Despite the property's promising location with bay views and proximity to the beach, our stay was overshadowed by numerous issues that rendered the condo nearly uninhabitable. Upon arrival, it was immediately apparent that the condo was in a state of disrepair. The furnishings were dated, the overall condition was run down, and cleanliness was severely lacking. The kitchen appliances were rusty, the refrigerator harbored mold and mildew, and the cabinets were filled with leftover items from previous guests. It was evident that a thorough deep cleaning had not been performed in quite some time. Our attempts to address these issues only compounded our frustration. Contacting the property management company proved to be futile, as the receptionist was unhelpful and failed to provide any concrete assurances or timeline for resolution. When we reached out to VRBO for assistance, their response was underwhelming. While they acknowledged the deplorable conditions based on the photos we provided, they could offer little beyond contacting the property management company on our behalf. The cleaning service provided a glimpse into the owner's neglect of the property. Despite their efforts to mitigate some of the cleanliness issues during our stay, it was clear that the root cause—a lack of investment in proper maintenance—was not being addressed. The property manager offered us a refund if we vacated the premises immediately. Regrettably, we had no alternative accommodations available.
