Airport Shuttle Ripoff. Bare Room-shared Bath. No!
Stayed 2 Nights. 1/27-28 Had a long layover in Columbo On the 28th which started at noon. We booked the room for 2 nights to ensure that it would be ready when we got there and we would not have to wait for a check in time. Planned to check out around 11 PM The that day for our flight. Hotel is listed as right near airport, and had a shuttle. Actually it is about 10 minutes from the airport in a residential neighborhood with nothing around. No restaurants, stores…nothing. The room itself was OK, totally bare bones but with shared bathroom. By 5 PM we were pretty hungry and even though our flight had been delayed until 3AM we decided to check out so we could and go back to the airport to eat, and wait in the lounge for our flight. Our host took us back and only while we were in the car on the way back did the owner / driver inform us that the charge for the shuttle was 4,000 Rupees! WHICH WAS MORE THAN THE PRICE OF THE ROOM FOR BOTH NIGHTS! (we stayed a total of 5 hours) and a complete ripoff especially by Sri Lankan standards. Up until this point no price for the shuttle was ever mentioned. Luckily we had some SL Rupees left and handed over the ransom or I’m sure we would have been kicked out in the street with all our luggage. In 9 days in Sri Lanka, it was by far the most outrageous price for anything. There are better places to stay, closer to the airport. If you must lock down the shuttle price and bring a sandwich. I would advise you to STAY AWAYA FROM HOUSE OF SEYA.

You have mentioned that I asked you to pay 4000/=. We asked you to pay 4000/= FOR BOTH PICK UP AND DROP. Not only for the drop. You have mentioned that I told you the price on your way. I can show the chat history to prove that I told you the price even before you arrive Sri Lanka. I told you that I need 2000/= only for the pick up. You did not reply. And also I told it through a phone call. You have mentioned that there are no any restaurants or stores near to our place. You people didn't go out. So how could you tell that. Following are the places which are very much closer to our place. Restaurants : My Meal Nayomi's family restaurant Machan negombo Sasha These restaurants which are NOT FAR MORE THAN 1.5km. Stores : Aradhana stores with juice bar (only 100m) Maxi's house store Some guests just go by foot for those places, as they are VERY CLOSER TO OUR PLACE. We have DELIVERY SERVICES within 30 to 45 minutes from Pizza hut and Avenra hotel as for our guests' desires. You didn't ask us for foods or anything. YOU TOLD US that your tickets are business class and you get meals for free and you just left our place. You have mentioned that we did not arrange the rooms on time. You guys arrived our place one day after you booked date. So we already HAD ARRANGED THE ROOM BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. IT'S ONLY 8KM FROM OUR PLACE TO THE AIRPORT. If our guests don't have Sri Lankan rupees we can provide CARD PAYMENT SERVICES. We don't make our guests uncomfortable any time, as we have cultural aspect in hospitality. Don't put these kind of cheap irresponsible comments. It's OK to make comments which we have done. It's not fair to blame us wich we don't deserve.

Etablissement agréable, avec hôte très serviable (petit jus de mange à l'arrivée, prêt de moto, petit déjeuné en chambre). Restaurant proche. Chambre propre et agréable avec ventilateur et moustiquaire. La salle de bain mériterai un petit rafraichissement mais est globalement en bon état. Excellent endroit pour arriver au Sri Lanka

住宅街の中にあるのでとても静かに過ごせましたが街中から外れてあるので近くに売店やレストランはあまりありませんアクティブに旅を考えている方には不向きかも

Our driver could not find the "hotel" The hotel is empty, it is next to a persons house. It is on a residential street down a back alley. Nothing around. NOT Suitable for single female travelers Owner offered to take us to get something to eat. We thought it was a nice gesture, but do not forget nothing is free. It was a pretty sketch vibe, not sure if that was because it was empty or because it was night when we arrived. No food onsite, no restaurant. The "hotel" room does not have a bathroom. One shared amongst the floor. The room itself met expectations. A bed, desk and towel. It was fine for the less than 12 hours I needed to stay, however I would not stay there again. I did not feel safe, and I am sure for the price I paid there is much better located and equipped places to stay. The reason it was booked was because it was the only one that could load with poor internet connection so proper research could not be done.
