This rental is situated in a densely packed, LMI neighborhood that was excessively noisy and felt unsafe. Referring to it as a “gated community” is misleading—it felt more like residents were being contained than protected. During just two nights, I experienced nonstop disturbances: street racing, loud mufflers, fireworks in April, and booming bass from what sounded like dozens of houses. Numerous signs throughout the neighborhood warned of crime and urged people to lock their doors and hide valuables.The property management was disorganized and overly aggressive. Communication was excessive—messages every few hours for a full week prior to arrival. The booking process was drawn out unnecessarily, split into over 20 separate steps instead of being handled efficiently. Management is outsourced internationally, which made coordination even more frustrating.The home itself was uncomfortable and poorly maintained. The thermostat was locked at 72, which felt stifling in 100 heat with 90% humidity. Several bedroom doors didn’t latch properly, the carpets were dirty, showers showed signs of mold, and the beds were far from comfortable. Despite a 280 cleaning fee, guests are expected to take out their own trash. Additionally, a driveway-facing camera—undisclosed in the listing—was an unwelcome surprise.Overall, this stay felt like a profit-driven operation with little regard for guest comfort or experience.
