Dave was so helpful and treated us like family .he met us at the airport and showed us where the grocery store was and waited while we got what we needed for the night, then we followed him to the house..He explained everything that we needed to know .The view at the cliff house is amazing and always a cool breeze off the ocean. We saw sea turtles many times in the water. There is no beach assess but tons of beaches in driving distance . The small pool was just what we needed to cool off on a hot day .We were glad we had a car rental because there wasn’t a lot within walking distance but we didn’t want to stay in a busy area.It was always nice and quiet with the exception of some little dogs that would bark some . Dave was more than happy to answer any questions we had and was very kind. He let us stay longer on the last day because our flight didn’t go out until later. We had a great time and we even got to see four monkeys not too far from the back deck area .

Eine tolle Ocean Villa
Wir waren zum 2 und haben die Zweisamkeit und die Ruhe dort genossen.Die Villa mit der Terasse und privaten Pool ist einfach genial.Die Villa liegt bisschen abgelegen es ist wirklich ratsam dann ein Auto zu mieten.Die Kommunikation mit David war sehr hilfreich und er war ein guter Gastgeber.Ich würde gerne wieder kommen.

Ocean and sea turtles
The property manager David is fabulous. He is kind and attentive - He picked our daughter up at the airport, brought her to a grocery store and dropped her off at the house - we arrived a day later. We were so thankful for that. He view is second to none - we so enjoyed watching the sea turtles from the deck. The pool was refreshing and well used by us, especially since it was extra warm during our vacation.

Hermosa vista al oceano con una piscina templada una gran cocina abierta ,con la brisa del oceano entrando a la casa que dispone de 3 dormitorios todos con aire acondicionado todo el equipamiento de la casa en buenas condiciones y en la cual uno puede disfrutar hasta los dias de lluvia en el hemoso deck abierto realmente una experiencia super recomendable sumado al manager quien nos busco y nos acompano al aeropuerto para llevar nuestra maletas hermosisima experiencia

Stunning view & great home
This was an absolutely wonderful get away for me and my family. Apart from the house having everything we wanted, the VIEW is something you don't come across very often (if at all!!!)... we had a great time staying there and if i could give a 100 star review, I would. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!! We honestly had such a wonderful time. I have no doubt we'll be staying again in the future :) Huge thanks to David as well who is an expentional host! Super nice guy and always willing to help if needed. Our stay at Bliss was beyond what we expected :)

East Coast Jewel!!
Great house with an unbeatable view of the ocean! We loved how spacious this house was and the enormous deck overlooking the ocean! Had everything we needed and more! We have stayed in Ocean City 4 times and this house has been the best so far. No need to book elsewhere. We rented a car and drove to different beaches on the west coast each day. We loved coming home to the quiet east side, enjoying dinner and wine on the deck each night. David was super helpful making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for sharing your rental with us David!

Amazing cliff top views
The villa is comfortable, private, has plenty of room for 6 people to stay. The kitchen was appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The view truly is spectacular, overlooking the cliff. Was nice to have our own plunge pool to cool off in. Great location if you are looking for a less busy area to stay in Barbados, yet only a 10 minute drive to the airport, and 30 minutes into Bridgetown. David was an exceptional host, even helping us with finding a place to stay for our first night on the island, due to my booking mistake. A few things kept us from giving this property a 5 star review. It is in the direct route of all planes leaving the island, so air traffic was sometimes busy and very loud. The neighborhood had multiple dogs barking excessively on several of our 10 night stay, which won't be an issue if you leave the windows closed and use the air conditioning. Everything is functional, but the property is tired and in need of updates, particularly the bathrooms and kitchen.

Lovely little gem on surface
First impression of this property is ideal. The swimming pool and decking area is stunning and overall the property was quaint. However, although the cleanliness on the surface was good, it became apparent the property hadn’t had a deep clean for a considerable time and the pillows for example, smelled damp and unpleasant. The toaster hadn’t been cleaned with breadcrumbs from past use evident. We felt compelled to wash the crockery before using. Overall, the villa was very dark, even more so when the shutters were down, which was a shame. We’d booked the villa for 8 nights, but lasted only 2 and sought alternative accommodation for the rest of our stay. It is such a shame, as it really is a little gem - it just needs a bit of work to bring it up to standard.

A dream
Beyond our expectations. The rental is an absolute dream— the sound of soothing waves crashing, spotting sea turtles, the fresh sea breeze. Absolutely loved the whole experience. David was wonderful, met us at the airport and led us to the rental then to a local convenience/ mini grocery store for the essentials. Was quite helpful. We prefer to be away from the city and quieter areas and this was just the place. The island is small and the perimeter can be completed in less than 3 hours. Also, Bridgetown and Bathsheba (joes bridge) are both 30 mins away. I do recommend renting a vehicle, just be warned the driving is on the left hand side, took us a day or two to get used to the driving and how small the streets were. There’s a larger supermarket store Massy located in the villages in charnocks. Highly recommend going there, has all the essentials plus more as it’s a student area. If you’re hoping to find halal chicken, you would be able to find it at that Massy. Reccomend checking out Ostins fish fry outside of Friday and Saturday as it’s usually busy. When I went on Thursday and Monday it was nice and quite, check out Pat’s! I tried the Marlin fish and the Dolphin (mani-mani), delicious!! Tasted like we’ll marinated chicken. Family and I had a wonderful time, and the rental made the stay even better. We watched the sunrise while sipping tea it was peaceful after all the adventure we had during the day.

I can't imagine a more affable and knowledgeable host great on email. phone and in person. The view was awesome, great little town easy to find with a GRPS or by being led by the Host (David) But the linens, kitchen tools, plates, some painting, etc all need help and then Ocean City will be a genuine 10 out of 10 ....Doug

Breathtaking
You definitely go to this side of the island and to this particular property for the view. You are perched up on a cliff with powerful waves smashing into the rock face and beautiful sunrises every morning. It really is an exceptional location. But definitely rent a car, so you can access a small town nearby and some of the amazing beaches which are also very close. We love the property, perfect for our family of five. Highly recommend this place. David was also great to work with - very easy going and helpful.

Amazing home with an amazing view of the ocean!
This property is amazing with an amazing owner. David picked us up the airport and took us to our home for the week then to get some groceries. The house is on a cliff overlooking the ocean with an amazing view. You can see the turtles playing in the ocean below you as well as occasionally have one of the cute little monkeys come by your deck. The pool is great for cooling off in the beautiful hot sun. The kitchen has all the amenities you would need or have at your own home. The neighbours were very friendly. If you are looking for a little bit of paradise in a quiet location in the Barbados I highly recommend this home!

Amazing view cool breeze !
What a place to stay! We had excellent communication from David who not only collected us but also sorted out a car hire for us which was much cheaper than anything we found online. The house has everything g you need for a relaxing self catering holiday,. In addition there were so many extra “touches”!such as binoculars, cool bag chairs for the beach. The location is quiet with very friendly neighbours , you will need a car if you want to explore the island . The WiFi was amazing we didn’t use the tv lounge area we didn’t need it we had a view to die for! Waking up to the sound of the sea and the beautiful sunrise and going to bed after star gazing to the same mesmerising sound relaxed us so much after a busy day exploring Barbados. We hung up the hammock which was fantastic to sway in and read in or just to watch the waves. We walked to fowl beach which was too rough for us to swim in. We Drove to crane beach which was lovely with a less crowded beach next door ginger beach.. we loved Miami Beach and Oistin fish fry.. our favourite snorkel spot was. Speightstown and our best “lazing” beach was Gibbs beach.. the animal flower cave was a ‘MUST swimming inside a cave with views is a memory that will last a life time! Thank you Barbados we have loved you and the friendly locals who are lucky to live here and massive thanks again to David for being so flexible with check in and check out.. I’m writing this on the deck before our flight back to the uk this afternoon feeling sad my two weeks have come to an end :(

Private Bliss
This property and the owner more than met our needs. Private location with great neighborhood for walks. We prefer away from the hustle and bustle of the city and this is exactly the ticket. Thanks for a great getaway!!

Definitely Blissful!
Our stay got off to a great start with the host greeting us at the airport and settling us in, with even a stop at the grocery store. The view was as beautiful as advertised, plenty kitchen equipment to prepare meals with and really anything else we needed. Great relaxing week!

Breezy
Nice place to stay with welcoming breeze as you enter through the carport with a beautiful view. Everyday the breeze felt so good after being out for the day. There was always the sounds of the waves crashing below the cliff. The house was convienent to a couple of grocery stores and a few restaurants. We found it was an easy drive on the Hwy to more stores, restaurants and shopping mall. Overall it was a nice place to stay and the owner was very accommodating.

We needed a quiet place to relax and "Bliss" fit the bill. The easy access to the airport and six roads grocery store were an added bonus. It was clean and safe and David was a great host. LOVED IT

Great location
Wonderful sea-front location, with constant wind and the sound of waves breaking below. Great for sun bathing or cooling off in the shade with a small, pleasant, pool. The owner is very helpful and responds immediately to any concerns. We hope to return.

The house was as described and pictured on the website. The ocean view, deck, pool were a delighhtt.
Landlords Dave and Leith were so very helpful, and a joy to know. Dave took us to the market upon arrival, and then short tour the next day to learn our way to beaches, restaurants, etc. We had no issues with the property or our caregivers. However, we were not prepared to drive so far from the house to get to other pleasurable locations, albeit only 15-30 minutes away. We had difficulty adjusting to driving on the left side of the road, and relied on taxi drivers for going anywhere at night. But if you are looking for a romantic or peaceful place in a beautiful setting with total privacy, you should not be disappointed. It is well equipped, clean, and safe. Enjoy!

While the view is breathtaking, the house could benefit from a few improvements
The house is located on a quiet part of the island. Being on the edge of a cliff, the house gives one the impression of being on a gigantic boat in the middle of the ocean. (We got concerned, however, when we identified a big cave on the rocks underneath the house. How long will the house be sustained as such? Are there any risks of landslides?). Putting this aside, we could enjoy the sunrise by the balcony and all the morning and early afternoon sun - something ideal as the afternoon sun can get really warm! We didn’t have to use the ACs as there’s some breeze at night. The den, where there’s a third double bed, smells of mold a bit, and wasn’t cleaned properly before our arrival. The house does have general appliances and everything works, but in a very spartan way (don’t expect any resemblance of luxury!). The couch and sheets are of rather cheap fabric and might be itchy to more sensitive skins. The host is very friendly and willing to accommodate requests. The house is good value for money, in the end.

Amazing!
This is a great property. Four adults stayed here from January 28th to February 4, 2017. The view is amazing from the deck. Everything you would need is here - coffee maker, kettle, blender, cooking items, etc. The wifi is great and there is satellite television, however we didn't watch it at all. The bedrooms have air conditioning and is great for sleeping. A very friendly neighbourhood. We walked each morning at 6:00 a.m. and felt very safe. The owners - David and Leith are very responsive. They always responded to my inquiries within a couple of hours before we stayed there. During our stay, the coffee maker wasn't working and David replaced it by the time we got back from our day outing. This is a very relaxing house and would definitely return.

Ocean City Cliffside Rental is ... Bliss
So sad to have to leave the beautiful island of Barbados and this amazing property. The house was everything we could have wanted, and more. The view is out of a picture book, a quiet and private place to stay, but still so close to everything we wanted to see and do. David and Leith could not have been any more hospitable, meeting us at the airport for the short drive back to the house which was fully accommodating for our family of four. Our children loved the pool right outside the open kitchen/dining area. We had plenty of space and the house was immaculately clean. Explored the entire island including the Wildlife Preserve, surfing lessons with Barry's Surf School in St. Lawrence Gap, and an exceptionally fun catamaran adventure with Jammin Catamaran Tours. We would highly recommend staying at this property and hope to visit again someday. Thank you David and Leith for all your kind hospitality, recommendations, and a wonderful vacation.
