Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Nice rooms and a very short walk to the lake. Most everything was within walking distance as well. The Commons tasting room was great! It was next to the hotel and spent a couple nights enjoying drinks, music and friendly folks. Owners are amazing😀

Needs improvement
Room was clean but TV didn’t work. No seating to read a book. Door to adjoining room opened freely and couldn’t lock from our side. Towels were very hard, bed was overly soft. Coffee was out at breakfast and no replacement brought in. No dresser or drawer for items to be stored away. Not a good value for the money.

Thank you for your response. I hope our team was able to correct your TV and the adjoining door. With some storms in the last month, we have had issues with our tv's and absolutely our adjoining doors lock on both sides. It does open freely from each side, but not both. When we are past our 10am breakfast conclusion, we do take our coffee to the front desk for our guests to enjoy. Please accept my apologies if we overlapped the time you were enjoying breakfast. I am so sorry you did not feel we were your cup of tea. We appreciate you and your business.

Special circumstances
I'm only reviewing to let you know that even tho I did realize the rate was non refundable, I am disappointed in the inflexibility of this. We had to book something in the area quickly due to a family member being hospitalized and weren't sure when she would be released. When she did get released so we could get home and book a surgery we didn't need the rooms anymore. Even with these emergency circumstances we are stuck with the cost of the unused rooms in addition to the hospital costs and loss of vacation time. Disappointing to find so little empathy and zero flexibility in this situation.

Good and not so great unfortunately
Place is decent, location is really nice for close to things to do. The dock with the property is nice. Unfortunately there’s a ton of noise from people in the parking lots around the property and the road. The various honking was insane. The parking lot has one entrance the bike path right between it is kinda dangerous you about get hit all the time. Parking with no lines so people park chaotic. And I’m not even sure where your supposed to park with a boat trailer.. which is insane considering this place revolves around a lake. The rooms are kinda strange. The only window which everyone who walks by can see though if it’s open maybe put some fricking one way tint or curtains?? The tv is a nightmare literally took me 20 min to fix. The price does not reflect the rooms. The property it’s self is a great idea. But seriously. Put some signs up so if people want to stay with their boats there’s a place to park the spots I’m assuming meant for that aren’t marked so complete airheads take up the only trailer parking spots that would work. And actually enforce people not parking there for the love of god. The breakfast is literally waffles and some bagels not great. Honestly for the cost of two nights it’s insane what they charge for this. If your older there’s a lot of stairs to this place I wouldn’t recommend it. I never review places but this place needs some serious infrastructure work. Don’t charge a resort fee if your allowing 50yr old people to honk in a parking lot at 6am

Great place. We’d stay again
The women at the front desk when we checked in were amazing. The young man at the desk when we came to him with TV. Connectivity issues was very helpful, despite not being able to solve the issue. It would appear there is a systemic issue in your Roku connectivity. May I suggest when you get someone excited for a free breakfast that you clarify for them what their expectations should be. The excitement level for the free breakfast offered to us did not match the offerings.

A very nice place to stay
A different hotel experience in room design and decor. There was no one at the service desk that was locked up during the night. There was a phone number to call listed on the door if assistance was needed.

Labor Day trip
The room was large but very disappointed that there is no dresser or suitcase stand, as an older person it’s very hard to live out of a suitcase on the floor and 4 hangers. Also the bathroom light is way to dark. We were on the upper floor facing the lake and the traffic is very loud. The free continental breakfast is ridiculous and not worth walking over to. The tv channels that are listed on the card in the room you get very little of them and zero local channels wasn’t able to watch football after our day outside very disappointed about that ended up going back to the boardwalk to watch some football. The bed was very comfortable but I felt myself drifting to the edge and had a hard time sleeping with the noise of the AC unit constantly turning on and off.

Thank you for your response. All of our guest rooms have a 6 -10 foot wood piece to serve as a spot for luggage, a desk, a catch all spot. I am so sorry the bathroom light wasn't bright enough, the noise from the highway was bothersome, the tv didn't offer enough channels, breakfast wasn't satisfactory, the A/C was too loud and the bed was not adequate. I hope you were able to enjoy your weekend in Okoboji. We will review your suggestions and step it up where we can. Thank you!

Property is in a great location, and it is kept up very well. The only drawback that we found was the breakfast was very disappointing.

Nice stay right on the lake
Really nice stay, room was well appointed, had a fridge, microwave, and a good overall setup. Very happy with this stay and will stay again. The breakfast options needed some improvement, but great hotel

The room was unigue and very large. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. The only thing that I feel was dissatisfying was the traffic noise. Our room was near the main road and the traffic noise was easily heard. Otherwise I totally recommend this hotel.

It was a great hotel and very clean! Very impressed with everything. Even when we forgot our toothpaste. Also a great location on the trail system.
