I’ve never stayed in a motel this filthy. The bed was clean and comfortable, but the drapes and walls were just plain dirty.

The room was very small and very dirty. The price was way to expensive and not worth it at all.

I'm the type of person who can accept a lot, especially when I stay at a cheaper hotel. However, there were things that I'd like to forewarn other travelers about. Pros, conveniently located to hike Natural Bridge State Park, which is why we were there. The room was clean and even barefoot on the carpet and bathroom floors was good. Bed comfortable with clean sheets. Hot shower. Pink Cadillac Cafe right next door was great. Cons. Do not stay in room 102 if you like watching TV. I can't speak of other rooms, but this was the most bizarre layout I'd ever seen. The TV was parallel to the beds. It sat on a dresser with the bed 6 inches away so the drawers could not be opened. There was space on the wall facing the beds for the dresser/TV, so I don't know why it wasn't there. The bathroom situation was toilet and shower in the tiniest space imaginable. A large person would have trouble fitting.

Safe area, they allowed us to cancel a second room we had booked on the spot, awesome diner right next door for breakfast!

The manager is very nice. The sheets and towels were clean. The motel is VERY rundown and feels sketchy. Not for a woman traveling alone. The room smelled of cigarettes.

We spent the weekend here visiting Washington and Lee University. It was clean, quiet, reasonably priced, and close by the university. We also, went to Natural Bridge and did a short hike. It was convenient having the Pink Cadillac diner right aside of the property. The food was good.

Unable to stay at that hotel because of power loss
Was unable to stay there. The facility had no power. And had no idea when they may get power back. Had to find another motel for the North. Manager at the hotel stated that I would not be charged for that room.

We found BEDBUGS crawling on BOTH queen beds around 230am. Notified owner he assured us they spray for bugs and there was no way we found any. Did NOT offer refund or anything. We left and will never return there. Had to get another hotel at 3am!

Toilet would not flush right, no shampoo. Noisy and non adjustable a/c. Frig make noise all the time. Door had huge gap so traffic noise was not blocked. I would suggest the owner spend a few bucks to make updates. TOTAL DUMP!!

Where does one even start on a review like this? Dingy, dark, crumby? The room smelled like bad decisions and regret. In the bathroom, the toilet paper holder was duct taped to the wall. The only positives were it was affordable and it was available. Staff was friendly enough. The little diner out front was actually quite nice

Location was good, next to the Safari Park. Upset because I lock my room on my way out & when I came back my room was unlock with my dog in the room. Very unsafe for pets and property.

The person at the desk tried to give us 2 rooms with 1 bed in each. He said the price was for rooms with one bed. We had 4 people in our party; 3 in one room and 1 in the other. I showed him the email confirmation and ended up with 2 rooms with 2 full size beds; altho, we reserved 2 rooms with 2 queen size beds in each room. I did not go back and tell him the beds were not what was reserved; we were tired. He was very informative about the diner located in front of the hotel. The rooms were clean. I doubt I would go back there tho

The deadbolt on the door did not work. I pushed a chair up to the door because I had Been driving for hours and did not want the hassle of changing rooms. Seeing as it’s a motel and the door opens to the outside, the deadbolts definitely should work.

Old and run down
The motel is pretty old and run down but was clean. Bed was comfortable but didn’t feel real safe. Overpriced for the condition of the place. Our door was so old i could see daylight through it. The microwave was a rusty mess and no coffee pot.
