The room is clean. But, the 2 bright lights at every entrance door attract too many mosquitoes from evening onwards and these eventually enter the room. Hotel should consider lights at some other points. A/C is too noisy and do not cool for hours together.

Business Trip to Manitoulin Island
To be fair, it was decent value. However, it is definitely spartan. The only furniture in the room were the twin beds and the nightside table. No dresser. No chair. No desk. Some plastic hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang clothes, but that was it. It was relatively clean, but there were paint chips missing on the walls and the carpet was worn through outside the bathroom. There bathroom sink was small, with no counter space for a shaving kit. However, the bed was comfortable, it was reasonably clean, and the price was right. It was acceptable for a business trip, but I recommend that you do not take you spouse.

Die teuerste Unterkunft der ganzen Rundreise hat uns enttäuscht. Wir hatten ein Deluxe Zimmer im Haupthaus gebucht. Schon beim Betreten des Zimmers roch es sehr modrig. Obwohl wir das kleine Fenster die ganze Zeit offenließen, verflog der Geruch nicht. Die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen und der fleckige, vermutlich modrige Teppichboden gehört dringend erneuert. Die Lampe war verrostet und die Matratzenbezüge waren ziemlich fleckig. Richtig eklig. Das Management scheint das Office selten zu verlassen, denn es war nicht erwünscht, dass man nach dem Einchecken nochmals klingelt. Davon abgesehen war es Wochenende und das Motel ausgebucht, sonst hätten wir gleich reklamiert. Ich weiß nicht, wo die guten Bewertungen herkommen, denn wenn ich einen Deluxe-Room bezahle, dann erwarte ich zumindest ein besseres Zimmer. Einmal und nie wieder!

Hiking adventure on Manitoulin Island
This motel is old. The rooms are clean, but very very small. The bathroom is even smaller. Not a room that you want to spend a lot of time in. We left a day early and asked for a refund, but didn’t get it, which I totally understand. We forgot our two charging cables in our room. Peter mailed them to us at no charge, which was very kind of him.

Everything was great. We were in 201. Staircase up, a wee view of the water, clean room, fridge and microwave, two tables, lots of space. Close to the water, grocery store and gas station, plus other stores. The only issue was the water in the shower would occasionally get extremely cold or hot. Definitely not a deal breaker for us. My 4 month old, husband and I will be back.

Poor accommodations
Over priced when compared to other motels in the area. Room was small, had an odour and not particularly clean. Shower had extremely low water pressure but there was enough hot water. The bed was comfortable. If you are going to charge relatively close rates to other hotels in the area then it definitely needs an update. I would not recommend this place! Probably give it 4/10

This property appears to be a hold over from the 1970’s, the room extremely small with an even smaller bathroom. The carpet was old and dirty. The motel sits right on the highway with traffic noise all night.

Great little motel!
My stay was overall great. The bathroom door didn’t shut but I was alone so it wasn’t a big deal. Room was super clean and the owner was extremely nice!

I thought I booked two queen beds but got a cramped little room with a double bed. I found it old and shabby with noise from adjacent rooms. Pretty bare bones.

Hawberry motel is in a good location on the main street of Little Current. The room was clean. Nothing fancy but it was a good, safe place to stay.
