit. Super clean and beautiful decor all around. Not to mention the owner was in touch every step of the way which made the process nice and easy! Definitely booking again!!!

Beautiful views and a wonderful home
Our group of 9 women stayed at this property for a girl's weekend. The accommodations were perfect for us! The owners went out of their way to be available for us if we needed anything. The ONLY down side was the weather was so cold that the hot tub was not able to keep up and we weren't able to use it very much. And with the electric heating system in the house, the kitchen was quite cold as there were no registers in there. There were heated floors in the living area and part of the kitchen, which was very nice. We would definitely stay here again and would love to come back in warmer months to enjoy the lake.

Wonderful!
Better than pictures can capture.this was our grandparents home when we were growing up. I was afraid that the changes would make me sad, but The additions and remodels have created an amazing place. The beds are very comfortable. Although it was too cold for us to sit outside, there are many places to enjoy the outdoors and lake. The hot tub was a wonderful and we will be enjoy the fire pit next time. Yes-we’ve already booked a return visit. Truly better than we hoped.

Lakehouse and pontoon was awesome! Owner was helpful and had great communication as well. Only issue was upstairs master bedroom ceiling light did not work. I had to use a flashlight when it was dark (nightstand lamp did not provide adequate lighting). Would rent AGAIN!

Family fun!
Wow! That is the adjective that covers it all! We had never been to Mona Lake or Norton shores, and we loved it! From the 9 month old to the 60 year old, we had a blast. The lake was awesome, the access to the fabulous boat made beautiful calm rides around the lake fun, and you were directly across the lake from the large beach and playground that the grandkids loved! Talking with Kim was easy, and we had no issues with home at all. Definitely would stay here again! Five star fun all around!

Awesome property
This house was perfect for my family, with 3 generations using the 4 bedrooms (and couches). Everything in the house is newer and very clean. The amenities make the place - between the pontoon boat, kayaks, paddle boards, hot tub, and big lawn for yard games, there was never a dull moment. We had a couple of small issues, but the owner was super responsive about addressing them. We highly recommend!
