Family Group Stay

Our family group had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful property! The home was spacious, clean, and well-equipped to accommodate all of us comfortably. The lake was peaceful and perfect for relaxing, swimming, and making great memories together. The setting was absolutely gorgeous—pictures don’t do it justice!Our kiddos especially loved the complimentary use of the waterboards, kayaks, and canoe—it kept them entertained for hours. The host was also incredibly kind and responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for any large group looking for a relaxing lakefront getaway!

Family vacation

This property is great for a large family. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. It also has a spacious kitchen with a couple tables, breakfast bar, and bar seating inside and 2 picnic tables and extra chairs outside. The canoe, kayaks, paddle boards, and foam Lilly pad, and fishing made for a very enjoyable stay!!

Highly Recommended Cabin for Big Groups — Amazing Hospitality

We had a fantastic stay at this cabin! It was exceptionally clean and very well managed. The owners were incredibly nice and always available to help if needed — their hospitality made a big difference.The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook for a large group, which made meal times easy and enjoyable. One standout feature was the sleeping arrangement — this is probably the only cabin we’ve found that comfortably and truly sleeps 19 people, just as advertised.The open common area on the main floor was perfect for group activities, allowing everyone to gather together comfortably. Bathrooms and showers were also spotless, which we really appreciated.One small suggestion: it would be great if a bit more toilet paper and paper towels were provided, especially since the nearest store is about 13 miles away. That said, the owners were quick to assist when we reached out, which was much appreciated.All in all, highly recommended for large groups looking for a clean, spacious, and well-managed getaway spot!

Comfortable and easy-going place for short business retreat

We were 7 business colleagues/friends, so having 7 bedrooms was essential. The group meeting space exceeded our expectations. The open plan was full of light and with a lake view for our large group discussions and meals. The layout of the shared spaces easily allowed of smaller groups to do different activities at the same time, e.g., cooking, games, conversation. The modern feel and amenities were spot on for our needs.

Wonderful Family Outing

Spacious, modern furnishings, big kitchen, plenty of space, which accommodated our 16 people. Easy access to lake, enjoyed sauna, and very positive experience. Host was easy to work with and responsive. We would return in the future.

Great Visit

This place has lots of space and rooms for our relatively large family gathering. We especially enjoyed the yard games, sauna, campfires, and lake activities. The hosts are great to communicate with and are very welcoming and responsive.

7 of us stayed at this beautiful house and enjoyed the water, outdoors, fire pit, large living space and cooking in the kitchen. Highly recommend this beautiful location for families and friends!

Hayden family vacation

We truly enjoyed our week of family fun at Hygge Lodge. The house was so comfortable and cozy! We loved the sauna, the fishing, the outdoor space for bean bags, and the entire setting. Jodi was so easy to work with and always responded to our questions and needs immediately. I see this property only getting better as it grows.

Something for Everyone!

Large group - 18 people from 3 generations - enjoyed a fantastic week long get away! Lots of water activities - swimming, paddle boarding/kayaking, fishing, and tubing/skiing. Grandparents loved watching from wonderful shaded deck facing the lake. Beautiful Chippewa County ATV trailhead was just 5 miles away. Rusk County trails 15 miles away. Evenings full of yard games and campfires. Large well stocked kitchen with two refrigerators and pantry space made meals easy. Many comfortable sleeping spaces and bathrooms ensured everyone was ready to play all day! Lots of parking space for vehicles and trailers.

Lake Life

Our family spent a week at the Hegge Lodge. We had an amazing time. The house was everything we needed. The host was very accommodating. They gave us information on renting a pontoon for the week. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed every minute. The lake was awesome!

Family Getaway

Our family loved the openness of the downstairs. The back yard is pretty small so we were not able to set up and play the outside games we brought along. We loved the paddle boards and kayaks. It would be nice if there were a ladder on the dock to be able to get in and out of the lake easily - we had small children and we didn't want them climbing out on the rocks. Loved all the beds - they kids definitely had options. Our family enjoyed our stay.

Hang out at Hygge!

Great lodge with a lot of space to hang out for a large group. The beds were comfortable, Deck was awesome and it was great that the dock was large enough for two boats. Hosts are very accommodating messaging prior to our stay, upon check in and checkout.

Perfect space for a large group

We loved it here. We had three families, with kids ranging from 4-12. It was nice to have so many bedrooms with queen sized beds for couples, and the upstairs with multiple beds and lake view room with singles were great for the kids. Laundry machines and two fridges (not including the bar mini fridge and wine cooler!) were excellent to have for our group. Puzzles, karaoke machine and the games were a plus for our rainy days. We loved the stand up paddle boards, kayaks and the water jumping pad the most. The adults enjoyed the sauna- perfect way to relax! Lori even brought by bug spray and smores stuff- and she was easy to contact and quick to respond. Will definitely be back!!

One Heck of a Weekend!

We had an absolute blast staying at this property! The lodge was incredibly comfortable and there was no detail left out. The views of the lake were impeccable, and the common areas were perfect for hanging with with the group, playing games, and enjoying home cooked meals prepared in the beautiful kitchen. The location was perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature, but close enough to fun bars and restaurants. The hosts went above and beyond with a personal note and gift upon arrival and their communication was perfect. We would 100% recommend this property to any group of friends and family looking to have a fun and relaxing weekend. We hope to stay here again in the future!

Incredible cabin getaway!

This cabin was a beautiful place for us to stay! Everything was very clean and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed having a fire (inside and outside) and spent lots of time in the sauna! We hiked at the nearby Ice Age trail and ate at a great local restaurant. This is a great place for family and friend gatherings that we would recommend to anyone!!

Multi Family Weekend Stay

Hygge Lodge was spacious enough for us all! Amenities and layout are very thoughtful creating a welcoming stay. We enjoyed coffee while overlooking the lake, cards and games, relaxation in the sauna, and made good use of the fully equipped kitchen. A beautiful property with plenty of room for all!

What a gem!

What a total gem! This lakefront space was the perfect spot for me to hold my retreat. The moment the guests walked in, they felt the warmth and beauty of the space. Many commented that the energy of this retreat was made better by the gorgeous accommodations and natural setting. Having all the amenities in a gorgeous lakefront setting has been a game changer. I highly recommend the Hygge Lodge on Fireside Lake for your retreat, reunion, friend getaway, or family gathering.
