Bel hôtel d'époque dans une ancienne prison. Le décor est vieillot et c'est ce qui fait son charme. Chambres propres et confortables. Près des principales attractions de Newport.

Lovely property with friendly staff. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants in downtown Newport. The room was large and clean. We would recommend the Jailhouse Inn, and hope to come again.

Unique inn as it used to be a police/jail. Some of the bars are still there. Convenient to shops, restaurants and the wharf. Clean, comfortable bed, and the continental breakfast had a lot of variety.

A very fine bed & breakfast with a very unique history. The Inn was clean and comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offerings were just right before starting our day in beautiful Newport, RI.

Loved the history and character of the Jailhouse Inn. I was very comfortable and felt safe as someone traveling solo. Rooms were big . Many things were in easy walking distance.

Roomy, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast. Carpet in room a little threadbare and found old bloody bandaid on carpet in room so wonder if room was vacuumed. Would recommend removing carpet as most places have replaced with vinyl flooring as is more sanitary. Interesting place

Church across the street, homeless hanging out in the doorways, others hanging out with them. Small park next door with homeless. I did not mind this but if I were elderly or a women, I may mind. Writing this review so people are informed and also knowing the inn has no control of this.

This is a beautiful hotel right in the center of everything with walkable distance to restaurants, shopping, marina. Breakfast is good, there are always home baked cookies throughout the day, fruits, and coffee which is great. Water is also there free of change. I will stay there again.

Clean, comfortable and centrally located B&B
Jailhouse Inn is a centrally located bed and breakfast with comfortable beds, clean rooms, and a friendly and accomodating staff. Their continental breakfast is very good. They offer hard boiled eggs and french toast. A good variety of fresh fruit is available throughout the day as is ice, water, and coffee. There is an M&M dispenser when you check in and out, a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this place if you aren't traveling with small children, can climb a few stairs, and can walk several miles per day.

The room was large and clean, the breakfast buffet was excellent as was the dining area. The staff would not enter the room unless asked to service it but supplied clean towels, sheets upon request. The locaation is great - near the beginning of America's Cup Way.

Sehr hübsches. liebevoll eingerichtetes Hotel. Die Zimmer waren sauber und das Frühstück sensationell. Einzig die Begrüssung dürfte wesentlich freundlicher sein. Der erste Eindruck war nicht wirklich sympathisch sowie willkommen heissend. Die anderen Mitarbeitenden machten dies jedoch wieder wett.
