Great stay. We were in for my daughters hockey tournament and hotels in steamboat were pretty pricey. Only 25 minutes to the rink/ski area, easy drive no traffic. Rooms are small but super comfortable, really nice to park right in front of the door when you are dragging gear bags in and out. Oak Creek is a cool laid back spot, old school Colorado. Really impressed with the pizza restaurant and couple of good breakfast spots.

I thought I was booking the smaller nicer cabin style rental as that was what was shown in the photos. The room was in the older motel and it was old and run down. Easy entry and was fine for what we needed but was not what was shown in the advertisements. Could have been my oversight but also was disappointed with the quality and state of the room. Very old and dated smelled like cigarettes. Would not recommend or stay again due to high price and quality of room.

I am sorry you were confused about what you booked. We have clear pictures of all of our accommodations on the booking site. Each one having its own pictures so we have no confusion to most guests. Our reviews are always stating that are rooms are neat and clean, which we strive for. We also offer a very budget friendly stay for this area. Rooms in this area average more than 350 a night during ski season. This reservation was 150. I am glad that we could accommodate your budget. Safe travels.

Budget friendly motel
This motel is located 25 min from the ski mountain. Rooms are very simple room so if you are looking for more stay in Steamboat. Beds are hard and have a waterproof cover so it makes noise when you move. It was all we needed since we were only there to sleep.

Sorry you did not have a 5 star experience. We are a small mountain town and we were having a big snow storm. Snow will affect the dish reception so the tv and internet are slowed during those times. Hope you will try us again this summer!

Cute and family friendly place with everything we could hope for and easy access to town, groceries etc. Would recommend a bigger selection of pots and pans if cooking for more than 2 people because the ones in our lodge were really small and we had to cook everything in batches. But there was plenty of room for sleeping. Great wifi and it was clean. Kids and adults were pleased and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in one of the deluxe suite and didn't like the experience - 1) room very small; 2) no light in the kitchen area, so had to do things with dim light from the sleeping area; 3) no kitchen paper towel; 4) not enough facial tissue; 5) no hanger (like the hooks though) and not enough hooks; 6) no one told us the password for the wifi (couldn't find any instruction in the room) and no one replied to our email or call; 7) coffee not good quality; 8) corners of the rugs not lying flat and posed risks of tripping. We spent the last day of 2023 there, which we regretted. The only highlight is that the lady who works at the check-in whom we finally were able to get hold of tried to help and gave us all we requested for. She seemed to be nice.

Thank you for staying with us. Our manager was able to point you to the wifi information that was provided in the room. The lighting in the kitchenette is on a remote located in that area and we provide a kitchen towel not paper towel so there is not so much waste. We are a small boutique motel outside of Steamboat Springs and our prices reflect that. We try to have a very Clean Comfortable Affordable room. Hopefully your next experience will be better.

Great location in Oak Creek, quiet and comfortable.They really are quickly responsive and helpful to any issues that arise. The maid had missed a couple things and Faye immediately got everything sorted out fast! We traveled from California and look forward to our next stay to visit our Son and family again!

The room was updated and very clean and comfortable. I wouldn’t call it a “Lodge.” There are no on-site services or management. The property sits behind a trailer park and rr track, and there is no scenic view. It seemed overpriced for the location.

Thank you for your feedback, it is very valuable to us. As you can see on our website and expedia, there is no amenities on site. Management, lives on site, granted we have to leave the house to run errands and get stuff done. We are also a contact less check in and text check-in information morning of, which is texted from the Lodges Cell phone. If you need anything at all, a phone call or a text we are happy to help if we aren't currently on property.

John, thank you for the feedback. We are a contactless check-in hotel. The morning of check-in you receive a code which is texted from the Lodge cell phone. That is where you can contact us at any point in time for the duration of your stay. If you had needed anything we would have been happy to help in any way.

We are very sorry, we had a mechanical issue. This happens very infrequently . If you would have let us know we would have provided an extra room heater. Hope you try us again!

Stay was fine, nothing elaborate, small bath with shower. Room had a fridge and microwave. Our heater didn’t work and within 10 minutes of letting the owner know we had a portable heater delivered to our room. These lodges are used frequently by hunters. The room met our needs for one night.

We absolutely loved the cottage! This is our new favorite place to stay from the quaint space to the lovely and friendly people in town. We will definitely be booking the cottages again when we are in the Steamboat area!!!

Very clean room
The owner.manager was very helpful in finding me a place to park my truck with a small trailer. The room was very clean and we heard very little noise after 8:00. The information for check in, directions, etc was clear and accurate. I will stay there again.

My Review
There were no night lights in our room or in the bathroom. There was no shelf in the bathroom. There was no clock in our room. Whenever we made toast the smoke alarm would go off. Poor, insufficient contact/communication with hotel staff. Confusing, complicated billing process.

This Place Is A Gem In The Wilds Of Colorado
This place is truly a gem! Spend your day outside and come home to these cute little cabins! Great amenities, comfortable beds, awesome location. The owners are incredibly accommodating and the place is clean and has a great location to Colorado's finest outdoors!

Nice Stay 20 minutes from Steamboat Springs
The Lodges of Oak Creek was a good alternative to the more expensive lodging in Steamboat Springs as we had some flexibility in our schedule for the weekend. The standard room was comfortable and had everything we needed - but FYI, no hairdryer. The location was pleasant and we sat out in front of room each night. There were only a couple of dining options in Oak Creek, but the one we ate at was good.
